[Video] Diving right in!
[Have a young man with absurdly pale hair and a brooding look to him staring intently for a moment (and a bit too close for comfort until he pulls back). He bears a striking resemblance to another current resident in fact, one Daenerys Targaryen.
Those who pay attention will see the black armor he wears is damaged, with some blood splattered here and there. And there is, of course, water behind him, though he has left the immediate location of his arrival.]
With this being a new world, I wonder, has anyone here seen a living dragon?
[Moving back a bit further, those still watching will see a sigil of a three-headed dragon upon his chest plate.]

(Video) 1/2
The view from her end is shaky, showing sky at first, then ground, and only after she has gathered herself will he see...)
(Video) 2/2
I have.
[Video] 1/2
[Private Video!] 2/2
The brooding fades to a shy hint of delighted smile.]
Who are you to me? I do not think I need introduce myself, though I gladly will if you wish.
[Even more important a question than where the dragons are!]
[Private Video!]
Out of respect, she inclines her head.)
I am...Daenerys. We never met, though I know your face, brother.
[Private Video foreverrrr]
Then we should rectify that sad fact. Where are you, my sister?
no subject
Yet she can't deny him a meeting.)
I will come to you. I have been here longer.
Have you traveled far from where you arrived?
no subject
No. I am by the entrance to...Nova City, though still within the Bay.
[He's been reading all the pamphlets.]
(Action)
Rhaegar never acted like Viserys. He never showed those signs of madness.
She remembers him seeming...sad. Kind and sad - like he knew he was denied the life he deserved.
The time passes quicker than she initially imagined possible and she is at the entrance to Nova City. There is a fresh cut on her cheek - thanks to the ghoul - but otherwise she looks healthy.)
...Rhaegar?
no subject
In the time he waits, he cleans himself up as best he can. Most of the blood is rinsed off, though the damage to the armor is still painfully obvious to what he's just been through prior to 'sleeping'. He's not foolish enough to believe he'd actually survived that last blow from Baratheon.
He stands when he spies her, and takes a step towards her before stopping. Letting her decide how close she wants to be, as much as he'd love nothing more than to scoop her up in a hug.
But she doesn't know him yet, and he doesn't know what she's been through.
...Then he notices the fresh cut, and his violet eyes narrow as he disregards any reservation she might have to him stepping close. He moves slowly to very gently touch her cheek just below the cut.]
Who hurt you?
no subject
Rhaegar cares. She can see that plainly in his violet eyes and she finds herself giving him a trembling smile.)
It doesn't matter. (She covers his hand with her own.) Are you alright? Your armor...
(Her expression falls and she touches the damage.)
Viserys told me what happened.
no subject
It matters to me.
[He desperately wants to protect her already, just knowing she is his sister is enough.
...There is irony in his quick little smile.]
That doesn't matter here. I am here now, just as you are. Armor can be mended.
no subject
She leans against his hands, closing her eyes for a moment.)
Your wounds matter to me. (She opens her eyes in time to see his smile, warmed by it like she is standing in the sunshine.)
We've both seen battle; I will tell you all you wish to know, but until then...
Will you come with me? My home is comfortable.
no subject
Her reaction encourages him to finally wrap her up in a gentle hug, not tight enough to confine her if she wishes to escape. No dragon should be caged.]
If that is what you want, I will gladly come with you.
[It's certainly what he wants!]
no subject
The embrace is exactly what she needs; she holds him, armor and all, sending a clear message. You can always hug me.)
You are welcome in my home, brother. I have so much to tell you about dragons. (She guides him to a car, showing him how to enter it.) We won’t be in this cart long, I promise.
no subject
I look forward to hearing all you have to say.
[He gives the car a dubious look but follows her instructions in how to get inside. It brought her to him safe enough, so he'll trust it until proven otherwise.]
no subject
He killed him. I didn’t stop it. I thought if Viserys was a dragon he would have survived the molten gold. But he burned. I wouldn’t have.
no subject
Father had once been kinder, too. The whole kingdoms know how that turned out.
So he reaches for his sister's hand to give it a supportive squeeze.]
I would not have burned either. [One thing Robert had tried, actually. And failed, not that it had stopped him.]
Did you come to care for your husband? [He doesn't allow jealousy to rule his tone. It sounds like maybe she had? Or at the very least, the man had become protective enough of her to retaliate against the abuse.]
no subject
No bath has been hot enough for me and I have walked through flames twice. Once for my husband’s pyre and once to silence crude, arrogant men who thought to own me in his absence.
(Her expression softens at the question, but the affection is old and laced with sorrow.)
Yes. We were in love and I carried his son for a time. Rhaego and Khal Drogo were taken from me by a witch. I tied her to his pyre when his body burned.
no subject
I have always found boiling water to be the most soothing, if a bit cool.
[But hearing her trials has him frown again, and he tugs on her hand to invite her to lean against him.]
Can you forgive me? Everything you have lost is because of my failure.
no subject
Who did we inherit it from? This ability?
(The tug meets no resistance and she leans against his shoulder, smiling secretly.)
There is nothing to forgive. You fought valiantly, brother, and something wonderful came of it all. I was given three dragon eggs for a wedding present. I placed those eggs in Khal Drogo's pyre and...
They hatched. The hatchlings clung to me until all else was ash and then we rose to greet the dawn together.
no subject
He knows his armor isn't that comfortable to lean against, but he wants to keep her close. And she doesn't seem to mind, so...]
I wish I knew. Others of our family are only resistant to high heat, but not to fire as we are.
[The fact she doesn't blame him is a balm and he presses a kiss to the top of her head before pulling back, hearing of her dragons.]
A mighty gift indeed, and quite appropriate! Would you tell me more of them?
no subject
Not even Father?
(It's hard not to think about Aerys; she blames him far more than Rhaegar. The kiss makes her smile and she looks up at him.)
They are three males: the largest is black and red and I've named him Drogon for the husband I lost, Khal Drogo. One of his brothers is green and bronze and I named him Rhaegal...for you.
(She flushes.)
And the last is my white dragon. I named him Viserion for Viserys.
(Her poor boy. Daenerys can't hide her sadness.)
They followed me as I traveled the East, protecting me and growing.
…What is your interest in dragons?
It doesn't matter. His tone holds a note of respect.]
Curiosity. I have always wanted to see more than the skull of a dragon. My family once befriended them- we were allowed the honor of riding on their backs. It is also known that we share blood.
[Qubine regards the new arrival, tilting his head, his four light blue eyes seemingly white through the holes of his mask.]
I see. I wouldn't imagine dragons would allow just anyone to ride them. I'm still getting used to carrying humans on my back myself...
[He raises his two right eyes.]
Sharing blood with dragons? How does that happen?
No, not just anyone. Sadly, they have all but died out on my world, despite my family's efforts.
They could be stories, I suppose. A legend passed down to explain why and how we are the way we are. The older records aren't as well preserved as I would like.
Are humans rare on your world?
[So in a way, he finds humans equally fascinating, although some things about them puzzle him.]
That must have been quite a shock. You seem to be adapting well.
For the most part, has this world treated you well?
Thank you for your invitation.
[He wouldn't have presumed to go without one, much as he wants to see dragons. Even being blood of dragons in his world.]
My name is Rhaegar.
I'm Qubine, leader of the Kalma Clan in Sornieth.
U-umm...
[Progress!]
...Are you looking for a dragon?
Her appearance has him curious, and her apparent age earns her a gentle hint of a smile and of encouragement. He understands being shy.]
Either a dragon itself, or those who know the truth of them, yes. Your wings are beautiful.
...You think so? [A pause while she bats her wings slightly.] ...Thank you. Daenerys said the same thing... ...You look a lot like her. Are you her brother?
[He's not surprised his sister is known, but there's still a clear sense of awe at the fact he even has a sister and it translates to his smile as it warms.]
I am her eldest brother, Rhaegar.
I met her before. Daenerys... She's really nice. Oh... And my name is Myrrh. I'm a manakete. I... I can change into a dragon.
The revelation of what this shy child can do has him somewhat awed, and he lets it show.]
You have a mighty power, Myrrh. I am glad to know you.
[And glad to hear his dear sister has been kind to this shape-shifter.]
I have. Here and back home.
They are highly magical creatures. Are you looking to make a potion?
So elegant, Gellert.Rhaegar quirks a brow slightly, studying the other.]
More to study them, alive ideally. There are some here?
Who needs proper posture? He's too good for it.]There are more than some. I wouldn't mind seeing them in the wild again.
"Dragons, you say? Well, I've met a few of them, good and ill. There's even a few of them hanging around this world, right now. What makes you so curious?"
Considering she has a bit of a checkered history with a certain avatar of destruction, maybe this person asking about dragons might be a bad sort. But it helps to ask further.
"What is and isn't a 'dragon' varies widely depending on who you ask, as well. Where I'm from, some dragons are like Gods. Some are less so."
