Lunch time - Genessia - Fayren Archway - Event - Thoughout the Day
[Allen had been on the job for the past few hours, patrolling in the areas he had been assigned and on the odd occasion or two making sure he walked past the archway to Fayren. So far nothing of real interest, just children messing around now and again, being in places they should be or just drawing graffiti on the walls of a shop, which Allen had been quick to get them to stop even if that was really the police job more than his.

On his patrol however, he found what appeared to be eggs laying around. He had no idea where they came from or who left them, but the young man looked around.]

Anyone leave an... egg... around. [It felt stupid just saying it out loud, but it seemed like no one seemed at all interested in the egg itself. So he came to the conclusion that it was no ones, which made it sitting there very suspicious. In his head, he knew that honestly, he should report it to let Satou tell him what to do. But at the same time, he was worried about what it might do if something were to happen while he did that.

So moving over, he reached out to pick up the egg and suddenly he finds himself surrounded in a puff of red smoke, causing him to cough for a moment. Whoever was close by will see the boy and soon see the effect the egg caused.]

[He waved his hand in front of his face. By not speaking he hadn't noticed much of an effect, however, once the smoke had cleared and he could see the person in front of him, his first thought would be to actually speak. But instead, he quickly found himself with a case of singing. Though given Allen couldn't sing before, he still couldn't now.]

I am okay. [That slow realization hits him.] What the hck is going on?

[Of all eggs, this young man got the one with the bad singing. He would try to write another note, but just hearing his singing made him unable to resist it any longer.]

I'm afraid that it's one of the Easter egg's effects.

And I don't know when will it go away.

[He knew that this was worse than the rabbit ears he had a few hours before. He wondered if he could get away with not having to talk at all. But for the moment he didn't have anything to let other knows what he was saying.]

I honestly don't get, why the eggs have such an effect.

Is it the world's idea of a joke? or just someone for bored?</i.

I don't know the reason, and how they came to be.

But I know it's not permanent. So we just have to wait until it goes away.

It's really rather bothersome to have this with my job.

Because it makes it look like I'm not serious, like protecting people should.

[He tilted his head back, sighing for a brief moment before looking back forward]

Do you know of a possible way I can not talk until this thing tides over?

[Augustine hummed for a moment until he looks at his own notepad.]

I think I know how.

So we can avoid this song...

[He is about to sing another word until he quickly covered his mouth. Like Allen said, just singing their dialogue badly won't take anyone seriously and he didn't want to let other nearby residents suffer from their condition.

Instead, he wrote down on his pad and showed his writing towards the young man.]

[He opened his mouth for a moment before closing it. He knew he was just going to sing again and sing terribly. But right now he didn't have a notepad, but he made a note to actually buy one.]

I will do that as soon as I am able,

[He sighed slightly, he hated this, but hey at least now he had a task in mind.]

[Sycamore nodded as he managed to remain silent to avoid singing again while typing in what he will about to say.]

I also recommend you should call for a day-off. I was given complaints about my singing in Moonbucks earlier and I feel that working at this condition may give my colleagues more problems at the Genessia Scientific Research Foundation.

Even though I am singing, I refuse to take a day off.

I swore to myself and to the person who hired me that I would protect the people of this city.

[And he was going to be rather stubborn about that. The notebook was good enough that he would have to speak.]

I see. Just please be mindful with the others near you. Okay?

[He nodded slightly. He knew he was going to try and be careful and mostly use a notebook.]

That is why I'll get a notebook. using that won't get bothersome.

Alright. Well, I should get going now. Be careful out there, young man.

[Allen made sure to keep his mouth shut for the moment at least to give a firm nod and a wave. It was all he could do in order to stop singing for the time being after all.]

[Augustine nods in return before he waves back to him and leaves Allen alone to go about his day.]
