[A badly focused video comes first, early in the morning hours. It shows part of an armored chest, when it actually focuses enough to be actually recognized as anything at all. Then there's the sound of murmuring, and Fenris saying something rather intense sounding in a language unknown to most. And then he's saying something to someone named Hawke, who's laughter follows after. Whatever is going on, it's amusing them. It's a loud chaotic mess otherwise comprised of the general noises of someone examining a phone without having a clue of how to use one, while wearing clawed gauntlets.

Oh, nice. There's a focused and clear look at a lap now. With even more noise to go with it. Another intense sounding statement that's probably a curse comes after. The phone is dropped suddenly, and the feed ends.]

[Later, mid-afternoon, Fenris manages to post to the network again. This time nothing can be heard clearly, just rustling of fabric and motion. And it's a decently long audio clip, only ending with the sound of the phone hitting the floor, and turning off because of the impact.]

[Finally, late in the evening, a text is sent out.]

[Fenris stares, what is this nonsense? He doesn't know how to respond. So finally, after getting more assistance, he sends a voice clip.] What do you want of me?

( well that didn't last long. )

Was that not obvious from my message?

[Fenris snarls at the short video message, what manner of monster is this creature? He looks something like a desire demon, but a man? He's not heard of a single one of them that comes across as masculine in any sense, not that he can't remember at least.] I will have no dealings with demons.

( Molly has been called a demon, a devil, a monster, and all other manner of insults in the two years he recalls of his life. Fenris' comment does nothing to assuage his pleasant disposition. ) You shouldn't have called me then, my friend.

I did nothing of the sort. You contacted me with that nonsense. [He's starting to think that this might not be a desire demon though. He supposes they could look rather differently than the expected, but still...] What do you want of me?

No, I merely responded to the nonsense you sent me first! ( He is correct in that assumption. Molly is just annoying and looks like a demon. )

Nothing, I just thought I would see what all the hubbub was about. Are you new in town?

I sent nothing. [Fenris is determined that he didn't send anything, those gibberish messages were Molly alone, he still hasn't quite grasped that you can accidentally send something if you're inept enough of the device.

Molly's behavior is throwing him for a loop, though. If he is a demon, he's the least effective one possible. So Fenris is torn between the rage at a monster of that type that dare contact him, and being absolutely confused at the annoying but overall polite conversation.] I am... [Wouldn't a demon of that power know this already? He's confused. Can desire demons breed? How unfortunate.]

( Molly shrugs. He saw what he saw, but it's pretty obvious from Fenris' demeanor that this will be a very circular, boring argument. So he just let's it go. )

Well, allow me to welcome you properly to Genessia. It's absolutely nothing like home, but gods does it have some interesting people about. ( Fenris now included. ) Have you seen the strange see through woman yet?

Fenris— [ Okay, he's (mostly) stopped laughing now; only because Fenris is getting to the point of unbridled rage that makes even Hawke nervous. He reaches down to pick up the phone once it's tossed the second time, looking over the surely cracked screen. ]

Well, now that that's done; how about we ask someone for assistance instead?

[The screen is badly cracked, but somehow seems to respond despite that.

Fenris takes his head into his hands for a moment, and just breathes. He feels beyond trapped since arriving to Genessia, he's already racked up damage charges, and he's simply exhausted. If Hawke wasn't here, the would certainly be blood at this point.

He makes a small, frustrated sound, and looks up when Hawke speaks.]

And who would we ask? We're alone here for all that we know.

( Hawke shakes his head, reaching a slow and hesitant hand out to gently rest on Fenris' shoulder in what he can only hope is a comforting gesture. It doesn't linger for long, lest he agitate the elf further, but it's something, right? )

We're not alone. I wandered out of the bay a bit when I woke up and saw a whole city of metal awaiting us; along with plenty of people on the street we can harass. ( a beat. ) I can harass.

[It is something, and Fenris' expression becomes softer, his shoulders less sharply hunched. This is not an idea situation. And Fenris doesn't know how to deal with it. But at least he doesn't have to deal with it alone.

He meant alone from their world, apart from any other allies that he knows of at least, but yes. It's time to go and see the rest of this mess of a place.] Yes, you're good at that. [Not that he'll be alone at it. Fenris is going to be there to do his own version of harassment if things go wrong. This shiny new world seems dangerous. And he's expecting a fight quickly.]

( He can't say for certain they're alone in that regard either, truthfully. For all they know the others have already found a place to camp out (a bar) and are making themselves right at home. Either way, sitting around griping about it surely won't solve anything in the long run. And it definitely won't help Fenris calm down.

Hawke smiles, motioning for Fenris to follow. )

Come on, it can't be all bad - it looks cleaner than Kirkwall already.

[Where Hawke goes, Fenris follows. And honestly, Hawke isn't wrong. The place does look clean and sharp, unnaturally so. And it's unnerving to him, nothing around him is familiar in the least.] When I woke, there was a woman who spoke to me. She wasn't actually there. A specter, perhaps. [He didn't get to hear all of the conversation, unfortunately. And property damage charges are already a thing.]

Are you okay?

[It's some time before there's a response.] Did you... [A pause comes.] Want something of me?

No, I'm just wondering if you're alright. The video feed was concerning alone, and then you typed gibberish. Are you just not used to this technology?

I am as well as one could expect. This place is not familiar to me. And I do not know how to use these contraptions.

[He chuckles softly.]

I've been here twice now, and the technology is still a little new to me, too.

[But he's at least able to prevent himself from sending out gibberish.]

Would you like some lessons, though? I can teach a bit, at least.

[Fenris is not trusting, not comfortable, but he's not so stupid as to deny the fact that he's entirely out of his element. Hawke is here, but they're both new to this, from a world with nothing of this sort of technology...

His pride is screaming at him, though. He needs help but isn't sure how to accept it.] I could... compensate you. I'm good for it. I just need to know the basics.

[Compensate?

Seeing as how he'd just arrived here again, he has very little in the way of funds. But still -- he'd feel a little guilty asking for money in exchange for showing this guy how to work the device.]

Don't worry about paying me. Shouldn't take long to show you the basics, anyway.

Where are you? It'd be easier to do this in person.

[Fenris also just arrived. So his funds are incredibly limited too. But he feels like he owes his companion who arrived with him something in the way of effort, and if he's able to figure out the phone at least a little he'd be helping him back for all of his kindness that way.] I'm still in Genessia city. I do not know these lands. But if you tell me where to come I can find my way there.

[The way this man speaks is a little amusing to the revolutionary, and he can't help but let out the lightest chuckle before responding.]

I think there's a park we could meet up in. Called -- [He pauses to look it up.] Garden Park. Have you heard of it?
