( VIDEO/ACTION ⋆✪⋆ 1 ) Turn the stars at the centre of the world.
[ VIDEO ]
[ Upset? Sheryl wasn't upset. In truth, 'upset' would not begin to describe what she is feeling. She was furious, as she doesn't take to kindly to people who kidnap her. That is probably why it took a while before she was in the right mood to finally test the communicators.
When the video turns on, you will see a shot of Sheryl's annoyed face with a harried-looking hologram behind her. Sheryl raised one hand to show the camera a ball of crumpled up brochures.
Did these people just expect Sheryl Nome to roll over and accept it like they were entitled to herself and her freedom? That was unacceptable. Sheryl Nome followed no ones terms but her own. ]
To the people who thought they could contain me, you are all cowards. I don't need your false hospitality or your games.
I am Sheryl Nome and I live by no other rules but mine. For now, I hope we have an understanding.
[ ACTION ]
[ Despite her brave declaration, Sheryl was actually more afraid than she was letting on. Grace had always helped her through whenever she bravely charged one --- but now, she was truly alone. However, her pride would never allow her to become weak at this kind of pressure.
While she was not to keen about accepting help from her captors, she was still in need of information to better understand the situation in the perspective of fellow victims.
She approaches someone and will smile, looking much kinder than the persona on the video ... ]

Hello, do you have a moment?

[Action]
[ She goes inside the room with her small bag of temporary clothes and began to change. Since she left the door open, she still continued to speak with her. ]
Surprisingly, I did. I met a lot of interesting people. A few of them I find a bit strange but nice enough.
[Action]
But then...]
Only watch out for Ted. He looks normal but he is a horrible man and you should have nothing to do with him.
no subject
I would love to meet them! Oh, and ...
[ After she finished changing, she comes out of the room with just a simple tank top and shorts. She still needed to remove her makeup but it could wait. Settling on the sofa near Imelda, she answered. ]
I have met him. He is harmless enough but completely infuriating.
no subject
But he is like most men who think they own the world. [she sighs, then smiles]
So tell me about yourself, niña. What else do you do other than sing beautifully? Where are you from? What is your familia like?
no subject
I am from a colony in space called, Galaxy.
I was orphaned at a very young age ... so at the beginning you could say that I sang to live.
As time passed, things changed ... I now live to sing.
no subject
Oh, you remind me of my husband. He was a huerfano too. Though I wouldn't say he sang so that he could live. He wouldn't stop singing-- when he wasn't bothering chickens. [she chuckles a little, smoothing her bone fingers over the fabric of the pants]
He lived to sing too. It's a hard life but.... and be careful out there, niña, because it's even harder for a woman.
no subject
That is the harsh reality for art, unfortunately. I don't think I can ever stop singing either.
If I had to choose, I would want to die nowhere else but the stage.
[ Harsh as the entertainment industry is, she would rather fight that battle than go back to the life she had before. ]
I am Sheryl Nome. There is nothing I can't achieve.

You remind me of De la Cruz. That's how he died, you know. Crushed by a giant bell in the middle of a concert. The cabron. Never could go anywhere without showing off.
[and she had mourned him too. That had shocked her to her core for reasons she still couldn't explain when she heard the news. Well, all of Santa Cecilia had mourned and for a few years after that; and then on the anniversary of his death and birth, it had been intolerable. Requerdame had been utterly inescapable.
And she'd wondered then what Hector was feeling. If he was in mourning. And then spending the entire day-- the entire week of the ridiculous funeral/memorial/fiesta de la Cruz, wondering why Hector didn't stop by the house. Wondering why he didn't come home even to greet Coco. Or even for Coco to say she'd seen him; because even as cruel as she'd been then, she could not keep her little girl from the funeral of her Tio
But there had been nothing. Nothing and her hatred had seethed in her so she couldn't even speak for weeks without wanting to break something.]
Ay, I should have known!
[how could she not have realized he was dead then? how could she not? Even if he wouldn't have come back for her, he would have come back for Coco. And Coco had looked for him, oh she had, always did-- maybe still did for all Imelda knew. And if she had just realized Hector had died and told her, maybe they could have mourned him as he should have been rather than reducing all of them to this half life of not knowing.]
Ah! [she gets up, flinging the pants to the side, then remembers the niña is still there and had been speaking and Imelda has no idea what she said]
Si. Are you hungry? What would you like to eat? [there is food prepared but she needs to do something constructive to do and there is nothing else to be cleaned.]

Dying on stage because of a malfunction was not exactly what she imagined. Sheryl wondered if she should tell her. Sheryl said that because she did quite literally die on stage. At least, she thinks she did. Her last memory was singing a duet with Ranka that she hoped would save everyone and free the Vajra from control.
Seeing Alto disappear ... was the last thing she saw before ... everything just went blank.
She shook her head, trying to forget about her old problems right now. What she was really curious about was the strange relationship between the Senora and her husband. She looked around this place and it did not seem like they live together but she couldn't help but wonder why. ]
Sure? I am not really picky at the moment. I wouldn't know what to pick since I am not sure what kind of cooking you have in your world.

I do have a bit of a sweet tooth. But I am willing to try anything you can whip up. Why don't you make something from where you are from. I am curious about what kind of food you had on Earth.
no subject
Here, help me make them. It will be good training for when you are on your own. [Though she knew there had been a movement for young women to get away from this sort of thing-- It couldn't hurt]
no subject
[ Oh, it could hurt. It could hurt Sheryl at least. She is not known to be very handy in the kitchen. She never really needed to. Grace wanted her to focus on her music and didn't let her step into any kitchen. Food was mostly taken care of for her. ]
I can't say I know much about cooking. What do you need me to do?
no subject
First, wash your hands. That's the most important step. [it seemed to make a world of difference honestly, and for her, she'd always preferred going in clean when she could]
no subject
This was different. Sheryl couldn't help thinking if this was what it was like to have a mother.
Sheryl went to the sink and washed her hands, feeling still a bit uncertain about this. ]
Okay. What comes next?
no subject
[it's easier than words to explain and Imelda moves slowly enough so that the girl will be able to follow her]
Tell me about where you come from. What is it like? Who are your friends?
no subject
I come from a space colony called, Galaxy. I do ... did not have many friends there. Other than the usual entourage, I had Grace who managed my career and Brera who works as our bodyguard.
Things ... began to change later though.
no subject
No, stir a little slower, nina. Like this. [she demonstrates, waiting until Sheryl had it right before going back to her own]
How so?
no subject
It started when I was scheduled to have a concert in another colony called, Frontier. I met a few people there that really changed and saved my life ...
Before them, I had always lived my life selfishly I suppose. Until then, I only had one goal in mind.
no subject
Bien The dough is good now. We roll it out.
[she shows her how to do it with patience]
What will you do while you're here?
no subject
[ She tries to copy her rolling technique and smiled. ]
Not even the challenge of dough rolling.
