I have an important question for everyone here;

What's your favorite fast food place in town? And, to be more specific, best place to get pizza? I'm from New York, so I have a lot of loyalty to the pizzas in my neighborhood, but let's hear what there is in this place.

You'd be helping out a sixteen year old girl whose metabolism is pretty high for now.

I have yet to have any bad food while in the bigger cities here, and I know something about pretty high metabolisms too. For pizza though...

It's not fast food, but The Garden Bistro in Attleton was very good, and not just for pizza. It's still a favorite, and worth the effort to bring home since I live in a different city. In general I'd recommend Attleton or Genessia for food. Not that where I live in Nova City isn't good--but if I want something that's 'better' than my usual groceries I head out.

I'm not picky on food though. I will warn you, if no one has--be careful in Everglade. There are restaurants and places there tailored for non-humans, so if you order in them--be careful. Edible Alternatives is the main place I'm aware of.

Name's Trunks Brief. I mostly took over the bulk of food buying and preparing as a way to help my own family when I came here--plus to try something new. It's easier to list people in the house who don't have a high metabolism and eat a tons, so if you want budgeting or basic cooking tips, I'll do what I can to help.

So who am *I* talking to?

[That brings a chuckle. Trunks has known a few people like that.]

Nice to meet you Gwen. If I can pry a bit, what's the issue? My mom only learned much later in life, and even then robots did most of the work for her, cooking wise. With the options in this place, maybe we can help you not starve at least without killing your budget.

I'm sorry for your loss. My dad died while I was a baby, not that he or mom were ever the domestic types. Mom is more at home in a work lab surrounded by machinery, than in a kitchen. But our world hit some very very hard times, and like with everyone else, she adapted and rose to the challenges.

I thought she was pretty amazing. She was here until a few months ago. It was honestly really nice to be able to spend time with her again.

Has anyone warned you about potential time and dimension mishaps and problems with this place? People you know or who know you, but you haven't met yet? Or who know a version of you, but there's slightly different?

I shouldn't really say "oh good" but well, I'm glad it won't take you too much by surprise then hopefully. I was used to it before being brought here, thanks to timeline and alternate-dimension and timeline shenanigans.

How are you settling in?

Understood. You're still in Genessia City proper, for now? Have you looked at the brochures, or had anything explained besides where to get good pizza?

I'm not familiar with "New York" as we don't have that place in my world. I've been here a little over a year..almost a year and half--wow.

[He hadn't actually realized that until now.]

I am far from an expert, believe me. But I was fortunate to have some good guidance when I first got here, besides family and friends already here, so I figure I should try and be good guidance for others, y'know?

Full name is Trunks Brief, I live in Nova City, run Capsule Corps there, and am a deputy Guardian for Nova as well. I used to work in Everglades, and am at least somewhat familiar with all of the cities except the newest one. Windgate creek I think?

Mostly consumer goods for those without a lot of space, but who want a lot of stuff. Feel free to stop by sometime. We're still small, compared to home where it's my family's business.

I'm used to it. My family doesn't really know how to 'relax' as it were. Ironically, the kind of busy I am here is actually a busy I enjoy. It's different, in most ways, than what I'm used to doing.

But as for Capsule Corps itself, it's fairly automated for the most part. So I mostly am working on some innovation and design, although I don't have the inventing genius my mother does. Other than that it's training all the time, and then whatever else comes up. Like I said, I made myself in charge of food preparation and budgeting in the house, so learning to cook has been a nice change.
