NEWSPAPER - BIWEEKLY EDITION

[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Even remote locations in the other cities will still get a paper if one of the residents ever wanted one. The Paperboy is just that dedicated.]
[And if you're one of the following people, and you happen to subscribe to the newspaper, the Paperboy may or may not have flung the newspaper through that person's window, at the person, and/or broke something in the area: Papyrus, Roland Crane.
The following people have their newspaper placed neatly on their doorsteps: NO ONE. NO ONE IS SAFE.]

Pokemon Frenzy: Is It Really Over?
As July came to a close, and Pokemon were successfully and mysteriously relocated to the newly-opened "Safari Zone" in Nova City, civilian reactions are mixed. Some expressed vast relief over their absence, while others are still lamenting over two weeks later. "Those Wingulls were the worst," complained a janitor of Genessia City who elected to remain anonymous so as not to draw the ire of PokeZealots. "Shitting on sidewalks, shitting on cars, shitting on just about anything except my bitchy ex. Learn to aim, shit birds!" There were also numerous complaints about the noise level, upset trash cans, and what was perceived to be 'pervert' Pokemon that would hover around The Hangar Queen and try to get a free peek at the dancers. Why they would want to, as Pokemon don't seem to harbor attraction for species outside of their own, is anyone's guess.
But on the other side of the spectrum, many miss the colorful personalities of these catchable critters. Children, no longer able to play with stray Pokemon, are now faced with the grim reality of returning to school at the end of the month. Public parks, once full, are now half-heartedly occupied by listless youths hugging plush Pikachus on the swing, trying to balance them on the see-saw, or letting them tumble uselessly down the slide. The result? It's no fun at all. But kids aren't the only ones negatively affected, as several adults have begun photoshopping themselves as Pokemon trainers, or even as Pokemon themselves, and they're not very good at it.

Nova City, at least, stands to benefit from the increased flux of tourism to the Safari Zone to satisfy that PokeItch that seems to have affected the populace at large, with several civilians in cities outside of Nova willing to pay pendant bearers large fees to ferry them through the gates so they can get their PokeFix.
Olympic Buzz
Excitement and anticipation are both as high as kites in Attleton, as a rumor has been confirmed that its current Guardian, Rapunzel, is hard at work organizing a series of athletic challenges called "The Olympics." Bakers and street food vendors have been busy renewing their licenses in order to sell treats at this event, while others are dutifully engaged in practicing for the events themselves.
"I'm especially excited about the lawnmower riding event," Mark Deere stated with an eager smile on his face. "I've been mowing my lawn for years, so I'm excited to show what I've got." This reporter didn't have the heart to tell him that there likely will not be a lawnmower riding event, but my dude, if you're reading this, don't get your hopes up!
As for what the events actually are, one can only speculate at this time, but tickets are already being illegally presold for this grand spectacle.

A list of bounties being offered throughout all five cities. Generally only one bounty is offered per-paper for each city, but sometimes multiple bounties are offered. Help the community and get criminals off the street at the same time. Don't see anything that interests you below? Feel free to make up your own until a replacement for the Beacon Bounty Board can be found!
Genessia City
Latex Lament - Someone dressed in a large rubber monster costume has been causing wanton property damage around town. This person breaks shop windows, kicks over plants and shrubs, dents automobiles, and even set a treehouse on fire. A level 3 payment is offered for anyone who can track down the person responsible.
Nova City
Drone Caper - There has been a recent spate of thefts happening across the city in various locations, all reports saying that high tech equipment and mechanical parts were discovered to be missing. Witnesses have revealed they saw flying drones in the area near these smashed windows - some claim that they saw the drones carrying the stolen items but they were too high to reach. An urgent level 4 payment is offered to capture the culprit responsible for these thefts. Authorities are concerned that something dangerous may be being built out of these parts.
A Cult's Warning - A wave of petty crime involving pick-pocketing has citizens concerned about a cult. They steal loose change or wallets and leave behind cryptic or sinister notes in the victim's pockets in return, threatening worse misdeeds to come. A level 3 payment is offered to someone who can discover who these people are and put a stop to their criminal activity before it escalates.
Pamphlet Threat - Somebody has been posting leaflets around the city, claiming that they will 'Destroy the System' and cryptically warn of greater threats to come. A level 2 payment is offered to apprehend the doomsayer.
Everglade
Voracious Vandals - The caretaker of the Monosteory has issued an official complaint that someone is deliberately stealing the bones of the dead and replacing them with chicken and steak bones. A level 2 payment is offered for the return of the real bones and the arrest of the culprit.
Fayren
Baleful Polymorph: Several knights, when their patrol routes got too close to the woods, have been reported missing, only to be found days later in an altered form. One squirrel was found scurrying under a burgonet. Another odd mushroom was seen with a buckler wrapped around its stalk. A 3 star-payment is being offered for any who can bring the culprit, probably an ugly old witch, to justice. Additional one-star payments are offered to any who can find/cure the victims.
Mer-Thief - The stock of water-breathing potions in every magic store has been either destroyed or stolen by a rogue merperson from Lake Bellaheim who definitely doesn't want any visitors who don't belong. Initially posted as a level 2 payment, this has been escalated to level 4 as the previous bounty hunter who pursued this person was killed and left to rot on the shore of the Sapphire Lake near the Elven settlement of Doeshire.
Attleton
Boardwalk Butcher - A serial killer has been lurking near the Boardwalk, sporadically targeting victims who traverse this area alone at night. No one is sure what links the victims together, but it's believed to be anyone proficient at roller blading or skateboarding who winds up as the next victim. A level 5 payment is offered to anyone who captures the killer, dead or alive.
Windgate Creek
Tumbleweed Menace - A merry prankster has been putting hornets to sleep and encapsulating them in the center of tumbleweeds before turning them loose. Wherever the tumbleweeds stop, the jarring motion wakens the hornets, where they viciously sting the closest living person or animal. A level 2 payment is offered for this bounty.

[ OOC: Want to submit anything to the newspaper? Reply to the Submissions For The Next Paper thread and include any information you want to be sure is in next Sunday's newspaper! This includes news, gossip, singles ads, business advertisements, job listings, bounties, and anything else you want in the newspaper.
FOR BOUNTIES: Reply to the Bounties Claim Thread with a claim using the form. If you aren't logging the bounty, it must include a one-paragraph summary of the details of the bounty. If you're including a log, you can go ahead and claim a bounty and provide a link either after it is completed or while it is going on to show that it is being done/has been done. You may also choose to claim a bounty and handwave it, but anyone who offers to create a log for a bounty will receive priority over those who handwave them. Please note that whoever goes after the bounty is in charge of writing the NPCs involved, but feel free to ask the mod for any tips if you like. First come first serve on claims.]

Re: Bounty Claim Thread
Who: Splinter/Hamato Yoshi
Unlogged Bounty Summary: Splinter is trying to be cautious and not seen as much as possible, but at the same time he can't ignore a serial killer. His sons were adept at skateboarding, and while he is much older and unpracticed--he's a ninja master. The payment is a bonus, but he'd try to help with this anyways.
Additional Information: I am more than willing/welcome to work with anyone else who wants? esp. if we do a log.
no subject
Who: Remilia Scarlet
Unlogged Bounty Summary: Remiila will of course want to put a damper on anything that might cause friction between Everglade's races. The culprit might find themselves tied to a lamp post for the police to find, along with a note, before she returns the bones.
Additional Information: Open to some help, but she is convinced she can handle it herself.
Re: Bounty Claim Thread
Who: Kimberly Hart, Rosetta Stone
Unlogged Bounty Summary: N/A
Additional Information: Log is going up sometime today!
