[Ace is sitting and staring, brows furrowed a little. This whole situation has really gotten him frustrated. He went from either dying, or being damn close to it, to this. And while he's absolutely fine with not having his life ended, there's no amount of questions that are unanswered and he's worried for the people left behind. He really did screw up, there was so much he could have done differently, so much trouble he could have saved for those who had to suffer because of his choices and convictions. He's not even sure that his attempt to save his brother worked, and he's not certain he can handle not knowing if those left behind will be okay or not.
It's easier to live without regrets when death is actually the end and you don't have to experience any further consequences.
And now, he's got this second chance but it's overwhelming somehow. He's not going to take for granted a round two at life, but where to go from here when everything is so new and different is exhausting to think about. And somehow exciting too. He's got an idea of what he needs to do, but he's still a little in shock about the whole situation.
After about a minute, he realizes that he's been filming himself, and actually decides to speak.]
Okay, so I'm-[Ace stops mid-sentence, and his head rolls back at an awkward angle. And he starts to snore, while the camera just keeps recording. This goes on for quite a while, unfortunately. And then as suddenly as he passed out, he jerks upright again and blinks. It's a confusing day as is, and narcolepsy doesn't help with that.] Damn. Happened again. Anyway, I'm Ace. If you've got any good information that might help a guy out, I might make it worth your while. [He probably won't.]

Gimme a call when yer done. 'Specially if yer havin' a hard time gettin' yerself 'round. 'S what I do for a livin' now anyway so it ain't outta the ordinary.
An' hey. 'S good t' see y' 'gain. Hope y' stick 'round this time, eh?
[Video]1/2
[That's how it goes, for the most part. Loving beatings or drunken support, that's how they deal with feelings and problems.]
I can't promise anything, but as far as I know I'm stickin' around.

Jolly Eddy's is a protective escort service I been runnin' out in Everglade. Since y' don't know shit 'bout it yet, I'mma tell y' right now: Everglade's awesome. An' dangerous as hell. 'S where vampires an' demons an' ghosts an' zombies all hang out with mystics an' necromancers an' shit. So y' know how it is, if y' ain't badass 'nuff t' fight off all the shit that might wanna kill y' while yer mindin' yer own business, get yerself a friend that can, right?
Well, Jolly Eddy's is that friend. We walk with folk from point A t' point B an' make sure they get there safe. 'S why 's called escorts, cuz that's literally all we's doin'. But for some reason folks is always thinkin' I'm talkin' 'bout prostitutes. 'Specially if they talked t' Rowan 'bout it. Think she gets a kick outta makin' folk think the wrong thing, if y' catch my drift, sheheheheh!
Why? What'd y' hear?

[His expression goes flat enough to rival Marco's deadpan.]

Namur's quiet a moment, then makes a decision.]
Well, guess I'm takin' off t' night.
Cuz yeah, there ain't nothin' makes sense. An' we jus' barely started scratchin' at the iceberg with a toothpick. 'S shit gettin' all this dumped on y' when y' already had yerself a shit day. Where y' drinkin' at?
Ain't like the job's goin' 'way...
You sure? 'Cause I still wanna drink with you.
[It's nice being the boss sometimes.]
Where y' wanna meet up?
[After finishing mission: torment Smoker, Ace calls back.] I don't know where you'd wanna meet up, I don't know this place yet. So just tell me where to go and I'll be there.
[Namur sends Ace a text with the address.]
Make sure yer wearin' yer necklace from the Bay. Otherwise y' ain't gonna have much luck gettin' through the Gates, sheheheh!
[Namur lifts his own pendant out from under his shirt, the opalescent gem having taken the shape of a shark tooth, then cuts the feed. He'll be waiting at the tavern, sipping- such as he can- on a bottle of rum at the bar. There's another bottle waiting next to him.]

[Ace has already been in Fayren once today, and he's absolutely happy to go there again. It's a fantastic place that strikes his interests, there's so much to do and look at. And he's even happier to go back with the purpose of drinking with Namur as the goal.
He finds the tavern without much fuss, and flops down next to Namur with a dorky grin.] Hey! Sorry, kinda got sidetracked a little. There's a lot to see here.
[Action]
Obviously. So what'd y' find?
[Action]
I just went sightseeing. This stuff isn't like what we had back home. [Ace takes a drink, while he thinks.] Well, I was here earlier too, I've been meeting up to drink with people all day.
[Action]
Who'd y' meet so far? Anyone cool?
[Action]
Molly was pretty neat, we made mixed drinks. He was in the circus, so he's pretty fancy looking. Papyrus was weird, kinda crazy, but I had fun. Had a long talk with Rip earlier, she's something else. I mean, I talked to other people too but they stand out.

Glad t' hear it! She took Marco's crest, so where the lot a us goes, so much as we're able t' control it, she goes with us.
[Speaking of crests: Ace may notice a rather familiar one adorning the back of Namur's left hand. It's the mark of Ace's own crew, a black spade, and the name of the crew spelled out just below Namur's knuckles. Namur's messed with the 8 on his neck as well, though it's hard to say for sure what exactly he was going for with that one.]
Anyway, now y' had a couple hours t' let shit sink in, there anythin' else y' feel like y' wanna know right off the bat?
[Action]
Yeah, she's family now. Kinda makes things better, you know? Coming here and having new people to share this with. [This being... a lot of things. Family, brotherhood, new starts. And he does eye that tattoo, he can't help it. His gaze lingers at the hand as he drinks, and he doesn't even know how to process it.] Shit. [He catches his lower lip between his teeth, sighs, and stares at the ceiling for a moment.
Death changes everything.] I don't know what I wanna know. I mean, I actually got here yesterday. Stayed overnight in that room they give out, trying to get it all through my head. And more just kept getting piled on.
[Action]
[Namur reaches around and pats Ace on the back, shaking him up a bit, like a good big brother does.]
Y'll figure it out, Bro. Jus' give yerself time.
[Action]
Oof, Namur, you're strong.] I will. I'm not gonna waste this, or take too long with that figuring out stuff. Second chances aren't just handed out freely.
