[Lakendell of course was not spared of the recent purging either, as Leo was quick to find out. While almost everyone was accounted for (including Takumi, much as Leo was loathe to admit), he couldn't locate his younger sister anywhere. It didn't take a genius to figure out what had happened, especially with all of the recent postings. So there on the screen now was Leo, calm as he ever was, alongside the horse whose fur matched Leo's own pitch black armor. With that armor, it seemed clear that he was readying himself for combat somewhere.]

I assume that this place also has its own bouts of "spring cleaning," if the recent news is any indication. As much as I hate to say it, my family was not spared either. If there are those of you who were familiar with my sister Elise, she was among the recent departures.

[For just having lost his sister, he seems to be taking it all relatively well. If only because he has the comfort of knowing that back home with suspended time, he knows that Elise is most likely safe. At the very least, she was safe in his timeline. He would like to think the same of the timeline the rest of his siblings were from.]

Regardless of this loss, the Nohrian Family will still be able to give our unwavering aid and dedication to the protection of Fayren alongside the Guardian and her personally chosen team of Deputies.

[He would have referred to Azura as his sister in that particular statement, but in this case he would rather refer to her in a professional manner regarding her elected position. It is a position of the highest regard, after all.]

[Action - "Smoke on the Water" Bounty; Fayren Forest]

[As if to prove his statement of being at the aid of Fayren, Leo had been making preparations to set out for the lake where the "mage activity" had been reported. What a ridiculous way to use one's magical talents. Surely there was a more sinister reason that the victims were dragged into the lake. Leo had his doubts that it was solely killing for fun. If a mage was involved, then he could fathom one of two things immediately: Either there is something at the bottom of the lake that needs feeding (which could potentially be unleashed on Fayren in the future), or the mage is protecting something- something that can't be known by the populace for any reason. Perhaps it was a combination of the two. Regardless, Leo doubted it would be very difficult to find the cause- and if it truly is another magic user, well, they'll regret very quickly that they now have Nohr's finest sorcerer after their head.

He had set out a couple hours prior to the time that the smoke was frequently reported, observing from afar on horseback. For now, he had to first wait for the smoke before he could make any proper plan of action. Regardless of whatever it responsible for these disappearances, they will rue the day they targeted something under the watchful eye of Nohr.]

[ Zaveid is, quite honestly, only out because he's bored. His life has begun to settle, and it's quite pleasant and all together a good thing. But he's used to a lot more adrenaline... So here he is, looking for it.

Leo might notice some odd breeze shifts, and then Zaveid drops out of the air - he thinks he's out of sight when he did that - and wanders up. ]

Waiting for the smoke thing?

[The shift in winds certainly didn't get past Leo, even momentarily making him suspect that his quarry might be in the vicinity, but then that man appeared just suddenly enough to make him jump in the saddle.]

Gods, don't sneak up on me like that! [It's rude! Leo sighs, regaining his composure.] I am. Would I be correct in assuming that you're after the same target?

[ The winds act a little better now that Zaveid's shown up, but they're still behaving a little weird.

He just shrugs at the boy's jump. Sure, sure, no sneaking up, he'll totally remember- ]

Seemed like it'd be a good one. [ Yes, yes he is. ]

Care to work together on it? Name's Zaveid.

Sorry to hear it, Leo. She's a sweet kid.

How are your siblings handling it?

[He could ask himself, seeing as he lives in Lakendell.

But naw. That would be far too awkward.]

[Honestly Uai, it's not like Nohrians bite. ... much.]

Camilla is particularly troubled by it, but I haven't spoken to Xander yet. His absence is starting to concern me.

[He has a horrible feeling that Xander could be gone too, but he might not be willing to come to terms with that idea yet. He would rather not be proven right in this case.]

[He's more worried about being bitten by "Azura's siblings," if anything.]

I haven't seen him this morning myself.

[Which is certainly concerning. Azura has enough stresses without her family disappearing. They all do. And the home this family is returning to won't be pleasant, either. It's not like he can be happy for them.]

Checking the devices would be the easiest way to confirm if they're here.

[You know what would he fun, Leo? A Takumi.]

She was a refreshing breath of air compared to all your seriousness.

[U g h. Why did this damnable place have to keep him around? Was it simply to torture Leo? It did a great job of that if that's the case.]

Not all of us have the luxury of carefree youth like she has.

[What's this? Leo's not immediately telling Takumi to piss off?]

At least she has that luxury.

It's something I liked about her. Something I will miss.

[A pause.]

Well, count yourself among the fortunate that you had your siblings for the time they had here. My sisters are still absent.

That will make two of us.

[He pauses as well. Oh Gods, did he just agree with Takumi?!]

Perhaps, but one could argue whether it was fortune or not. We are still technically prisoners to this realm.

[Hell froze over.]

Then Elise is free. And we still have our respective families. Azura protects Fayren...

Its neither ideal nor preferential to our kingdoms, but it's better than nothing. Wouldn't you say?

[Leo sighs quietly.]

I can't argue with that sentiment. Despite the circumstances, it's at the very least a respite that we can take advantage of, even if we won't remember it once we return home.

[Which is probably for the best. The whole "different timelines" thing is still too much of a headache to think about.]

Yeah... Once we go home, it's back to being at war. No memories that could help us create that world our brothers are from.

[Dammit all. Nohrians are his sworn enemies, and now he's appreciative of a peaceful life with them?

Takumi sighs and glances away for a moment.]

...Hey. Want to grab a drink sometime after work?

[Camilla had not taken to the loss of Elise with the same measure of grace Leo had. Instead, she'd set up a training dummy in the back of the estate and had spent most of her day mutilating it while the wyvern she'd brought home with her simply napped in the garden. However, once she saw Leo making arrangements, she would approach her little brother.]

Where are you getting off to, Leo?

[Leo certainly had his ungraceful moments regarding the loss in his own quarters, but he had a reputation to uphold to everyone else. The loss of Elise certainly stung, and he had growing concerns for Xander. Gods, at least Camilla was still around. Though really, he wasn't sure if it was a bad thing that some of them were still trapped in this world or if it was good that they were given brief respite from their wartorn kingdom.]

Ah, I saw the bounty in the recent tribune for Fayren. I intended to investigate the situation, and with any luck, apprehend the fool before he can cause any potential trouble for our sister. I'll not allow Azura to have more unnecessary work thrust on her.

Would you mind if I tagged along with you, Leo? Minnie needs some exercise, and I have a lot of frustration I need to work off.

[She glances over in the direction of her wyvern who was lazing in the garden.]

Of course, if you'd rather take care of this yourself, I absolutely understand, brother.

[She gives a smile but it's plain as day that she's struggling to keep the facade up.]
