[ After leaving the Bay, hasty and a little unsettled, Souji re-takes his search for one person in particular; he asked at the Commonspace address engraved on the key, though the staff failed to help looking out, not knowing about said person. The only source of comunication as stated was the smartphone. Unlucky for him, Souji hasn't been able to get any help, only uncertainty, in how to use the phone. As friendly as he may seem, the realization of him carrying two swords (one short and one large) has driven any possible clarification away, leaving him kinda disheartened.
The instructions are very well written, yes, even though he is a teacher himself he was a student once. As committed as he is to his craft, this he cannot do on his own. ]
Uhm... excuse me!? Sorry to disturb you but, could you tell me how this thing wor--
[ And off there goes another. Sob ;;. ]

[ Here, have a big,flat-faced flounder cheery shot of Souji's face 'a la Peter Parker vlogging' on your feeds people. ]
Good evening. My name is Souji Okita and finally could get a grasp of this thing. [(⌒▽⌒)] I'm in a thorough search for someone named Seizaburo Kamiya. Any information you can provide I'll be indebted to your kindness.
[ He could ask about Hijikata and Kondo or even Saito (who went with Kamiya on that mission), only that the Shinsengumi did have some reputation to take precautions concerning. ]

GREETINGS, STRANGER! IT'S NO TROUBLE, FOR I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, DON'T FIND YOU DISTURBING AT ALL! INDEED, YOU HAVE A SOOTHING AURA OF NORMALCY THAT PUTS ME AT EASE.
[He places a humble yet dignified hand to his chest, basking in his own helpfulness.]
PERHAPS, PERHAPS! THE GREAT PAPYRUS' WISDOM IS OPEN TO ALL WHO ASK! WHAT'S THIS "THING" THAT'S BEFUDDLED YOU??
action;
As much as Souji keeps his guard and senses up at all times, the approach from this certain stranger makes him jolt a little. Is that a... skeleton person-- sir what he's seeing!?
His face cannot hide the stunned expression which is pretty obvious, yet he doesn't feel any threat coming from that skeleton pers-- sir! If so, the drawing of his katana would have been instant kill. ]
A-Ah, Papyrus-san! [ ( : ౦ ‸ ౦ : ) ] I-I appreciate the help you're providing!
This small thing they gave me at The Bay... I was told I could communicate through this.
Re: action;
PAPYRUS-SANS??? OH, YOU MUST MEAN MY SLACKING BROTHER. I'M JUST (THE GREAT) PAPYRUS!!!
[He's not up on honorifics just yet.]
YOU'RE WELCOME! I'M VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE COOL GADGETS GIVEN OUT HERE. AREN'T PHONES THE GREATEST??? HOW ELSE WOULD WE CALL OUR FRIENDS WITHOUT THEM??
[He looks at the one Souji has, then takes his own to compare.]
YOU HAVE GREAT TASTE; IT'S THE SAME MODEL AS MINE! AND GREAT INTELLIGENCE TOO, FOR YOU SEEM TO HAVE FIGURED IT OUT! YOU CAN INDEED COMMUNICATE WITH IT. THAT IS ITS PRIMARY FUNCTION. YOU'RE LEARNING FAST!
action;
Alright then, The Great Papyrus-san. [ Ahaha, forgive him ( ̄▽ ̄*)ゞ] [ Souji looks down at the phone, then back to Papyrus. ] I'm not sure since this object is one I haven't seen in my life until now. Could it help find someone I'm looking for? [ Serious question. ]
How can I call for them here? [ Figured it out, hmmm. Indeed, the letter explained how it is used... except not even the first telephone prototype was ever introduced in Japan until later, so he's struggling. ]
Re: action;
[He'll get it one day.]
THEN YOU'RE IN LUCK! THIS PHONE IS THE BEST I'VE EVER SEEN: IT HAS BUTTONS ON THE SCREEN. OBSERVE!
[With the alluring showmanship of Vanna White, he underscores his own phone with his hand, showing off those scintillating, built-in buttons.]
TO TALK TO SOMEONE, YOU HAVE TO MAKE A "CALL". AM I LOSING YOU? IS THE LINGO TOO MUCH? TO DO THAT, PRESS THE PICTURE OF A PHONE ON YOUR PHONE. AS YOU CAN SEE, THE LAYERS OF TECHNOLOGY GO VERY DEEP.
NEXT, TO PHONE A FRIEND, YOU WILL NEED THEIR NUMBER, WHICH IS JUST LIKE THE PHONE: EVERYONE GETS ONE!
[Again he frames the digital dialpad with his skeletal digits.]
I DO NOT KNOW WHAT NUMBER "#" IS. BUT THE OTHERS ARE FAIR GAME!
action; 1/2
The Great Papyrus-san is such a funny man
-keleton!~ [ Yeah, you did amuse him, good-heartedly of course. Good job, sir. ]action; 2/2
So it has photography inside? Of people and objects too? [ That's... interesting. ] How do I get one of those long numbers you say? [ Takes out the pamphlet. ] Does it say here?

You did well, Okita-san. My name is Hajime Tsukishima. I had trouble with that device when I first arrived. Most people brought here are over a century ahead of us.
I haven't heard or seen anything of the person you're looking for.
video;
I've heard of Golden Kamuy, quite interesting!~Souji, coming from the Bakumatsu period, shows all the features from the bushi line with the pony-tail still, instead of the distinctive top-knot.Seeing him and hearing the name Hajime reminds him of Saito. However, the part of 'century ahead of us' is sort of confusing.
His eyes convey a small sense of instability. All he can do is to keep looking for Kamiya. ]
Tsukishima-san... I'm not accustomed to this kind of device. The most I've seen so far is through photography.
[ And certainly under development; by the time of Meiji era, photography should have progressed quite a lot. Unfortunately for Souji, he may never know. ]
video;
I've seen photography and telephones. This combines them in a way I never thought possible.
[ Tsukishima has seen a lot of technological advances during his lifetime.]
Our presence here doesn't change what happens at home. A comrade of mine was here before I arrived. We never really separated.
[ He saw Koito's name listed in Memoria Park]
video;
It makes him more curious. ]
As did I. Are photography and telephones more advanced in your time?
[ 'Does Japan still have Isami Kondo and Toshizo Hijikata? Are they heroes now?', both questions go unsaid inside his mind. ]
video
I'm not sure if they're much more advanced, especially compared to here.
Ones from your time are still being used in my time.
I think the main difference is more people have access to these things, and are able to collect bromides.
[ Hijikata was involved in a shootout with his superior officer First Lieutenant Tsurumi.]
video
[ ...... ]
What year is in your time?
[ Imagine Souji's reaction if he found out Hijikata can use guns and rifles like a pro! He's as against to those kinds of weapons as himself. ]

[Action]
Have you you just arrived?
action;
Ah...
...Oh!
It hits him then how it is difficult for him to behave before girls his age or younger. There's a faint of coloring on his cheeks at the sight of that lady in white kimono and purple, large scarf. Souji is dumbfounded for a few seconds, only to blink twice as a way of composure to answer her. ]
Y-Yes, I have! Uhm... I'm... trying to get a hold of this machine to look out for someone. I've been taught, but I still have questions.
action;
I will help if I can. The technology is confusing at first. [Alright, there's no 'at first' it's just confusing period.] I am still not particularly good with it.
action;
Sometime, when the times comes, he will discuss with Tomoe how on earth he didn't piss himself at the sight of them. With a bottle of sake, of course. ]
[ He stares at her, about to ask about the phone but instead-- ]
Forgive my asking but, are you from Japan?
action;
[She nods.]
Yes. I was raised in Edo. Forgive me, I assumed you likely were as well.
[Though it isn't so much where he was from but a when he was. Between his clothes, his weapons and the fact that he didn't know how to use the phone it put him much closer to her than most others.]
action;
Yes I was! Currently my residence is in Kyoto, before I was took away to this place. It is 1866.
Which date is it in yours?
