( Well. This is an awkward position to be thrust into. What with the arrival of Dante's brother and leaving the town in 'crisis mode', he's left it up to Integra to take up the mantle, being Attleton's only deputy.

To anyone who may know her, they might have noticed she's been acting a tad more irate than what is typical for her, but to the camera-- at least, she appears perfectly unaffected, composed and rational. )

Good afternoon. Please, allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Integra Hellsing.

( Not being the most sociable person, it's actually been some time since she's addressed the network in such a fashion. A bit awkward, frankly, considering her position in this moment. )

I have come today to inform you all that Dante has had some personal affairs arise, and has left me to manage Attleton in his stead.

( She's so happy about this!! Can't. You. Tell??? )

Additionally, Dante has allocated the funds for me to hire on a new deputy. I will be conducting interviews in the Devil May Cry shop. Please contact me if you have any interest. Thank you.

[Shirou is a bit concerned that Dante has stepped away temporarily. He has no idea why, either, which certainly doesn't help.]

I hope everything is all right with Dante. Anyway, what would be involved in the job as a Deputy Guardian?

( She is so stressed, Shirou. So stressed. But when she sees Shirou's face on the video feed, her face instantly brightens. It pleases her to know a boy like him would take interest. )

At present, you would mostly be tasked to patrolling the city, and being on call in case something were to happen. Attleton is relatively safe compared to the other cities, but that doesn't mean matters aren't incapable of getting out of hand.

( There's an annoyed frown at the end of that sentence. What could be troubling her? )

Oh, that sounds reasonable. I think I could do that work on top of what I'm already doing.

[Shirou pauses, noticing Integra's expression.]

Is something bothering you?

When is the earliest you believe you could meet for an interview?

( She might have her biases, but that doesn't mean she's about to wave the application process for him!! To answer Shirou's question, however. OH BOY, DOES SHE HAVE SOME CHOICE WORDS. )

I'm not sure if you are aware, but there is a woman here from my world, who goes by the name of Rip van Winkle. She is a highly dangerous vampire, who worked as an officer in a subdivision of the Nazi regime during World War II called Millenium. Although it was through my father's efforts we assumed they disbanded after the war, they bided their time and regrouped in Brazil to build a bioengineered vampire army, with intent to wage another war against England 50 years later.

( Basically: World War III with Nazi vampires, Shirou. )

To cut it short, it was one of my agents who killed her, and she's done nothing but give me grief for it since I arrived. It's nothing I cannot handle on my own, though I cannot say she doesn't unsettle me.

( That's simplifying matters, but they'd be here all day otherwise. )

She even had to audacity to submit an application. Can you imagine?

( Whatever frustration she has about this is stifled, but calm. She's not about to blow up on Shirou if she can help it. )

This weekend would be great for an interview if it's possible. I have both days off from work.

[Shirou listens quietly to Integra talking about Rip. And just...what. That's absurd, even by mage standards. What.]

That's...that's a wild plan. I've heard of some wild plans in my time, but that might just be the most wild. The guy in charge must have been a real nutjob, huh?

( Almost like a Nazi version of Kotomine, really. )

It ought to. As it stands, I would be the only deputy serving Attleton in this moment.

( It explains why she's so irate in this position, anyway. )

That would be greatly appreciated. As it stands, I am the only deputy employed in Attleton, and I could use a person on nightwatch.

It would be no problem! It's in our best interest at Genessia that Attleton is well guarded. I will see what I can do about sending you some temporary aid.

Might I be of assistance in any way? I'm scarcely qualified for a Deputy position, mind you, but I am told I make a wonderful cup of tea. And fantastic cakes. Oh, and I'm good at paperwork..?

Oh, Eliot. Good day. ( Is she giggling? ) I'm afraid that's not quite what I'm looking for in a deputy, but as it happens, I'm looking for hires at my teashop in Attleton. Would that be of any interest to you?

Oh dear, I had no intention of implying that I wanted such a position. I meant it as an offer to bring you some refreshments.

[The offer for a teashop position, however, startles him. Eliot pauses for a long moment, biting down on his tongue to resist his instinctual answer.

I'm not sure I'm qualified for such a position. My only purpose is as a Living Library.

( Elliot... what? That's concerning. )

What makes you say that? Certainly there's more to your life than to fulfill one purpose.

I feel safer stepping into Attleton already.

[Can Integra hear the sarcasm in Rip's voice? Yes? Good. Because it's dripping everywhere.]

But~. Maybe I should apply for being a deputy. You of all people know how qualified I am.

While that is not technically inaccurate, I'm certain you forgot to list War Criminal and Menace to Society on your otherwise, impressive résumé.

I was interviewed but not picked by Dante when he was looking for deputies... I wouldn't mind being interviewed again.

( A part of her has to wonder if his interest is due, in part, to Shirou's own. Sorry, Archer, but she's giggling a bit. )

I will be conducting the interviews this time, if that eases your nerves at all.

Anytime is alright with me. I have a few days off from work right now.

That said, I am still fully capable of taking on more work if it comes to it. I don't require sleep so... being useful is a good change of pace.
