And frankly, he wouldn't even be addressing the network were it not for his circumstances: the fact that he, for some godforsaken reason, had been left the ownership of two hotels. Where it not for this, he would have simply waited for the issue to blow over, much like any of his other problems. )

Hello, I'm afraid many of you are not familiar with me. My name is Kiritsugu Emiya.

( This is all by design, of course. The fewer people who knew him, the better. )

I'm sure many of you are aware of the recent departure of Ayame Sasaki. She designated me as the curator of her properties in Fayren and Nova City in the event anything were to happen. If you have any unattended business with her, do not hesitate to contact me. I will do my best to accommodate. Operations at at her hotels will continue uninterrupted.

( And, that's it. No comments about how he felt about the matter, or any fishing for condolences. He would deal with this in his own, Kiritsugu way. )

( Note: I'd gladly accept any action prompts for this, if any of his cr wants to poke him either at his home or one of the hotels. He's going to be pretty surly about the ordeal. )

[She browses the info from time to time. Mostly checking in on the whole fiasco with the hero thing, and though that this might have been more of the same. She was about to ignore it completely when a certain word caught her attention.]

[Kiritsugu certainly wasn't the only one affected by Ayame's departure. It was easy to tell how moody Gale was in the past few weeks. Less jokes, fewer smiles, more workaholic habits.]

( Kiritsugu isn't the most social of people, but Gale was-- after all, his superior; and more importantly, Ayame's friend. Of course he would do whatever he could for him in her absence. )

I do not know if we ever properly met, Emiya-san. I am Tomoe Himura. I am the head chef at the Amatsu but I worked closely with Ayame-san in running the inn. [Because god love her, Ayame was NOT good with organization but Tomoe was a master of it] I will do my best to aid in the transition.

[She idly wonders if he is any relation to Shirou, but she feels too tired and worn from the loss to care enough to ask right then.]

I'm glad to hear I have your support. Likewise, please let me know if there's anything I can do for you in this time, as well.

( Frankly, he's still unpacking how he feels about becoming Ayame's successor. And while he wasn't the most sociable at the hotel, he at least fully intends to look after the staff Ayame amassed. )

Do you intend to step in to manage in her stead here?

[There's a part of her that bristles even asking it. She can be like a dictator in her space and although Ayame was still in control... Tomoe had taken it upon herself to... straighten out her office and the more technical flow of business.]

I am very familiar with the way the inn runs if not. I should be able to step in almost seamlessly.

[And it would give her more to do. The busier she was the less time she had to think about... everything.]

She designated me as the overseer of both hotels, but I confess I cannot watch both at once. I would gladly welcome the help at Amatsu if you are up to task. I am less familiar with Limniris, so I should acquaint myself with the property over the next week - should you require me.

( Frankly, the same goes for himself. When Tomoe wasn't around, Ayame would require the same of him. And lbr, her absence is - for better or worse - forcing him to become more proactive. )

( While it isn't unusual for Shirou to come looking for him, he is legitimately surprised to hear Shirou at his door given the circumstances. As he's the only one in his room at present, though, he sees no reason to deny him. )

Yes, that's fine. ( Pondering, he adds: ) What is it you need?

( When Shirou enters, he'll find Kiritsugu sitting up on his bed with a book folded neatly in his lap. )

[Shirou opens the door and walks into Kiritsugu's room, closing the door again behind him. The look on his face is an expression of concern.]

I don't need anything. I just wanted to see how you were doing.

( Oh. It's not that he doesn't appreciate Shirou's concern. But he did so much to care for him already, and frankly, Kiritsugu would have preferred to withdraw himself than burden Shirou with his problems. After all, it was the nature of this world. With Ayame's departure, he'd merely learn to adapt. )

Oh. ( He rubs his at his temple, as if trying to cure a bad ache. ) I've been alright.

( Because, even if he wasn't-- in this moment, he will be. )

( There is a part of Kiritsugu that doesn't know how to respond to Archer's question when he manifests before him. A part that still finds being looked after and cared for as a foreign concept. Perhaps it wasn't the most constructive or helpful way to handle his emotions, but without Iri, it was all he knew.

Still, the day had been gradually wearing on him, and the volume of attention he's received wasn't making anything better. So-- for once, Archer will see him quasi-open about his circumstances: )

It's been a rough day. ( Rough week, more like-- if you're counting his deputy duties in Nova. ) But I'll be fine.
