It was quite cold outside, but Alice felt like she was on figurative fire. Even holding snow in her hands didn't do much to cool her down. She was currently just walking down the street, not intending to go far from home and just letting herself get some fresh air. Fresh air was supposed to be good when you had a fever, right? She couldn't remember where she heard such a thing, maybe she had made it up. But it sounded like good advice, at the very least.
She was a bit more wobbly than usual from the fever and the slippery nature of the snow and ice on the pavement. Snow boots or not, Alice and balance tended to not get along.
Which is why, for a moment, she was wondering why she was looking up at a wall of gray... only to realize it was the sky and she had slipped flat onto her back and stayed there. Oh... She should most certainly move, she was likely being quite a bother to any passerby. Yes, she should definitely move... Just... not yet. Maybe once everything stopped hurting.
She was in pain, really everything ached, including her head. No. Especially her head. She was quite dizzy at the moment. Was that from the fall or the fever, she wondered?
Or perhaps it could be both.
When the wall of gray was suddenly broken up by a face and then two other identical faces, she offered a curtsy while laying down, more or less just moving her dress underneath her winter coat.
"Hello," she offered. "Could the three of you please stop moving? It's making me terribly dizzy," well... dizzier.
B: You can be Alice, I'll be the mad hatter [Closed to close CR]
She was restricted to bed rest and more importantly, to bed.
When the medicine didn't put her to sleep, she was bored. And a bored Alice meant a fidgety one.
Maybe, if only for a moment, she could just go downstairs for a change of scenary. At the very least, she could move her legs. Maybe she'd make some tea. For once, she actually felt hungry, which considering she pretty much couldn't stomach more than tea and soup before feeling full, was a small sign of improvement. She looked all around and made a "shush" noise to her moonflowers in their windowsill box and grabbed Basil before making to tiptoe to her door.
She opened it and looked up into a familiar face. Drat! She had been caught!
"Oh um... we..." honestly with her mind a bit fuzzy she actually couldn't think of an excuse. So she went for the truth. "We're hungry." She held up Basil whose head flopped forward as if upset about the state of his stomach.

"What are you doing out here, Alice? You should be resting inside." Despite the scolding, he tries to keep his voice gentle.

"But it's too hot. Even the snow is too hot," she was flushed, her hair a bit of a mess from the fall but otherwise nothing looked too be hurt. "I feel like my head is on fire."
no subject
"Let's get you some medicine." Considering where they are, herbal medicine might be all that's available, but it's something. Or maybe they can find someone with healing magic that can help.
"Are you okay to walk?" He's happy to carry her, or at least let her lean on him.

At the question she gazed at the ground, trying to focus on it.
"It's slippery," she offered. "Can't find my footing, I lose it and then I become footless... feetless? My feet are not where they should be, which is on the ground," she managed to finally say. She turned back to Roland. "Just wanted some fresh air and to feel cool."

It's Alice - and by the looks of it she doesn't look so well or sound so well for that matter.
"Hallo. Sorry." Then offers his hand, "Here, let me make you better."
no subject
Alice reached for the hand and actually missed, grabbing a little too far to the right of his actual hand before she managed to grab his actual hand. Her skin was hot, and she was still red from fever.
"Can you stop making it feel so hot?" she asked, almost pleadingly. She just wanted this heat to go away.
no subject
"Yes." Ten picks up Alice gently and firmly with her bum in his arms and runs towards to where the Tardis is parked in Fayren.
Which upon entering the console room; least it's nice inside; not too hot or too cold.
no subject
She blinks as she's in the Tardis again and offers the main console a wave, having been informed that the Tardis was a living entity and it was rude to treat her as if she wasn't.
"Why did we come in here, Doctor?"

Her comment on three of him got Uai to look around. He hadn't glitched, had he? But he didn't actually see three other copies of himself... Was she seeing things?]
Are you okay, miss? [He knelt down, not yet offering her a hand. His word choice and tone remained formal, treating her curtsy with equal manners.] What are you doing out here alone?
no subject
I don't feel very alright, sir.
no subject
Uai didn't want to touch her (due to his touch being harmful,) but he did take off his own coat to offer her. At least his is dry.]
Sounds like a fever. That's pretty clever of you, to try to solve it that way. [He smiles lightly, choosing praise over scolding. She's got enough to be upset about, being sick and all.] Can you stand?
no subject
Yes... slowly, I think.

Thirteen is too much of a Mom for me to NOT throw her at this, oh no!
She stopped in her tracks with a small sound of surprise and watched for a moment, waiting to see how the little one would handle her fall, but when she seemed to only stir slightly from her place on the ground, she felt a twinge in her gut as her internal parent came roaring back to the surface. No, she should be moving more then that, something was wrong, definitely wrong! She rushed over and looked down at the little girl, putting on a bright smile for her to hide her concern and reassure her, pulling her screwdriver out of her inside pocket as she crouched down to get a good look at her.
"Hello there, Dear, did you take a little tumble?" She blinked at the girl's words, concern growing as she realized the implications. Double vision, she sounded dazed, probably hit her head harder then it looked. She scanned her quickly, stared at the readings, and gaped at the results before stuffing it back in her pocket and kneeling down to get closer, pulling her coat off and draping it over her small frame. "You're burnin' up, should be in bed! Do you have any parents here, sweetheart?"
Mom away, Thirteen, Alice is all for it
At her question about the tumble she glanced at her feet, or made to glance at them, only to close them when the dizziness came back.
"I'm afraid so... the ground is slippery and I've lost my footing." At the burning up statement, she nodded. "That's... why I came outside. It's too hot," she still hadn't moved to sit up, or to move at all really. "I do. Regina and Neil... they're..." actually going to be furious with her for leaving her bed again... she bit her lip. "I'm not supposed to leave the house, but it's too hot. It's snowing so it should be cold," emphasis on 'should be.' Alice was not actually feeling all that cold. Well, maybe a little now, the snow seeping into her jacket was making things simultaneously more and less comfortable.
B, for fussy Fire Dad
"Likely story, princess." he sighed, sinking into a crouch so he could catch her around the waist and hoist her up into his arms as he stood so he could carry her back to bed. "I know a jailbreak when I see one--don't blame you, though. I hate bein' stuck in bed, too."
Depositing her back in bed, Neil bent to tuck her back in and kiss her cheek.
"Tell you what: how 'bout I bring you a snack, grab something for me--and a carrot for Basil--and I'll tell you a story while you eat."
And, as subtly as he could, look her over for himself to see just how well she was really recovering.
no subject
It was hard to pout through a cheek kiss, but she still managed it.
Still... the promise of a story was, well, promising.
"I get to pick the snack," she mumbled.
B: (since they live together.)
"Hey, it's what a kitchen is for, right? Getting food when you want some?"
It's a pretty neat existence, honestly.
"What were you in the mood for? I think there's a thing of chicken noodle soup in there, probably made by Evie."
And Evie's food was always amazing.
Yish!
Truly she was torn.
"Can we have a sandwich too?" A sandwich should be alright, shouldn't it? Nothing too heavy? The idea of solid food as a whole made her stomach turn a bit while simultaneously rumbling.
Good cuz I'm sure Charlie loves her baby sis to the moon and back.
Listen, okay. She once stole an apple from a pig in a very gross enclosure. There was a barbed wire fence and a mad dash under said fence to get away. Charlie got cut. Charlie got very sick. Charlie almost died. Wild as this first concern may be, she has her reasoning.
"How about a half a sandwich? Like...a cheese sandwich, to start? To go with the soup. And we'll see how you do with that, okay?"
Aww Charlie! She loves you too.

“There’s only one of me.” He felt an urge to make that clear first before anything else. “What are you doing here, alone?”
SORRY FOR THE DELAY!
"Though I'm afraid I don't know who you are."
all good :)
If knowing anyone, he would think knowing herself would be more important than knowing him. He hoped, anyway, her little fall didn’t knock that knowledge out of her. He could empathize, if it did.

B) so sorry for the delay
After a moment, she sighed and bent down to scoop Alice up. "Still too warm, but we can't have you being hungry. That'll make you sicker. If I make you some scrambled eggs with cheese, will you go back to bed after you eat?"
no subject
"Could we watch a movie and then go back to bed?.... Please?" she just didn't want to be in bed anymore.
no subject
"I know it's terrible being kept in when you want to be free." She stroked the girl's bed-mussed hair smooth, and then settled her more firmly to carry her downstairs. "I always hated it. Try to remember that if you do as your told, you'll be free again sooner."
