( VIDEO/ACTION ⋆✪⋆ 1 ) Turn the stars at the centre of the world.
[ VIDEO ]
[ Upset? Sheryl wasn't upset. In truth, 'upset' would not begin to describe what she is feeling. She was furious, as she doesn't take to kindly to people who kidnap her. That is probably why it took a while before she was in the right mood to finally test the communicators.
When the video turns on, you will see a shot of Sheryl's annoyed face with a harried-looking hologram behind her. Sheryl raised one hand to show the camera a ball of crumpled up brochures.
Did these people just expect Sheryl Nome to roll over and accept it like they were entitled to herself and her freedom? That was unacceptable. Sheryl Nome followed no ones terms but her own. ]
To the people who thought they could contain me, you are all cowards. I don't need your false hospitality or your games.
I am Sheryl Nome and I live by no other rules but mine. For now, I hope we have an understanding.
[ ACTION ]
[ Despite her brave declaration, Sheryl was actually more afraid than she was letting on. Grace had always helped her through whenever she bravely charged one --- but now, she was truly alone. However, her pride would never allow her to become weak at this kind of pressure.
While she was not to keen about accepting help from her captors, she was still in need of information to better understand the situation in the perspective of fellow victims.
She approaches someone and will smile, looking much kinder than the persona on the video ... ]

Hello, do you have a moment?

Re: Action;
Haha, well I've met a few amazons while I've been here. I was especially close to one, and there's not much similarity between you. But even if there was, well...
[He closed his eyes, getting dreamy again.]
In a trio of books I really like--The Lord of the Rings--where a painful truth--painful for me, anyway, is said. You see, it's an adventure story, where the hero encounters dangers and violence galore; great deeds are wanted and great deeds are done.
And yet, at the end, the wise man who's been there through it all had this to say: "I have found that it is the small everyday deed of ordinary folks that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love."
[A hard thing to accept for one as glory-seeking as Ted. If the call ever came for dragon-slaying, he'd be at the top of the list. But experience hasn't born out its importance.]
One thing they don't tell you upon arrival is the impermanence of bodily death. Did you know that? If one were to come and blow your brains out, you'd arrive at The Bay again in about a week none the worse for wear.
But that's death of the body. Death of the spirit, I believe, is the only thing really deadly at all. That's the only real threat to the "survival" you're so concerned about. Yours and others.
Yet for all its unimaginable importance, no one minds it. Were you to ask who might instruct you in some exotic martial art or medieval weapon, you'd get a dozen replies within the week. But how to succor a spirit? That--heh, you know, I don't think that question's ever asked. And it's the most important thing in the world.
And you know, it's funny. Whenever I hear one praise another, it's never, ever about their potency in battle. Never about their fencing, never about their might, but always, always about those "small acts". Everything else is a dime a dozen, and that currency inflates all the time.
Action;
She crosses her arms and breathes a tired sigh. He had really lost her two or three paragraphs in. As nice as the guy was, she might get answers from him but it takes a while to get it. ]
That's nice ...
[ ... but really wondering what all that meant. ]
I am going to go explore this place a bit. Thank you for answering my questions. [ Sort of. ]
They were helpful. [ Sort of. ]
[ She couldn't help but smile at him anyway. ]
Re: Action;
You're welcome, and thank you. That's a good idea. Go under the Protection.
Action;
[ In the end, she really didn't dislike Ted so she was still able to smile at least.
She waved goodbye to him as she walked away. ]
