Nice to meet you in person. I figured since I had some experience with public events like this back home I'd be a good choice as a judge.

[Also public events mean that he can build up public trust. So if it comes down to it and they need him, they'll know he has their best interests at heart. He can't expect the bounty boards to get him the people's favor.] So what are we looking for really? These are usually just big popularity contests. Are we looking for talent? Heart? Or just the most marketable musician?
