[As the video starts, you can see the possessed Pokedex is frowning in front of the screen, who seems to be fidgeting for some reason.]

Has anyone seen Ash Ketchum lately? I haven't seen him a while and worst of all, his Greninja is nowhere to be seen as well!

I'm Roto-worried about him. Do you know where he is right now?

[In Ted's eyes, Rotom's the only real pokemon here. Alas, Ted's going through a rough patch, so he doesn't deliver the news gently. He looks through the directory, and notes the missing name.]

He's gone, Rotom. Certainly nowhere to be found here.

[Rotom's screen switches to a confused emoticon.]

What do you mean? Is he going to another city without me?

Is the word so hard? Vanished. Disappeared. You'll not find him in Genessia anymore.

[Ted's confident he said no such thing. Lord, people really do hear solely what they want to, don't they? He's tempted to just say "yes" and leave it at that, but his honesty compels otherwise.]

[Seems pretty believable to Ted. The evidence is irrefutable, and it's not like this Ash ever had much to do or say. The world always disposes with those so inconsequential.]

[He's a little glad that poor Rotom has somebody, however faint. And he faintly laughs to hear confusion at the divine farewell.]

Yes. Ash Ketchum is my user. I currently possessed a Pokedex to aid him by sharing Pokemon data as well as collecting data from any undiscovered Pokemon.

So you are a ghost possing something that I have no idea what that even is. Am I getting that right?

Actually, I'm a Ghost and Electric-type, but you're right. A Pokedex is a device that allows me to collect data from powerful creatures called Pokemon. I'm actually one of them.

So a ghost can be another type as well in your world. I must admit that is pretty interesting.

It is. There is also a Dragon-type that is also a Grass-type and a Fire-type that is also a Fighting-type.

In fact, you can even see many kinds of Pokemon with those types around here right now!

So Pokemon is the name you all call yourself?

Why yes. It's also short for "Pocket Monsters" because most trainers use special capsules called Poke Balls to capture and store Pokemon.

So what would you have been called before that was such a thing? or is that a name that was lost to history?

We just called them "Pokemon" because it makes it a bit easier to call them.

As for me, I am called a Pokemon species called a Rotom.
