Wanted: Fashion Disasters

An up and coming project requires people who want to improve their clothing line among other things. People who offer will, of course, be ending up on television and you'll be getting free stuff that would usually cost a lot.

Hey, so it's been a while since I last made a public post like this. But I had been working on something for a new line of clothing using fabrics I've never used before. So I took as much time as I could to get a hand on it.

But I am at least confident to at least announce that I can now create clothing for those who do a lot of work like fighting and bounties. Things like that. So if you need clothing that suits those needs, let me know.

[He gave a small smile.] Also I am working on another business, but again, that is a work in progress. I will say something when that is ready.

Define ‘fashion disaster’. I might be able to poke a person or two your way.

Kidding. I have a habit of/love of making clothes for my friends, suited to their preferences. What I’m really interested in is the fabrics you mentioned. What fabrics are you working with and where did you get them?

It depends on the city of course because each city has its own style. Most people know however what defines such a thing.

Someone gave me a fabric infused with magic for Christmas, so I've been working with that as well as seeing if it's possible for people of Fayren to infuse magic with fabric. Though I assume it wouldn't be anything too powerful though.

I've noticed. It's very exciting. I do, however, have a deep appreciation for people who find a look they're comfortable with.

I love adding charms and spells to fabric. Spells to keep things from wrinkling, spells on shoes to keep them waterproof. If you need help, please feel free to ask me. My own bits of magic are small, and mostly in potions, but I'd love to help. I'm Evie Mills.

Kaoru Hitachiin, though you must be someone who loves fashion just as much as myself then.

Do you have your own fashion line here too?

[Ted certainly has unique, i.e. clownish clothing, but he'd never say it's disastrous. ~~it is~~ He also knows a thing or two about combat-clothing, though his is creepier than most.]

I couldn't say "no" to better garments. Enchanted ones are especially fine.

It depends on what kind of enchantment you would need, of course.

[He didn't really expect any offer of enchantments whatsoever, but if they're offered...]

Oh, turning invisible, or protection from magical banes, changing colors or sizes, the ability to ward off uncomfortable heat and chill alike, producing illumination in dark places...

Sadly I don't think there could be any magic fabric for a good number of those. The only possible one would be to not feel hot and cold and that would take some experimentation.

Oh, or fabric that could utilize warmth and vibrations to massage sore areas. Perhaps a full medical interface that could use skin contact to diagnose any epidermal ailments? Ah, perhaps even something that could alter its own materials, or even absorb the materials of other garments to alter its makeup!

[He's especially interested in that last one. Man, all these great ideas, and all for free. Then Kaoru's realism tanks the mood.]

...Oh. Sad indeed. Well, let me know if I can assist in any of that. I've interest in the future of fabrics.

All very good ideas, but I just make the outfits, I would have no idea how they do materials like that. It all depends on the people who make them in the first place.

Though curious. Why are you interested in the future of fabrics exactly?

What's a fashion disaster, Mr. Kaoru? Is that when there's a flash flood of garments or a volcano erupting full of shoes and stockings?

No, though interesting. It's basically someone who has bad fashion sense like... for example someone who wears bright colors all over.

What's wrong with bright colors all over! I love bright colors!

If they clash it's very wrong.

Clash? It just depends on where you are. Maybe how you dress is the disaster in Wonderland, for example.

Honestly. Wouldn't be surprised. But there are still limits to colors that go well clothes wise, no matter how insane.

I think Mr. Hatter would only agree with you because he is a hatter. But I do wonder if anyone else in Wonderland or the Looking Glass would care.

Probably not. But they would also be a case of a lost cause because of it. So if they were here I'd just leave them be.

They might trouble you all the more for it then. They're not the sort to enjoy being ignored.

I feel like I would get along with them too well... Minis the clothing choices, but otherwise that's easy to ignore.

I'm sure someday there will be a way. I mean we have subarchways after all of places people know, so it's always possible it might become on or something.

Can a subarchway go into someone's head?

I mean if it did the person would probably be dead if it opened up in there.

but in all honesty, I don't know. I never really had a reason to find out.

Well, I very much don't wish to die just to take you to Wonderland.

I wouldn't want you to die either for that.

But maybe someday this world could bring it to us through whatever means...

I have no experience dressing for civilian life. Would I qualify for this?

No experience? Is there a reason for that? Higher up like a noble or something? Just checking so I have a better idea for an answer.

I can't remember a time in my life before I was a soldier.

I see. I admit I literally would know absolutely nothing about what that would be like. But I am here to help you dressed for civilian life.
