Bond 21 [Video] Cover Your Ears

[Today's video is a bit different this. Along with Professor Sycamore on screen were his trusty Garchomp and his Greninja by his side as both of them are trying to cover their ears as Sycamore cleared his throat.

You would expect him to greet the viewers normally. But unfortunately, this isn't the case as he starts to sing (very badly) in a tune of a familiar classical song ]

Hello, good day. I hope all of you are okay.

As you can see, these Easter eggs have affected me as well.

I would like to speak normally, but I can't seem to stop myself.

So I'm sorry if this bothers you a lot.

[Sycamore then takes a few seconds to take a few breaths before he continues. As he did, you can see that his Garchomp is unable to deal with her trainer's singing any longer.]

I know it's already too late for me to say this...

But Ash and Professor Kukui, please don't pick up those Easter eggs.

I don't know how many effects will they have other than my singing. But it's best if you two have to avoid the same fate as me.

Until this wears off, it's best if I stay silent for a while.

So with that, farewell, salut, goodbye!

[And before he can continue singing, he wisely cover his mouth as he gestures his Greninja to shut the camera off as the video ends.]

Yeah, thanks for the warning. Gonna stay the hell away from any of those eggs. [Smoker with bunny ears? Fun. This? This is a way to keep Ace from touching a single egg willingly.]

[He wish that he is okay. But with the egg's effects forced him to sing everything he will say, he doubts he can say that truthfully.

He would try replying him in text, but his sudden urge to sing forced him to continue using the video chat instead.]

I doubt that this is okay.

I think the egg also affected my voice as well.

Thanks for the warning. I had been looking at the eggs and wondering if I should give it a go.

[Lycanroc howls while Incineroar covers it's ears and storms off. Ninetails fluffs its snow-white fur in distress and walks off as well.]

Eeeyeah, that's bad. And this all started because you picked up an egg? Certainly wasn't a Softboiled there.

[He ponders for a moment, a grimace of pure thought until he shakes his head.]

Sorry, cousin. If I had my Clefairy, it might've been worth helping you get into tune, or something. Know of anyone else who had this problem?

It's okay.

I think it will wear off in a few hours just like any phenomena. But so far, the only other people I know is the white-haired boy I met earlier.

I don't know if Ash is affected as well from these eggs.

And please, warn everyone you know about them as well. It's not permanent, but I don't know how long will it last.

[Sycamore's affected singing was bad enough for both Garchomp and Greninja, but just hearing this pirate's singing is enough for them to howl and croak in pain before they high-tailed out of the apartment again.

Of course, Sycamore noticed this and glared at the man on the screen.]

Your singing isn't helping my situation right now.

I don't want to disturb my Pokemon and other residents living in this building any longer.

Yeah, will do. [There's a pause, he doesn't want to make him keep talking, or singing in this case. But he also has a small worry.] It's just embarrassing, right? You're not hurt or anything?

But I feel no one will take me seriously if I keep singing.

So I will be silent for a while until this wears off.

[If Ace takes a closer look at the screen, Sycamore's Garchomp and Greninja are hiding on his bed, covering their ears with pillows.]

[Slightly annoyed huff.] And to think it used to be said phoenixes have the best singing voice~ eh?

I must ask my sisters if it's truly as bad as it seems, though they'll likely drown me if so, yoi.

You can also try more eggs to change the effects. But you might get a worse one~

I don't want more eggs to impede my day.

I just want to end this song very quickly.

[Well, that's all he can say now. Just one more word and he would drive his Pokemon out of his apartment.]

That's... a good point. This stuff is a pain to deal with. [Yeah, he notices. Poor pokemon.] Good luck. Hopefully it doesn't last long.

Though if this is anything like the world normally does it will wear off with him. Until then you could try and get a recording contract maybe.

[He didn't sing anything else. Sycamore just covers his mouth and nodded at Ace.]

[Sycamore just responds with a silent glare. He doubts anyone would accept him with his current singing voice right now.]

[Ace just waves awkwardly in a sort of apology and goodbye all in one. He's not going to drag this out and make the poor man sing anymore, and just ends the conversation here.]

But in seriousness try carrying paper and a pen. Annoying, but if you don't want to sing, then it's the best way to communicate. Minus text.

[He has a point. He's about to open his mouth, but realizing about his current situation, he quickly covered it and type his answer in text form instead.]

I agree. This way, I won't make my Pokemon suffer through my current condition right now.

Though I hope that this is like the other temporary phenomena I've encountered in Genessia.

Well, I also worked at Moonbucks as a store clerk after I finished everything for that day in Genessia Scientific Research Foundation, mostly to pay off my apartment's bills.

So you can say I have to communicate with the customers to get their orders and singing them in my current condition may harm their enjoyment.

I work at Moonbucks to... I've never noticed you so we must work at different times.

But you can just write the order down as a waiter would. I do it for those who are at the tables.

I guess we are. What job do you have there?

And that's not a bad idea. I should try that later and other phenomena that may impair my speech.

Barista. I was at one point the poster boy because a lot of female customers would come during my shifts. I was popular with them.
