[ It's probably not unusual for newbies to pop up on the network to introduce themselves, so the young woman in the video, clutching her box of supplies, probably doesn't look too out of place. Newbie is definitely apt -- if you squint behind her while she's talking, it doesn't look like she's wandered too far away from the Bay yet. When she realizes that she is indeed broadcasting, she sort of fumbles for a moment, looking a bit... harrassed? But then finally, she just sighs and gives a slightly stilted smile. ]

Hello...? You'll have to excuse me, I'm not exactly sure how to start this off. I'm a new arrival and I've just heard what Schnee-san's hologram had to say, so I thought it might not be a bad idea to introduce myself.

My name is Yuuri Wakasa. Mostly, I'm hoping to find anyone else who knows me who might have arrived first. [ She pauses for a moment like she's trying to decide exactly who she should be asking for before deciding on: ] Yuki Takeya, Kurumi Ebisuzawa, Miki Naoki or Kei Shidou – if there's anyone here by any of those names, please let me know. Oh – I'd... hope it's not very likely, but if there's a young girl here going by Haruna Wakasa then please get in touch with me as soon as possible.

[ She's doing a pretty good job at pretending she's calm, given that she feels like she's halfway to a panic attack, but the way she's fidgeting with the pendant at her neck might give her away a bit. But that's perfectly normal for a newbie, right? Why wouldn't she be nervous? ]

I also know we're supposed to get ourselves work as soon as we can, so I thought I'd ask – what sort of work is available right now? It looks like I'll be living in Fayren for the time being so that's where I'll be looking first. I'm very good at gardening and cooking, but I'm happy to try anything that needs doing.

[ Despite her words, though, she's clearly relieved and there's none of the usual lightness to her tone. ]

I have been accused of that many a time, and some have even said my very name itself is an omen of bad luck. A wise decision, all in all.

Oh, mildly horrified but all in one piece so far as I can tell. Luscinia's with me, she seems no worse for wear either.

[ Her smile fades just a little. ]

[ She tilts the phone a bit and gestures vaguely behind her so he can get a better look. ]

I sort of stumbled out, took a minute to take it all in and then broadcasted this right away. I didn't have the time to get very far.

Stay where you are, I didn't go particularly far myself. I'll be right there.

Just don't warp over here. I'm already on edge as it is and I don't think my heart could take it.

That's right. I can't say I appreciate the trip.

[Which he did, swiftly walking over to her just a few minutes later.]

Yes, as far as I can tell. Nothing seems different, but... well.

[ She doesn't even need to finish that thought for it to be clear as day what she means. Just because it doesn't seem like anything's different really doesn't mean that's necessarily the case. ]

[Yeah, he's right there with her. He isn't ready to just trust this outright. It seems safe enough. Who knows if that's true or not.]

I'm just fine. Other than the sudden change in location, I haven't noticed anything off. So that's... good. I suppose.

[ Now that they're talking in person instead of over the network, it's clearer that Yuuri's definitely not as calm as she'd been making out. Her shoulders are in the tense line that always betrays her anxiety and she's fiddling with the pendant non-stop. She relaxes just a touch when she sees Ardyn though and manages to give him a smile. ]

So far, yes. I'm just a little... [ she pauses to search for a word and finds that there really isn't one. So instead she just shrugs weakly. ] Well. You know.

That's good. Just make sure to keep on your toes, okay? I don't... trust this, not really.

...Yeah.

It's the same for me. But I don't think we're in immediate trouble, at least. And if anything comes up, I should be able to dispatch it without a problem.
