(Daenerys is now a regular sight on a certain school campus, though, despite her youth, she is not a student. Say hello to your new Diplomacy and Dragons professor. Her experience really shouldn't go to waste, should it?)

Those who wish to take my class will need to be prepared to see real dragons. I don't believe in relying solely on textbooks when this world has a healthy population. However if I hear of anyone harming them or hunting them, I promise you will answer for it.

(After a small pause, she adds, smiling thinly:)

I do not see it as stooping to their level; I see it as acquiring justice and sending a clear message to future hunters. (An eye for an eye so to speak.) If you're not firm, others will follow.

Doing the same thing to them isn't always justice, but more like hypocrisy. And there's little else that I despise more than hypocrites.

I do intend to stand firm, and it will send a stronger message if they see that even their greatest strength cannot defeat me.

When the Great Masters of Meereen crucified one hundred and sixty three slave-children in order to get my attention, I arrived in Meereen, freed their slaves and crucified the Masters in the same manner. I am the Queen of Meereen now.

So you can see that I disagree with your definition of hypocrisy.

Still utterly pointless. Why not just kill them and be done with it? It would send the same exact message to those who would think to follow their example. How you can take the same pleasure in torturing your enemies as they have is beyond me.

They did die. Slowly and painfully like the children they made suffer on the road.

I took no pleasure in it. I'm not a sadist. But I believe men should answer, in full, for their actions. Furthermore, in case it missed your notice, I am a woman. Historically speaking, in my world, women are not conquerors. But I will be like my ancestor Aegon and that means I must be as hard as the Iron Throne on which I will sit when it comes to my enemies.

I'm not saying they shouldn't, just that killing them swiftly would do the job just as well. Delaying their deaths only gives them time to find ways to worm out of death's grasp. If you can afford that in your own world, then you are indeed fortunate. But we don't have that kind of luxury in Sornieth. The Beastclans are capable of killing a dragon with a single blow. That's why we need to finish our enemies quickly, before they have a chance to strike.

And no, it hasn't escaped my notice that you're a woman, but I also know that it makes little difference. The Beastclans do not discriminate between male and female dragons, and female dragons can become just as strong and powerful as the males.

What can weak men of excess do to save themselves? Scream? They were watched by my Unsullied. If they had managed to break free of their nails, they would have found a quick demise. Furthermore, if they had reached me, they would have been burned to death.

Then your society is more evolved than mine. I must constantly show my teeth.

[She pauses, expression grim.]

I have been hunted since I was born. I can't begin to count how many men have tried to poison me or slit my throat in my sleep.

You'd be surprised what one can do in their moments of weakness. In fact, that is often when their true strength shines. My clan and I have proven this time and again. Surely you've seen that yourself you've been hunted all your life.

With the constant battle for survival in my world, I'm not certain if we even have a society. We must also keep our teeth bared and our claws sharp. That was part of the reason I suggested sending the poachers to fight me. It's been too long since I've had a challenging battle, and I do not want my skills to wane.

As I said, these men gorged themselves on good food, wine, women and slaves. They were in no shape to fight. [The only way to overwhelm the Unsullied, as far as she knows, is through sheer numbers. They are experts at what they do.]

What if you are injured? Are they worth the risk?

If I am injured, I will survive. I've been wounded in battle many times before. It's foolish to expect not to take a beating.

[He has no respect for those who can't get back up after taking such a beating.]

Have I told you how I was badly injured just before arriving in this world? I had taken a hit from a spell based from an element that I am especially vulnerable to. I took the hit for Shayla, for I knew she would not have survived it.

I admire your sense of honor; I only warn you that men do not always share it.

(Little men like that aren't worth his time and effort in her opinion.)

Have you healed? Drogon has been injured in battle too and he has healed far quicker than I would.

Oh, I'm well aware of that. Then again, when it comes to a battle for your life, everything is considered "fair."

I have healed by now. Thankfully I have many dragons in my clan in the subarchway who are skilled with healing magic, and one particular dragon who is skilled with medicine, should magic fail.

I'm glad you have them to support you. Still, I think it a waste to face the poachers while they are armed. They too could possess magic.

And magic is something that cannot be taken away from them; therefore it would be risky to force them into the territories of the dragons who are not warriors.

I'm willing to take the risk. I'd rather it be me than any other dragon. Just because I may be vulnerable to certain elements does not mean I will fear those who can control them. The more endurance I can build, the better.

I will watch your battles. There is little I can offer in the way of help, but there might be tactics that occur to a spectator that you miss in the midst of it.

Do you know combat?

I have seen several battles in person, yes, and I know I will see many more. (She has good eyes.) In the battles on Westeros, I rode on Drogon's back more often than not.

[Interesting to know, but not quite what he was asking...]

I meant, can you actually fight? Or do you just watch?

(Her lips twist.)

I am a Queen; not a soldier. However I understand battle and I know how to be victorious.

[He shrugs.]

Why would I need protection when you are the one fighting?

If you're watching nearby, there's always the chance that you could be caught in the storm, so to speak. And certain enemies make it a habit to try to attack my friends and allies to use them as a shield of sorts.

Those enemies are cowards. (She has no love for them.) I shall hide as best as I am able. If things go wrong, I will not blame you.

They sure are...

[At least he shares the same not-love for such cowards.]

Ideally, the opponent should be so focused on me that they won't notice you.

You are not a small target and I do have some experience blending in with my surroundings. (What choice had she had traveling through the desert?) I thank you for your concern.
