(Seventh Flight - Action & Video)

(Leaving the Dream Docks...)

(The call of the Dream Docks was too intense for her to ignore. Daenerys finally gave into it - as everyone eventually does when they are summoned - and for three days she has lived - or dreamed - what awaits her. While she does succeed in her greatest goal, the sacrifice is far too much to bear. She awakens from her slumber with a sharp gasp, clutching her chest and struggling to her feet. The technicians must help her to the door and she drags in the fresh air as if she can't get enough of it. Should anyone walk by her or see her at a distance, they will find the Targaryen Queen - so proud, so noble - on her hands and knees, tears falling silently down her cheeks.)

(Video)

(This is hard for her to do and her voice is a hoarse rasp when she speaks the words.)

If a man named Jon Snow finds his way here, I want to see him immediately.

(To kill him; to condemn him; to scream at him - she doesn't know. Her love is still there, but she is in agony. He had been the last straw to bring her shell crumbling down.)

Avoid the Dream Docks if you can.

(She can't give up; it isn't in her nature to even contemplate suicide. But she is miserable and uncertain where she will go next - or what she will do next. A Queen should have a plan and she is...lost.)

I want you to sleep beside me. I'm not asking you to stay awake.

(He must be frightened for her and she presses her cheek against his neck.)

[ That is something he doesn't want for her, to feel misery and uncertainty after learning about her death. She will have her titles, however, she isn't a ruler nor a conqueror anymore. ]

... Is that an order as Queen?

[ His voice is steady, but it doesn't stop having a gentle tone, even when he has the sensation of her cheek against his skin and the thin strands of hair it makes him feel shivers down his spine. ]

It's a request as your friend. (She answers tiredly, lulled into a calmer state by his warmth and the sound of his voice.) You don't have to do any of it.

[ Her statement brings a tiny smile to his face. ] ...I want to. [ At last, they are before the stairs of her home, freeing her of his hold. ] We have arrived.

(She slips free of him and stands on her feet, steadying herself with a hand on his shoulder.)

I hope you don't mind the hatchlings joining us.

(Once she climbs the stairs, she opens the door - only to be greeted by happy baby Dragons.)

I'm sorry I left you.

[ Souji is careful as not to let her fall. If she wants to hold onto him still she is welcomed to do so. There's a chuckle. ]

Of course I don't.

[ Following her, when she opens the door, Souji's expression becomes lively at seeing the little dragons approaching them with excitement. They almost reach his knees. ]

Hāedar-chan! Valonqar-chan! You're so big now!

(The Dragons do a little double-take when they see Souji, lifting themselves onto their back legs and chirping at him. Can't he see how big they are? They are mighty babies now!

Daenerys bends down and kisses them, giving them soft hugs.)

You have been eating all of your food. I'm so proud of you.

(Tails thump happily and Valonqar scurries off to find his favorite toy, squeaking it.)

[ Sure they are! And very sure he does! Both of them would knock him down if they had the intention. As with human children, he slightly bends and leans on his knees with both hands. ]

How adorable you are!~ ♡

(The siblings crowd close to him, Valonqar squeaking his toy and Hāedar gently pawing at his hand. Daenerys removes her cloak and slips off her shoes, wincing.)

They really like you.

[ He crouches down and takes the toy gently from Valonqar's snout into his hand as the other pets Hāedar. Right away, he throws the toy far away for Valonqar to catch. ]

You think so?

(Valonqar scampers after his toy, chirping and pouncing on it fiercely. Hāedar purrs and closes her eyes, giving a huge yawn a moment later. Petting makes her sleepy.)

They would avoid you or try to attack you otherwise.

(Daenerys bites her lip.)

Would you mind if I took a bath?

They attack me with how adorable they are! Come Valonqar-chan! Your sister wants to sleep.

[ He motions at the male hatchling to come to him, standing on his feet while taking Hāedar into his arm. ] Now, now, you're a sleepy one~

[ His voice is really playful and soothing for them. At her question, he suddenly turns to Daenerys with a worried look. ]

Do you want me to take you upstairs?

(Valonqar puts up a tiny fuss, revealing that he is sleepy too. Hāedar tucks herself against Souji, frowning at her brother. However the sound of his voice soothes her and she purrs.)

No, you don't need to do that. (Daenerys smiles at the sight he makes.) If you want to tuck them in, the bedroom is upstairs and to the left. Valonqar will behave once he feels the pillows.

Alright. [ A nervous nod as he takes Valonqar with his other arm. To somehow intrude into a lady's room, even with her permission, is a foreign situation. One that makes him blush a little.

He waits for her to go ahead first. ]

(She loosens her hair as she walks up the stairs, her hands shaking faintly. On the second floor, she opens the door to her bedroom and it's clear Daenerys is a neat person. Her bed is clean and made except for a few dragon toys. The siblings calm at the sight, chirping up at Souji curiously. Will he join them?)

Be good, you two. (Daenerys moves off to the bathing room, trying to wash the memory of ashes from her skin and memories.)

[ But of course he will! Watching Dany prepare for a bath, he places the hatchlings onto the bed while removing his haori and his hakama and putting them folded on the chair. Out of respect, he had left his zōri at the entrance downstairs. Her room is very cozy and nice, he still felt out of place while being there.

As the little ones settle among the pillows, Souji stands and stares at the bathroom door before getting into bed. ]

(The hatchlings spread themselves out, snuggling their toys. Daenerys meanwhile scrubs herself clean, washing her hair until her mind feels clearer. While the water in the tub drains, she brushes through the wet strands, adding some oil to ensure their softness and shine. Then she tugs on a dark purple robe, tying it tightly around her waist. She steps out of the room a moment later, walking into the bedroom with a small grin.)

They must have been worried.

[ Daenerys will find Souji already sleeping comfortably on her bed as Valonqar and Hāedar are doing the same on each side of him. Sure carrying her all the way from the main city to Fayren tired him completely, even if they weren't that far from each city.

His sleepy features resemble those of a child. ]

(She smiles at the sight and walks over to the bed, tucking the blankets around Souji's sleeping form. Then she dims the lights and joins the trio, laughing softly when Hāedar lays her head on her chest.)

[ Back home, he would have being on the alert every time he went to sleep in Nishi Honganji or when he was visiting Kohana at Hanaya.

Here is the first time he can sleep to his heart's content. In her home. ]

Dany...

[ A sigh, almost a whisper, that he doesn't even realize what he just said. ]

(The sound of her name has her glancing in his direction, her hand resting on Hāedar's back. Warmth rises to her cheeks and she chances a soft answer:)

Rest, Souji. You're safe.

[ He turns on his side, facing Daenerys, as Valonqar rests his head on Souji's. She will see a tiny smile on his lips despite being deeply asleep. ]

(She presses her lips together, hiding a laugh. He really is awfully charming for a bushi. Or for anyone. Daenerys shifts a little closer and shuts her eyes, snuggling the Dragon siblings between them.)
