[Action: Genessia & Nova City (planetarium, Capsule Corporation store)]
[On this particular day, a newcomer walks the streets for the first time. He's easy to figure out, because he's wearing a military uniform and his head is turning this way and that, either to figure out where he is, or to marvel at the sights in Nova City.
Especially Nova City. While Athrun's world is more advanced than the level of technology found in Genessia proper, it's not nearly as advanced as that in Nova City. At one point he gets drawn in by a broadcast of a hover car race; at another point, he's checking out what's in store at the planetarium. He stops to marvel over an advertisement for Space Adventure, and he hops into the Capsule Corporation store and before he knows it he's bombarding the salespeople there with questions about the capsules and how they work. That last one especially boggles his mind, because he's had an engineer's education -- shrinking objects and restoring their original sizes shouldn't be possible, as far as he knows.
However, it's not all fun and games. Athrun did not choose to come here, nor was he assigned here by a higher-ranking officer. That could only mean that he was brought here without his consent. Out in the city, he felt able to lower his guard. However, once he's within his room at the Genessia Commons, he can get down to business gathering information.]

Action;
It was not easy starting from the bottom, but it was not like she never been here before.
Athrun stood out to her because of his military uniform and the similar look she had when she had first arrived to this world.]
Feeling lost?
no subject
[Being addressed snaps Athrun out of his fascinated observing, and he turns his attention in the direction of the person who spoke to him. There's a bit of mild surprise as he realizes the speaker is a woman about his age, and his heart skips a beat as he realizes how attractive she is. However, it doesn't affect his cool.]
In a manner of speaking. I'm fascinated by what this city has to offer. My own world is more advanced than the other cities, but not this advanced.
How about you?
no subject
I am quite at home here to be quite honest. It is similar to some of the worlds I have been to.
[ She is not staying in this city yet though since she still had a few things to settle and a few people to speak to to jumpstart a new career here. ]
I don't know if I call it lost when I do not have a particular destination in mind.
no subject
[Athrun walks over and takes a seat on the bench next to her.]
This is all so new to me, but you really do look right at home. Where I come from we don't have these kind of floating structures around.
[Athrun motions to the sky. A line of hovercars can be seen stopped at a red light, and there's a floating platform higher up still containing one of the gardens.]
Not this close to Earth, anyway.
no subject
Are you from Earth too?
[ It continues to surprise her how many people here were from Earth. As someone who had traveled the galaxy and going to one space colony to another, she had never really seen what living on real land was like. ]
no subject
I am. My whole life has been spent either on Earth or within its orbit. What about you?
no subject
If this place ... were truly an actual planet, this would be the longest I have been on a planet.
I am not quite sure if this is a planet though ... though that sky does look real.
no subject
So, then, you either live aboard a generation ship, or humanity in your world has achieved faster-than-light travel. Either way, that's incredible. In my world, no human has ventured beyond Jupiter.
[It would appear by the interested look in his eyes and the inquisitive tone in his voice that this kind of thing really interests him.]
no subject
It does seem like it. I do believe our worlds may be similar, so I might be from your world's future.
[ She can't help teasing. ]
I must say, you do look too young to be someone's great grandfather though.
no subject
I would certainly hope so. I'm only eighteen, after all.
no subject
Sheryl places the guitar on the bench and approaches him. She studied his face first then his uniform. There was something different about him though. He did look young but his eyes, felt almost a bit older ... ]
Eighteen? Are you sure?
no subject
Absolutely. Why?
no subject
[ He was handsome. Something else also radiated from him. Maybe she could sense he was reliable and at the moment she did needed a companion exploring this world safely. ]
Are you in the mood for a little exploring?
no subject
That's kind of what I was up to until I met you. I'd be more than happy to get back to it if you're up for it.
By the way, I don't believe I've introduced myself. My name is Athrun Zala.
no subject
My name is Sheryl Nome, Galactic Fairy. Not that the title means much here anymore.
no subject
[Since Sheryl brought it up, he's now curious about the title. What did it mean?]
What kind of title is it? How did you get it?
[As he asks the question, Athrun stands up. He offers Sheryl a hand to pull herself up off the bench as well.]
no subject
She takes his hand and stands. ]
I was a singer back home. In fact, I was the best in the galaxy and of course, all of my work is magical. So fans took to calling me that.
no subject
The best in the galaxy? That's extraordinarily high praise. In that case, I hope I can catch one of your performances someday.
[It won't be his first brush with the idol industry, either. His first brush with it in years, yes, but not overall.]
You say the galaxy. So does that mean that humans have built colonies across the Milky Way?
no subject
Milky Way? It has been a while since I last heard that. I don't think anyone from my time has ever been to the Milky Way. Not since we left that galaxy.
no subject
[Cue expression of legitimate shock. So not only was interstellar travel possible, but intergalactic travel was, too?]
Humans have even left the galaxy in your time? Are we talking the Andromeda Galaxy or some other one?
no subject
I think I have been t the Andromeda Galaxy as a child ...
But with the invention of better ships for intergalactic travel, more and more galaxies have been discovered. Space travel is outside my expertise though.
no subject
[Sheryl was an idol singer, not an astronomer or an engineer. But she was certainly able to tell him how far humanity had progressed in her world.]
I'm sorry for all the questions. It's just the idea of travel to other galaxies is simply incredible to me. We haven't even left our solar system in my world, so the idea of intergalactic travel is as far away to me as...
[He trails off, trying to think of a comparison.]
As far away as manned flight was to the people of medieval Europe.
no subject
But if you understand space travel to this extent, it sounds like your world is on the right track. Though ...
I had always been a bit curious of what it would be like to live on Earth. I suppose, I had a taste of it in the Frontier ...
Why don't you tell me about your world?
no subject
I live in a nation known as the Orb Union. It sits on a chain of islands in the central Pacific, in the midst of the tropics. Let me tell you, there's nothing quite like going out to the beach and staring out at the sea to remind you just how vast the world is. On all sides, just ocean as far as they eye can see.
no subject
One of the reasons she grew quite fond of the Frontier was because its' landscape was more similar to how her parents described Earth. She loved the Galaxy colony and owe a lot to it for her success and making her who she was now, but the Frontier would always intrigue her. ]
I want to see that someday.
Your Earth.
no subject
[But that's the question: Is it possible? Athrun doesn't know if it is. He read that subarchways exist, but he doesn't know if they're the real deal or not.]
It's something that I would love to show to everyone who can see it, to be honest. There are people who have lived their whole lives in space to the point that they've lost touch with the significance of Earth.
no subject
For now, this strange world was going to have to be enough and she supposed that it was more than big enough to explore. ]
For now, I suppose this is the closest thing to your Earth I can be.
Athrun, I have a favor to ask you.
no subject
Yes? What is it?
no subject
After you get settled in, why don't you tag along?
no subject
Really? I mean, sure. I'd be happy to.
[She's been nice enough, and she's a beauty. He'd have to be an idiot to say no.]
no subject
[ She gives him one last wink before walking away. It was getting dark anyway and Senora Rivera was expecting her for dinner. ]

Or did the autocorrect throw you off? Did you mean PLANET?
DAFT PLANET, maybe?
Definitely familiar with planets
A good few you could call daft, even, if we're being brutally honest
Lots of them, actually, did you have anything more specific in mind?
Lovely chaps, though, the Orb Union, are you a member, then?
Didn't think they did much business with humans, really
Mainly humans, here, not that popular with the Orb Union, all sort of gangly and sticky-outy, from an orb point of view, humans are, although if you're a member, I suppose you already know that
Not to brag, but sort of an honorary member, myself, limbs and endoskeleton notwithstanding
They made a bit of an exception in my case
Was passing though and happened to save Its Roundness from a hostile takeover by rogue Cybermen who'd got their protocols mixed up, gave up on upgrading messy humans to pursue mathematical precision and got a bit hung up on symmetry
Would've made rubbish Cybermen, if I'm being honest, just sort of pushy disco balls of death

I believe we're thinking of different entities. To be perfectly honest, I couldn't follow much of that. I apologize.
