[Whitney woke up slowly. Did she oversleep? Maybe she spent too much time training for the upcoming PokeAthlon that she signed up for yesterday? That always made her extra tired. Except...This wasn't her bed...She shot up and looked around, knocking the box into her lap. She wasn't at home at all! Or inside...She looked down at the box in her lap. What was that? A present? Opening it, she skimmed the contents, not really paying attention to the brochure. She immediately put on the pendant, and looked at the key and cash. She put everything back in the box, but the communication device, and put the box in her pocket. It looked like a weird pokegear to be honest. She got out of her pod, and checked that she had her pokemon with her. She sighed in relief when she felt her pokeballs. She listened to the hologram sort of. She probably couldn't tell you what was said if she asked. Her mind was racing though. Where was she? How did she get here? What would happen to her gym? She tuned back in to hear the end of what was said.]

Wait! Don't go! I didn't catch what you said!

[She could feel herself tear up. She let herself just start bawling loudly at the edge of the bay for awhile.]

Sniff...I-I uhm don't know what to do...I think I'm l-lost? But can I be lost if I uhm don't know where I'm supposed to be? [She wiped at her eyes.] Can someone help me please?

[The video kicks on to an open field. Probably a ranch. Who knows and who cares? Certainly not this Pokemon Professor.]

Alola, everybody! Professor Kukui here with a fantastic idea, yeah!

With the appearance of Pokemon, and with everyone learning why they are our best buds, I would like to issue a challenge.

Who: Professors Kukui and Sycamore

Where: In a undisclosed location that is not Kukui's usual basement like in Alola.

[It's not every day that two Pokemon Professors got to collaborate on anything scientific. Even less often they did so to investigate the portal anomalies. Kukui went into this wondering if this is related to the ultra wormholes from home, only to be both disappointed and relieved.

During the tiring and emotionally draining search, the professors found and brought home a peculiar hat. All of his Pokemon could see it, but treated it as if it couldn't be interacted with. Incineroar in particular was holding the hat, but acted like it wasn't really there, thus seemed confused about what to do with it, despite knowing what hats are for.]

This is really throwing me for a big ol' U-Turn, cousin. Incineroar doesn't seem to know what to do with it. Here... [Kukui takes The hat from the Pokemon to pass it to his Kalosian colleague.] How does Garchomp act with it?

[The feed kicks on to a tanned man still making some last minute adjustments on before he grins, satisfied with the position.]

Alola! The name's Kukui, good to meet you all. So this is no joke? We passed through a possible Ultra Wormhole into another world? That would make for some crazy stories to tell, yeah!

So, a bit about myself. I'm a Pokémon Professor studying the moves of Pokémon and how they're influenced by the bonds formed between man and mon. It's good to see that Pokémon are here as well, which means I can continue my research, woo!
