So what's the point of going to school here if time just stops still back home? That just means I'll have to do it all again when I get sent back, even if I don't remember it.

Wouldn't history and current events be more related to this world? Classic literature is not the same on most worlds.
Have you heard of sumo? A rikishi is a wrestler devoted to sumo.

I did at home. At least at the high school level.
My school's team attained 2nd place at the Nationals.

And he became the High School Yokozuna, through winning the individual tournament.
]
Here, I do a different type of wrestling, which places more of an emphasis on entertainment.

Which would probably surprise any of his teammates, due to his social ineptitude.

There's also a spiritual aspect of sumo.
Such as when salt is thrown to purify the dohyo.

Um. Well, often it's more like people dressing up in big suits and being funny.... So it's probably not very realistic.

That isn't accurate.
The suits would make it difficult to move.
Real rikishi are flexible.
