[Rapunzel had been out looking for Pokemon and at the same time patroling for any dangers which thankfully so far so good, nothing bad. However, there was something that she had been thinking about. So she had done a little bit of research and soon she was sitting in the Guardians office with her device sitting in front of her.]

Hello from the Guardians office. Remember if there is anything happening in Attleton, please let me know. But this isn't why I am doing this today.

[She gives a small cough, getting herself ready for what she was going to say when a vine peeks out from beneath the table, slowly reaching to grab something. This causes Rapunzel to frown briefly.]

Now Bulb, you can wait until I am finished. It will only take a minute.

[She moved under the table to pick her friend up who seemed happy enough to sit on her lap until then.]

Okay... Back to what I was saying. I was looking through what has been going on in Attleton the past couple years and I noticed that a previous Guardian did something that looked like fun. It was sort of like a competition thing and me wanting to try and bring cities together and also to get people to visit this beautiful city, I thought why not run another?

It would probably be held at the Arena we have here and I figured that maybe we could do it so people can represent the city they love best. I thought it would be fun~ Though since I don't know much about these types of things, I could use some help in finding events for it. I am also going to look back on what was done then too for ideas. So let me know of things you'd want to see.

That is correct. I'm the Guardian of Attleton. it's... the city you might not hear a lot about.

I did hear that it's supposedly the most 'normal' of the cities here, but then nothing about this place is all that normal.

I'm Quentin Beck. I got here a little over a week ago. Still... adjusting, you could say.

That is true when you come to look at it. Though what makes it stand out is the arena. It... sort of stands out in this place.

[She nodded slightly.]

I understand and I am sure you still have some time to adjust, but if you ever need help, I am always more than happy to help.

In what ways can you help?

I've been here a while, so I have some understanding of the world to an extent of what we know.

I can also help should you get hurt. I have a ability that lets me heal people.

So you have superpowers.

I guess I do. I don't know anything about why I have them though. But I try and use it to help if I can.

Sure, I'd be game for something like that. And assuming you're planning to hold the contest before the end of summer, some basic track and field things might be good for a start. Like foot races, long and high jumps, discuss or javelin throwing, that sort of thing.

I am planning to hold it around that time. But what are long and high jumps and this javelin thing? It sounds like a weapon or something.

Long and high jumps are pretty much exactly what they sound like. The person takes a running start, then jumps as high or as far forward as they can. The high jump they're usually trying to jump over a bar that's been placed at a certain height too.

And a javelin can be a weapon, since it's a lot like a spear, but it's not meant to hurt anyone in this case. Basically people throw it to see who can get it to go the farthest or hit a target with the greatest accuracy.

Got it. I will jot those down in my list. They sound like a lot of fun too.

Maybe something involving running too, might work. I think I am getting some ideas.

Yeah, running various distances is a pretty popular event at these sorts of games. Sometimes its pure speed at sprinting, sometimes it's more endurance in longer races, there's even relay races that involve teamwork.

I like the idea of teamwork. So relay requires more than one person, I take it? But how many?

Usually it's three or four people, but it really depends on the length of the race; you don't want to cut each section too short, after all.

A relay works by each person on the team running part of the length of the whole race. The current runner carries a baton- basically just a stick about the length of your average ruler- then passes it on to their teammate who runs the next part of the race. Then they pass it on to the next, and so on.

That sounds positively delightful! A competition, I mean. Though, if it's held in the Arena then must it be violent in nature?

The arena is usually used for that type of thing, but it is allowed to be used for other things too. It gives people a reason to come who might not like that type of thing.

Hmmm...! Maybe you could do things like... a test to see who can throw a frisbee the furthest! Or a running test? I'm sure there are non-violent things an arena can be used for, right? It sounds fun!

Someone suggested running, so that is high up on my list. But I also want things that people might find fun. Like dancing maybe.

Have you had a chance to look back on past competitions yet? I could go through and try to dig out some information.

I am going to check the one that was run a couple of years ago. I believe the Guardian at the time was someone I knew of, so I esepcially want to make sure it goes well.
