[So, since no one discouraged spamming the network, Rose is posting, again. This time, she's indoors, at a shiny new apartment.]

Sooo, hey. I figure, I'm new here, some of you are new here, some of you are old hats, whatever. We should break the ice! And by that I mean I'm super bored. So. I'm having a party! Matisse, Genessia City, Room 102. Best way to break in a new apartment, right? Right. I've got snacks, soda, movies, and most importantly, we're gonna have a bunch of rounds of Truth or Dare and stuff like that. Everyone's invited as long as you have your magic pendant-y thingy. Don't think too hard about that part, please. See you soon! I hope? Seriously, everyone should show up, please.

[Rose has, true to her word, gotten a big party setup going in her apartment. Soda, snacks, etc of various types are around, she's got a bunch of extra chairs, the apartment is clean, there's some movies playing in the background for noise, and now she's just waiting for people to arrive.

If you arrive very early, you might hear her muttering to herself:]

Was this a mistake after all, are people really going to come, it's going to suck if I bought all this and no one shows, but it's probably fine, people here are friendly, but maybe....

Depending on the season they sprout, duchess grass leaves can cover a whole hue of colours, all the way from green to blue! It doesn't seem to have any effect on the plant itself, though.

You seem to know a bit about plants then. Impressive. I would have never have known that.

Eheh. It's important to know about the materials you're using, when you're an alchemist. Especially with plants – they can be really sensitive to changes in their environments and that can carry on through to their component parts.

Can they really? So just a slight change can change something that you are making completely.

Exactly! The easiest way to understand it is to think of baking. Say you had a recipe that said you had to add milk – if you ignored that and poured in something like orange juice or water, you'd have a totally different cake, wouldn't you?

I think you'd have a very bad cake fi you threw in orange juice.

Huh? Really? But it's so delicious!

[ She sounds genuinely aghast at this. ]

That just means you'll have to try it sometime and see for yourself!

I guess I would, but it also feels like it's a dare of some kind.

Oh, there's no need for a dare! If you'd like to try some, I can make it and bring you over a slice to try! It's one of my favourite things to cook when me and my friends are all travelling together.

So you make orange juice cake? Or just an orange cake? Which makes me wonder do you use a squeezed orange and then the zest or still like fresh orange juice out of a bottle?
