[Citizens, residents, and visitors of Genessia may notice: 1) a white haired elf jumping from rooftop to rooftop with a lance strapped to his back or 2) the shadow of said person as they travel across rooftops. Anyone from Eorzea, or who's heard stories from Eorzeans of the Azure Dragoon may recognize him.

He may stop from time to time on lower rooftops, glowering out at his apparent new home. (He's not very happy about this predicament. He has stuff to do.)

And at some point, he'll land on the sidewalk, probably startling anyone nearby because he really came out of nowhere. Scoffing before he goes to look around to figure out more about this new place. He still probably looks angry and a bit confused... but, let's be real, the anger is normal with him.

He doesn't bite, promise. Just snarls.]

[Not being one to sit still for long (and having plans to rummage through things at Hangar Queen without the employees noticing), Gale was in Genessia City today minding his business as much as someone like him could but it was hard to ignore the sounds of people getting spooked by something above. He happens to glance up to see someone leaping from the rooftops, which instantly makes Gale's heart jump.

Was that-?

Frowning, Gale followed the shadow until he spotted the dragoon land in the streets. Yep, this whole thing reeks of Ishgard all right. Wonderful.]

Well, look who the spirits dragged in. I did not expect the Azure Dragoon to grace the streets.

[He isn't sure if he should be happy for the familiarity or not in this case.]

[Azure Dragoon? Well, someone knew his title, and wasn't too surprised by the Elezen roof hopping around. Turning to look at the Hyur, he raises an eyebrow and crosses his arms.]

My reputation proceeds me, I see.

[But how much, really. He didn't recognize this man, probably some adventurer who heard the tales. But... he knew of him, at least.]

I assure you, I'm the only one here who will have any inkling of who you are.

[He glanced over his shoulder, gesturing at passing civilians.]

As far as they're concerned, you're just another daredevil from a separate realm. Don't expect to see anyone else from Eorzea here.

[He can't help but feel some irritation that, of all people from Eorzea, this place had to drag another Ishgardian. Maybe he should just be thankful it's not a damned Ascian.]

[ Huh. Weird. Could be weirder though, Lioriley supposes as she watches the elven figure leaping across the rooftops. Curiosity gets the better of her as she unconsciously begins to follow him along his path, stopping just as his feet hit the ground. Lioriley blinks owlishly. His demeanor is... striking. ]

Are you some kind of ninja?

[He saw one land and while he was startled, to begin with, he was now just wondering why he was up there in the first place. He seemed rather calm for someone who was pretty much a perfectly normal human.]

[Well, he could at least stop worrying about if this was some weird Garlean venture to turn the tide of the war. And if Aymeric and the Warrior of Light weren't here... That was good.]

Well, they wouldn't be wrong. You seem to know me though. Who are you?

[Estinien turns when he hears the greeting, looking straight ahead, and then looking down. This Elezen was small. And glowing? Well, that was interesting. Was she a child, then?]

No. I'm a dragoon. [There's a difference, boy.]

[He's just going to turn and raise an eyebrow at this kid. Apparently, if he's not bothered, he was either used to this, or just didn't care.]

[ She gathered as much from his curt reply. Or assumed, at the very least, he was not quite in the mood to talk for whatever reason. She cocks her head to the side, curious. ]

Pardon my forwardness, but were you looking for something?

[Hmph. At least she seemed apologetic.]

I just arrived. Learning my way around as I normally do.

I suppose the rooftops do provide an ideal vantage point...

[ She looks up briefly, a finger against her chin in thought. Hm. ] There is quite a lot to see, and more than one city to explore. I believe there are maps that may assist in such an endeavor?

I prefer them over the streets. [Less people to bother him, easier to get around, etc.]

I know this is but one of the cities, yes. [He sighs. He hasn't figured out how to use the map yet. Technology like what they're given isn't his thing.]

Fair enough. [ She shrugs. Who is she to judge? ]

I see. Well, if you need any assistance, or company; I have plenty of time on my hands and have not had the chance to visit all of the cities yet myself. [ A beat. ] Though I do not believe I can jump across rooftops so easily.

[grumpgoon]

Hmmm. [She seemed nice and quiet enough. Unlike some people who couldn't keep their mouths shut back home.]

If you don't chatter too much, you're small enough I could probably carry you.

Truly? [ Unexpected. The lines across Lioriley's face seem to pulse with a sudden rush of excitement. ]

Luckily, I am not. [ Said cheerfully, her eyes wide and her lips curved upward in a smile. Today just got very interesting. ] Oh! I suppose I should introduce myself first. [ A bow, short and with a sweep of her hand across her chest. ] Lioriley. It is a pleasure.

[A shrug. Any Ishgardian would be confused by his generosity, considering he was known for being a grumpy loner at home.

He'd blame it on being new and confused later, if needed.]

Estinien. [Her name didn't seem like most Elezen at home... so his curiosity got the better of him for once.] Are you from Eorzea?

[ Her expression falters slightly. She feels bad that her answer may potentially disappoint him, depending on his reasons for asking. ]

Ah, I am afraid I am not. Is that where you hail from?

[grumpgoon]

[A non committal noise from him. His assumption at first had been right.]

You look like you could be a very small or young Elezen, that's why I asked.

I see. I apologize for any confusion in that case.

[ In truth she had also been curious - he looks about right for a Solari: slender, tall, fair haired. All he was missing were the sun-bright eyes. ]

I am now curious of your Elezen though, if I were so easily mistaken for a younger one. Perhaps that is a conversation for a time not devoted to rooftop ventures, hm? [ She's eager for comparisons between their people, suddenly. ]

[There was a brief flash of surprise in his expression, but he paused to let his thoughts gather. He remembered reading about people were capable of coming from different times, so was this a case of it?]

Gale Reinhardt. I'm an adventurer. One that is, shall we say, quite familiar with Ishgard.

[If he doesn't recognize any of that, then it might be best to keep his status as the Warrior of Light aside for now.]

There are better places to discuss than the middle of a street. I can show you around, or offer food or drink somewhere. Interested?

Are you one of the adventurers who came at the tail end of the war? [The Warrior of Light had some...friends... he'd dragged along. Estinien hadn't seen much of them, just heard of them, really.]

[He smirks at her next comment.]

[ She chuckles at that. ]

Funny how that works, is it not? I am far from being a child, however. Unless your children are centuries old.

["Tail end of the war"? Wait, is Estinien from a time that Gale hadn't lived through yet? He was briefly perplexed before shaking his head.]

I cannot say for sure for the moment, but we'll sort this out. But don't be surprised if our memories do not line up. I've read that this realm has a tendencies of bringing its hostages from separate stages in time.

[He gestured for Estinien to follow him to a nearby open air café. He had half a mind to drag Estinien to Hangar Queen for a laugh, but he'll not prod a sleeping dragoon. Not yet, anyway.]

I'll keep the first question simple. Are you before or after the doomed venture to parley a peace with Hraesvelgr?

[ Well. He definitely startles this girl and Rin is instantly taking a position that... kind of looks like martial arts mixed with a finger gun?? What?? Not that anyone appearing out of nowhere is new to her, not anymore, but that doesn't really make it any less surprising most of the time!]
