[Pft, smartphones, at least this is someone that actually understands how these things work and doesn't seem too annoyed to be here. Since, uh, kind of better than the alternative at this point.]
So, other than the whole spiel from the hologram there, someone mind answering the question on if, oh I don't know, time continues to move on while we're here? Because that would kind of be a problem I'd rather not have to deal with. [Not that she could do a damn thing if she could go home at this moment, but better to know and deal with the consequences later, right?
Probably.]
Also assuming that any sort of... legal issues stay away from here? Asking for a friend. [Not remotely subtle there, Jolyne.]
[Action]
[Really, it's not that uncommon to see someone like her in the streets normally enough. But seeing someone looking over their shoulder constantly as they move through the streets with definite purpose probably does.
And, for anyone that might happen to have some inclination to seeing things connected to a person's being/soul/whatever, totally might find the blue humanoid figure following behind her a little strange or suspicious, not that she seems to be paying it any mind.]

From what I hear... if anyone leaves, they're sent back to the exact moment you left.
If you're planning anything, though... don't. I've already got manifestations of people's worst fears to be concerned about already without anyone adding to it! [ About as subtle as Gungnir to the face. ]
Wonder if there's a way to make it a bit earlier than when you got here... [She's just going to let that thought wander before finally addressing the second part and snapping out of her thoughts.]
What, the whole record thing? Nah, that was all something I didn't do, so we're fine. Not too interested in ending up behind bars or anything. Just didn't want to have to do the whole song and dance explaining what happened again, gets old after the first couple of times.
Ah, you're in luck since this... place is a little bit outside your home country's jurisdiction. Being a separate dimension and all that. Ah, might I suggest steering clear of Fayren and Everglade for the moment? They're both in a crisis, with those... spirits about.
Video
[Someone's perky.]
As for your question, all I know for certain is that no one's ever expressed having that problem yet. You see, some arrive as you have, vanish, then arrive again with memories further advanced than before. During their second time, they've never reported Genessia or its advents as interrupting things.
Said another way, this world and others, as far as we know, don't appear to intersect, so there's no cause for worry.
[Genessia will provide plenty of those on its own.]
Ah, might I have your name? Mine's Ted.
Video
Though she can't help a bit of a frown, it's not as if she could really go back, that was... mostly impossible at this point, she's pretty sure. But she's thankful to be in one piece right now, so there's that. But maybe there was some sort of hope to be found here... Who knew.]
That's probably better for all of you than it is me at this point.
Jolyne. [He's not getting her last name, oops.]
Re: Video
That's a nice name...
[Some variant of John or Joseph tailored to the feminine, he recalls vaguely. The ellipses are because he's pondering what in the world she means by that. If time did move on, it'd be trouble. If it didn't, or functionally didn't, it'd be...better for them? ???
Backstories are frustrating, not least of all because he's both curious enough to want to know yet mannerly enough to avoid asking.]
Well, nine-tenths of the time this is a tranquil place. Oh, and no, most don't take criminal pasts seriously. Reputation's another matter, but if no one else familiar shows up, you're in the clear.
Video
To your home world, it will seem like you've never left.
Whatever record your friend has won't follow them here.
Video
Anything else this thing didn't say that I should know or are we... good?
Video
Usually during holidays.
[There's a half-smirk, half-smile.]
If you haven't figured it out, there are many more things we do NOT know about our circumstances here, than that we know for certain. Why and how we're taken, or how we go back--besides involuntarily--is one of those mysteries. Most people seem to settle in here like it's a 2nd chance in a way.
Which includes legally. If you had a criminal record back in your world, it's not carried over here unless you bring it up and make a deal. Much the same with any grudges, although there have been people who've tried. But as long as you behave yourself here, in terms of not endangering everyone or breaking the laws--you'll be fine.
So what happens if someone goes to these Dream Docks and they're someone that died in their world? Has anyone tried that? [Because if not, she absolutely would. Look, it's not her fault she can get bored easily enough.]
Had no intentions on causing problems here, lots of stupid shit I did when I was younger, you know, that kinda thing. Teenagers do stupid shit, right? [Especially when rebelling against someone, but we won't talk about that.]
Re: [Video]
[There's a shrug.]
I haven't gone to them m'self, and they're on my list of things to study eventually. And as long as you're not planning on doing stupid shit that causes trouble or endangers people, you'll be fine then.
I... see. And nah, unless someone gives me a reason to do something stupid, I'll just... take this opportunity to chill. [It probably won't last long, but it's okay.]
Re: [Video]
Believe me, I can hold my own well enough if I have to. Let's just say I've... seen some shit. Like invisible zombies, that was something. [Limp Bizkit was a trip, okay.]
Re: [Video]
Everglades? What, is it like some kind of horror movie shit or something?
Re: [Video]
Each of the cities has their own rules, and feel to it.

But the closest I got to know it personally is from people from your own world coming in and they didn't realize you were gone. I put that down to proof that time doesn't seem to move forward.
video;
Is it possible for this place to bring people here from a time earlier than you are? Or is it, like, some sort of you being taken from an important point in time kinda thing? Just... curious.
video;
Which is to say that was a fun moment when one in particular came. [he loved Hikari dearly, but honestly that was not an easy thing to deal with for him.]
