Thirty-fifth Reel: Emerge from the depths [Video]

[Grell is many things. Effervescent, over the top, beautiful, annoying, scary, smart, beautiful...but quiet is not one of them. Lately, she's been very much that, so here she is to make up for lost time. At one point in her video, she's wearing a very elegant black dress. She opens a small compact made to resemble a rose and a soft noise emanates from it, instantly changing her outfit. Digital, colored squares appear on her form, changing color and seemingly rearranging themselves so that Grell is now wearing something a bit...revealing, then to an entirely different outfit.

She doesn't look so pleased, but shrugs it off.]

Green is not my color, but you get drift, hmm?

[Closing the compact with a quick click, Grell addresses her audience properly.]

I've been working on this technology for months, and its finally paid off! I'm not much of a seamstress when it comes to physical clothing, yet I don't think I can use that title with digital clothing. The point is: now that I can design my own clothing, I can, at last. cut out the middle man and sell my lingerie designs. At least for my company, Hard Light. Perhaps I'll even branch out to custom tailoring.

[Once more, she opens her compact and taps another button to change back to her original clothing.]

This means that I will be taking orders, if anyone is in need of a few new outfits. I can give a limited time discount, as this is a new service.

[With a wiggle of her fingers and a smile, Grell ends the feed.]

[Oh look, it's Augustine. He might look a tad different these days in shiny black leather but it's the same dhampir from last time peeking in on Miss Sutcliff's latest post. He meant to go incognito before clicking the video but honestly, he's glad he didn't. This wondrous display between fashion AND technology captures his attention immediately. There's no doubt that he's interested in that little rose she possesses.]

What a marvelous device. [He's being sincere for once. That is pretty damn impressive.] Do I dare ask how it works? Or is it best left to secrecy?

I might be interested in purchasing three of those but does this device comes with different outfit settings?

Why, thank you, darling. It works by placing downloadable clothing onto your compact or device application. There's a unique necklace you wear that makes a scan of your body so that all the little bits get covered. Purchasing the initial hardware will give you a chance to choose at least one outfit with your purchase.

But...why three? A bit excessive, really.

[Lingerie? Well he is very interested in that.]

Do you cater to men with your clothing too?

But of course, dear. I can arrange a custom order, if you'd like.

That would be perfect. [His smile is downright wicked.] I was thinking something silky; I'm not that fond of lace.

[Grell readies a notebook and pencil before taking a seat in her swivel chair. She's ready to take notes for her first order!]

Is there any specifics you'd like? Colors? Trimmings? Embellishments? And will this be your only garb?

Oh I agree! I like something that feels sensuous against the skin.

[He likes soft things, okay. Preferably something soft over hard muscles.]

Dark colors - black, blue or green - and I wouldn't hate some straps around the hips.

[Gellert smirks shamelessly.]

Why yes.

[While nodding, the details are written down. One would think with her being so technological that she would just type it down, but Grell is still a bit old fashioned.]

Straps, hmm? I do like a challenge! [She pauses for a moment, twirling her pen between her fingers while in thought.] I could get a few mock ups within two days. You'll need to come in for a fitting, or I could come to you, if that's more convenient.

[There is nothing wrong with that! Gellert was born during the Victorian era, so he understands.]

You struck me as someone who enjoys what they do. [He cants his head to the side and considers what would be best.] I'll come to you. This is supposed to be a bit of a surprise.

[Grell is also from the Victorian Era, so it's good that he understands. They don't make clothing like they did back then.]

I do love fashion, and computer technology is just so fascinating! It doesn't exist in my era. So how can I not enjoy them? Plus, you're my first custom order! [GRINS]

May I have your name, then? And I'll need a time convenient for you.

[Gellert likes his fashion - both now and in the future.]

I've yet to play around with the computers. Are they worth the effort?

[What he has seen Grell do, he can accomplish with magic.]

I am Gellert Grindelwald and I can stop by tomorrow afternoon if you are available?

[Now here's a man with good taste in clothing. Very high quality.]

They can be. It depends on your surroundings. At the least it's worth knowing how they function. Nothing is more annoying than feeling flummoxed by trying to just type a message. [There is a head shake, because she's been there and done that.]

That would be perfect. I'll close my shop for the afternoon, then, Mister Grindlewald. Please stop by my shop in Fayren.

[He is quite particular about what he wears and his grooming.]

I'm afraid I don't have the patience for them. [He would much rather speak in person. He's old fashioned that way.]

[The following afternoon, he Apparates to the shop and reaches to open the door. He is looking dashing; the dark colors bring out his golden hair and blue eyes.]

[Just as she was evening out the till for the day, Grell hears the door open, followed by someone calling out her name. Gellert can see that her shop is very representative of her personality upon entering. Nocturne is playing softly in the background, more so audible now as there weren't any customers.

Being that her register is on the upper floor, Grell looks down and sees who it is and gives him a smile and light wave.]

Mister Grindlewald. You're making quite the entrance~. [Dashing, indeed. She could barely get her husband to keep his shirt on, let alone wear a suit. Not that she's complaining.] Won't you come up? I have some refreshments while the fitting is underway.

[What an atmosphere! Gellert takes in the masterful touches, not noticing her straight away. However when he does, he is delighted to see that her hair is just as vibrant as he had thought it would be. He has a soft spot for auburn or red hair, you see.]

Did I? And it was completely on accident too. [Grinning, he climbs the steps and joins her on the upper floor.] I do appreciate your thoughtfulness.

[SHe does like to take care of her hair, making sure that it didn't drag on the ground by trimming it bimonthly.

Once Gellert makes it to the upper floor, he'll see a waist high table with a teapot sitting under a cozy, two cups with accompanying saucers, and a small plate of finger food: cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches, macaroons, and shortbread cookies. Next to the table is a chair, with a thin silver necklace for the fitting appointment.

Grell walks over to Gellert, red laptop clutched in one hand while her other gestured to the items on the table.]

If you wish for something harder, there is champagne available.

[She sits on velvet sofa and opens the laptop.] I've come up with a few designs.

[Grell knows how to treat her customers! Gellert smirks at the food and gives her a curious glance.]

Do you think I need to be drunk to strip down for you?

[He doesn't. Gellert Grindelwald is forever shameless about showing his skin.]

I would love to see them. [Taking a seat beside her on the sofa, he leans closer to peer at the screen.] You strike me as talented.

[There's a sly grin on her face at the comment.] Nothing wrong with a willing customer, I say.

[She brings up one design on her screen and turns it to show him.]

The first design. [The design is on a faceless model, wearing form fitting briefs in a stone grey color that were made to appear as if it were silk, with the sides exposing the thighs, save for three thick strips of what appears to be black leather.] It's simple, and yet not too ordinary.

[She brings up a second design, with the colors reversed. The most prominent difference being the leather strips were silver, not grey.] This one is a personal favorite. There's just something about black silk that makes it seem luxurious and flattering.

[The last design was a emerald green robe with a silk effect. THere wasn't anything outstanding about it, which is telling just by looking at Grell's face. She looks at it with a sigh.]

I haven't gotten far with this. I just really like the color. Maybe a pattern on the inside...

Interesting little thing you got. Though how quickly can one switch clothing. Like when someone wants to try many options before deciding?

Like I know you showed us here, but I like to know.

[Grell definitely raises an eyebrow at the question before looking just unamused.]

If you've been watching, then your question has already been answered. But I'll be glad to go into more detail. Once your change has been complete, you can switch to the next choice. You can't change halfway through your selection. You'd definitely overwork your hardware and application, so I've put those limits in place.

I was watching. I cannot time it though.

[She soon chuckled.]

I was kidding. Impressive though. Not even people at home managed to do something quite like that yet.

...ah.

[It's good to know that she was only joking, and not actually air headed.]

With this world being so advanced, I thought it would be a waste to not pick up a new skill.

Yeah, though some things I have seen before. But hey, the question would it only be able to store a certain amount of clothing, or are you going to say there is no limit?

This is going to take a lot of customers away from me it seems.

Guess I should work harder or something.

Oh, are you also selling intimate wear? I didn't think anyone else was doing so.

[Putting a bit of worry into her competition is a nice feeling, though.]

I do full outfits. Some people do order such things sometimes, though.

[Thankfully not too often.]

Fortunately, people still like wearing the real deal, but there may be a time where they may want their digital clothing to become reality. Perhaps I should point them in your direction if it comes to that?

[Business is business, after all.]

[He knew that Grell was smart, but he didn't know all that she was capable of.] That's pretty damn impressive. [He's fidgeting.] So you're taking orders... Does that count for the lingerie too? Or just the fancy clothes? I mean, you have a shop for it... [More fidgeting.] Can anyone just go there and make a purchase?

[No one did, but Ace would be pretty amazed at it if he found out.

Ace is still pinked cheeked and nervous, but this is Grell, she's family. And Ace is trusting her with something that makes him nervous and wary.] What kinda questions? I thought I was pretty straightforward...

My shop is open for anyone. I'm really only selling lingerie, though I could take orders for regular clothing. It would be a bit extra, however.

[It's still teasing when it comes from Grell.]

That's what I need. I want some lingerie that will actually fit me. I know I'm not built for a lot of the stuff people normally make, so it'd probably have to be fitted for me? [He's beyond blushing now. How is he supposed to talk about this with family?] But I'm kinda nervous about going in there.
