[Ace is sitting and staring, brows furrowed a little. This whole situation has really gotten him frustrated. He went from either dying, or being damn close to it, to this. And while he's absolutely fine with not having his life ended, there's no amount of questions that are unanswered and he's worried for the people left behind. He really did screw up, there was so much he could have done differently, so much trouble he could have saved for those who had to suffer because of his choices and convictions. He's not even sure that his attempt to save his brother worked, and he's not certain he can handle not knowing if those left behind will be okay or not.
It's easier to live without regrets when death is actually the end and you don't have to experience any further consequences.
And now, he's got this second chance but it's overwhelming somehow. He's not going to take for granted a round two at life, but where to go from here when everything is so new and different is exhausting to think about. And somehow exciting too. He's got an idea of what he needs to do, but he's still a little in shock about the whole situation.
After about a minute, he realizes that he's been filming himself, and actually decides to speak.]
Okay, so I'm-[Ace stops mid-sentence, and his head rolls back at an awkward angle. And he starts to snore, while the camera just keeps recording. This goes on for quite a while, unfortunately. And then as suddenly as he passed out, he jerks upright again and blinks. It's a confusing day as is, and narcolepsy doesn't help with that.] Damn. Happened again. Anyway, I'm Ace. If you've got any good information that might help a guy out, I might make it worth your while. [He probably won't.]

Not bad. He can appreciate the look for what it's worth. )
I'll never turn down anything hard, sweet, and strange. ( in any regard or capacity, as much seems to be implied. Molly motions with his other hand. ) Are we doing it right here? Which, if that's your thing, I'm certainly not going to complain.

Not that he cares about being seen or not, but he's already had at least one person side-eyeing the bottle and he doesn't want to share.]

I like your hat. ( He notes, reaching up to gently tap one of the red beads along the rim. ) Very in fashion.

The clearing with the trees is just an alleyway away, and Ace continues down, looking at the buildings that surround the walkway as he goes. This place is surreal to him, and even the alleyway is pleasing to the eyes to some degree. But that's over with quickly, and he finds the place that he had in mind.] Our bar! [Not quite, but there's a flat rock and he's going to use that to balance things on.]

Of course. I used to be in the circus - you always want to have a good look for that. Catch people's attention, keep them interested. ( fancy is not a word often associated with his style, but hey, he can at least appreciate a good aesthetic apparently.
Molly continues to follow, equally as distracted by the scenery. Familiar, like he thought before, but ultimately so different it's almost mind boggling. He wonders if the others would appreciate it more.
He looks over at the clearing, the corners of his lips quirking slightly. ) Not bad. Do you bring all of your dates here, or am I special?

Ace flops down by the stone, and starts pulling things out of his bag. Two mugs, multiple bottles, and a little jar. And he smirks, voice full of teasing fun and he starts to look through what he's brought with him.] You're the first I've brought here. That makes you really special.

( Molly cannot say that the circus he was a part of had much competition. They were a one of a kind performance ... right until the end. But he finds it best not to dwell on that last bit for longer than a few seconds.
He continues to watch, taking in the scenery first before settling down cross-legged in front of Ace to observe while he works. If there are any labels on the bottles, Molly cannot read them and sure as hell has no idea what he's getting into.
Perfect. ) I'll be sure to brag to everyone about it.

What's important? Booze. One of the bottles gets poured first, it smells strangely of peppers, spicy when it comes out of the bottle. Then another, that smells peppery and smokey. The jar has something clear in it, and a couple of other bottles come out too. It does not seem like a normal combination, but weird is what they're going for. Weird and sweet. Hard too.]
Good, 'cause I don't mind people drinking and telling. Or whatever. [He stirs, and hands Molly his drink.] I call it the full dinner. You've got meat, candied bacon vodka? You've got vegetables, cucumber and melon liquor, there regular vodka for the potatoes... [What else did he put in?] And some cake vodka and apple pie moonshine for dessert. [He takes a deep and careless drink, and chokes.] I kinda figured that cake vodka would be sweet enough to make the whole thing sweet.

But, he is not a man who fears much, if anything. And when the drink is offered Molly takes it without hesitation.
Ace's words hit him the same time the taste does. It's a cornucopia of tastes and smells and maybe on their own they would be good. Together, it's a disaster. And Molly is so into it. He coughs out a laugh, his nose crinkled slightly as he takes another taste, licking his lips. ]
This is terrible! [ He cheers, raising his mug like he wants to toast. ] I love it.

This time he tries to hold it in his mouth for a moment, as if it's wine and that would help it taste better. That's what people always said, it needs to be savored, but that's for fine wine and not a literal disaster in a cup. He forces it down, and shakes his head.] Yeah that doesn't help. It's just shitty. But it's still gonna get me drunk, so I guess it's doing it's job.

I'm happy to find someone that shares the sentiment. Getting drunk seems to solve so many problems - that, and getting naked.
