WHO: Weiss Schnee & Sun Wukong.
WHAT: Sun visits Weiss at work while they're both depressed about half of Weiss's team going home. They're going to have some friendship.
WHEN: Sometime in the afternoon on Sunday
WHERE: Geraldi's Pizzeria
WARNINGS: Weiss being Weiss, Sun's abs being incapable of being covered for more than 20 minutes without the shirt literally catching on fire. Those are both things that need warnings right?

[ Honestly? Weiss had not been having a good day. Or week. But she wasn't about to admit that she was depressed just because two of her best friends and teammates ~~who tended not to admit they were actually friends but she knew better~~ had disappeared. They weren't here anymore, that was for sure, and honestly? Even with Yang still in the apartment it felt.. empty. Lonely, even. And yes, certain things had been going pretty well, like getting to go on a date and that party she threw a bit ago had pretty fair success, but it didn't really make Ruby and Blake being gone better.

Neither did not getting anywhere near as many tips as usual because she was being kind of a snippy waitress because of her mood. Sure, she was still doing everything perfectly, but as usual it was her attitude that was getting in the way.

Weiss took a deep breath and let her coworkers know that she was taking her break, then headed outside to just outside the side of the building for a moment. She knew how to fake this no matter what mood she was in, she just hadn't had to in so long that it was a little harder than it used to be. Since she was off on the side of the building, she figured no one was looking and started pacing back and forth while she tried to force herself to smile. Which one said "excellent customer service" and not "Ruby and Blake are gone and that was roughly 50% of the people who considered me a friend" best..? Definitely not the first two. ]

[Weiss wasn’t the only one having a rough go of it. Ruby and Blake really were gone right now, there was no doubt about it. There was no telling if or when they might be back. Maybe it was better for them to not be here and be back in their world, but that wouldn’t change the fact that he missed them. At least he did still have some friends here, though. And some were better than none. Knowing where Weiss worked, Sun was on his way there to see her. Like the normal person that he was, his travel consisted of leaping over roof tops.

Granted, if he had been coming to the restaurant the normal way, he might not have seen Weiss down on the side of the building pacing back and forth. He gave her a curious look before leaping down all of the sudden to land behind her.]

Weiss? Are you okay? [With the way she was walking back and forth like that, she gave off a vibe of being worried or bothered by something. It probably should have been obvious what could have been bothering her. But when he saw her before, she didn’t seem like she was in a foul mood. Well, not a foul mood by her standards.]

[ The second he hit the ground, Weiss stumbled forward, turning around and backing up a few steps with a shocked look on her face. ]

Sun!

[ Wait. Wait! Weiss narrows her eyes and stomps forward to close the distance she'd put between them again, eyes narrowed. There was so many things wrong with this scenario to her and right now, the fact that he was visiting her at work wasn't even one of them. She wasn't even sure she cared about that right now. ]

Where did you come from? Do you usually sneak up behind women in the back of buildings?

[ The accusatory tone was much easier than just saying 'no.' ]

[Not the sort of reaction that he expected when her to give him when he showed up and showed concern for her.] Whoa. Calm down, Weiss. I came from the roof.

[He says, point up at it.]

I was coming to get a bite to eat and maybe talk to you a bit, but I saw you back here. You looked like something was bothering you so I came down to see if that was the case. [Sun can assure her, he’s not some kind of weirdo that sneaks up on women in the back of buildings like that.]

[ That's what happens when you surprise Weiss, Sun. It doesn't happen too horribly often, but sometimes. ]

That doesn't make sneaking up on me any more normal.

[ But.. he was just concerned for her. That's something she appreciates, even if she wasn't intending on letting him in about how she felt so easily. ]

Of course there's something bothering me, but there's nothing anyone can do about it. [ Ruby and Blake are gone. They can't change that. ] Half of my team is gone and I have to pretend like nothing's wrong or I'll lose my job.

[ Not that the money was the major source of the problem here, but not having money to pay the doubled rent from not being able to split it anywhere near as much anymore as bad too. Working in a place that she didn't even like and had to fake being friendly all the time didn't help. ]

So I'm on break.

I wasn’t really sneaking. I just dropped down and you didn’t notice me until the last moment. Have to mind your surroundings, Weiss.

[So it was something that was really bothering her. Weiss wasn’t at all easy to read. For all he knew, she just could have been dealing with obnoxious customers all day long and just wanted to get away with them.]

I know how you feel. I mean, they weren’t on my team but they were still my friends…I miss them already. [But at least he still had some people from his world here. He’d be devastated if he woke up and all of them were gone.]

When were you planning on heading back in?

You're the only one who comes down from the sky while I'm working at a pizzeria, Sun. I think I'll be okay.

[ Plus, overall, the streets here are less dangerous than ones with the White Fang lurking around. At least for Weiss. And she was in a mood which, despite that she had told Sun on another occasion wouldn't affect her, sort of tends to.

Her expression seems to soften a little when Sun admits to missing them. She's not exactly used to opening up. Ever. But it's making it easier. ]

Me too. I don't really have a lot of friends, and those two were.. half of them, if you don't count the one I'm dating. [ Sun and Yang being the other half. Everyone else she just wasn't as close to, even if she talked to more people than just them. ]

A couple of minutes. If you want to go inside, we can. I just needed a breath. [ She puts on a smile. It looks pretty out of place, considering she doesn't feel like smiling and she's known for being a bit of a grump, but it's work. She has to be professional. ] Do I look ready to go back in?

[You can never be too prepared. But he’ll announce himself better next time. Just so he doesn’t give her a heartattack.]

You aren’t the easiest person to get to know. [He thought for sure that she was going to dislike him for a while but..well. They were pretty good friends now, right? It felt like they were good friends, even if her Weissyness still came out from time to time. It makes him happy that she admits to missing them too. He felt like he could make a joke about her actually having feelings, but he holds off on that.]

It looks a little forced but..if they don’t look at you for too long, they might not notice. [Don’t think Sun missed that tidbit about her dating someone. He was definitely going to bring that back up once they were both inside and he was settled into his seat.]

Take a few more breaths and try to relax a little more.

I'm aware of that.

[ She's getting better at it. She thinks anyway. She's trying and that should count for major points toward her difficult nature. Weiss looked a little upset for a flash that he said it was forced. Definitely not the right one. She hasn't had to do this in so long; it's a lot harder to fake them when you haven't had to in a while. ]

You'd better sit in my section so I don't have to smile the whole time then if you want to help.

[ With that, she moved to side-step him and start heading toward the restaurant. She definitely wasn't going to try out different smiles in front of Sun, even if they were better friends than they once were. ]

[He can’t recall really getting smiles from her, so not getting any while she worked really wasn’t going to be any different from that. He turned and started to follow her inside. Once inside, he moved over too take a seat in her section, and he waited for her to come over to him and take his order.]

[ It was just how she worked really. She smiled naturally more often than she used to, but she hates forcing it. Honestly, customer service was probably her worst enemy when it came to that.

Weiss went to the back to get her apron again and wrapped it around her waist before bringing out some pizza to another table, then finally getting over to Sun with her little order pad, a glass of water, and a little basket of breadsticks. ]

Those aren't endless so don't inhale them. Do you know what you want yet?

[Sun picked up one of the bread sticks and took a bite out of it. Nomnomnom.] Hmm.

[He thought for a few moments on what exactly he wanted. There had been something he was meaning to try, so he would go with that.]

Let me get two slices of the pineapple pizza. That sounds like it could be good.

And also, more information on the fact that you are dating someone. Like who it is, when you started dating, are they a good kisser. Things like that.

[ She's halfway through scribbling down 'Pineapple' when he starts about the dating and she ends up sliding into the chair across from him with her eyes narrowed. ]

Zuko, I've only been on one date on August 15th, and I spent most of it with my mouth in pain from spicy food so I don't know how good of a kisser he is.

You've mentioned that guy to me before. The one with the sister that wants to be a Guardian, right? [When she mentioned him, he couldn't pick up on that she was interested in him.]

So you and him have been dating for like, three weeks and you haven't kissed him yet? Pretty long time to wait to make your move.

That's him. And I've been busy-

[ A brief pauses as Weiss leans forward to whisper to him over the table. ] Plus, we need to talk to his sister first since she's probably going to try to kill me if we don't talk it out since his ex is her best friend back home and she probably thinks I'm some gold-digger anyway since she has no idea what Schnee Company is. I'm used to boys trying to get with me for my money, so it's an understandable assumption which is why I want to clear that up before anything gets.. well, serious. So far it's just one official date and meeting each other a couple of times, it's not a huge deal yet.

[ Are you sorry you asked yet, Sun? ]

[He leans forward a little when she does. Well..that situation seems pretty complicated from what he could tell. Especially since it could end up with someone trying to kill Weiss.]

Uh..that's a pretty rash thing for someone to do just because they assume someone might be a gold-digger. And because their brother used to date their best friend. So you guys have just been sneaking around in secret or something?

I don't know that she knows that he broke up with his ex yet because they're both from different times in their world. Also, he's a prince, so would probably be a lot of security problems too.

[ And she's not even going to bring up the rest of the problems with that situation since there's uh.. a lot. Of issues. A lot. ]

Not really in secret. Just not completely openly.

Well..that is a pretty messy situation you have there, Weiss. [Couldn't have just gotten a normal guy that didn't have so much tied to him?]

So. When do I get to meet Zuko? I want to see in person what the guy that won you over is like.

You can meet him whenever you want. He works at the tea shop. Or do you mean like an official meeting?

[ That sounds weird. Also Weiss is probably going to get yelled at soon if she doesn't get back to work, but she's more interested in talking to Sun right now, honestly.. ]

Hm. I could stop by the tea shop he works at and meet him. See what he is like when he doesn't know he is meeting one of your friends. Unless you've already told him about me?

I've told him of you but I don't know that he'd recognize you on sight. Anyway, don't be weird about this.

What do you mean don't be weird about this? All I'm going to do is meet you boyfriendish guy. [Boyfriendish because he didn't know if she was using that term or not.]

Well, you are talking about trying to go undercover to find out if he acts differently toward me.

I'm not going undercover. I'm just not going to say "Hey! I'm Weiss' friend!". It'll be fine. Trust me.

Alright. I'd better not hear anything strange.

[ Weiss is going to slide out of the chair now and finish writing down "pineapple" finally. ]

I'm going to go put your order in before I get fired.

You won't. Faunus honor. [He doesn't want to mess things up for her with her guy.]
