Can I get everyone's opinion?

I'm a healer. I like healing and helping people, so I want to get a job that allows me to do that.

But...

I can't decide between trying to apply for Genessia General Hospital or The Royal Physician...

Genessia General Hospital would be cool because I could learn new ways to heal, and I could probably help more people...But is the medicine they do too advanced for them to even consider me?

But then Royal Physician would be neat, and I am a royal [she giggles at her own joke] and it would be really fun working in the same place as my brother, but...That's kind of a problem too? I'd kind of like to stand on my own if I could. And I may not be able to do that there...

So which should I apply for do you guys think?

Besides, I'm more concerned if people know Genessia General Hospital's standards of medicine. If they only do medicine that relies on science and machines rather than magic and...normal healing, then I should go for the Royal Physician position. But if they accept healing from anywhere, then I can apply.

Pfft, like machines are hard to learn. Just make them into magic and you're good to go.

But I would if I could. I'm great at healing magic!

That's the spirit. Take ownership of your skills! Tell them, "You'll be missing out on my healing magic if you say no!" And then if they say no, cast Holy or whatever it is you healing-types do to hurt people until they say yes.

I don't want to hurt people though. [Not to mention she's still a troubador, she can't hurt anyone if she tried.] And I don't have to here.

I guess I can see if they allow magic healing in the Hospital...

I suppose you don't have to actually hurt them. Just threaten them a little bit.

I don't want to leave them in my shadow. I love my siblings and I want to be beside them! And I want to show them that I don't always need to be protected!

Bride?

I don't have a bride. Don't you mean husband anyway, since I'm a girl?

What is a "husband"?

Weddings happen between a bride and groom. A bride's a woman and a groom's a man. They then become a wife and a husband to each other. A wife is a woman and a husband's a man. So since I'm a girl I'd be the bride and eventually wife. So who I'd marry would be a husband.

That's how it works where I come from anyway. [Unless you're one of the two people in FE Fates that can marry someone of the same gender.] How does it work where you're from, if you don't know what a husband is?

You can marry men!? I've only heard of brides! They told me a bride is a girl you marry, nobody said anything to me about marrying husbands!

Actually why would you want to though, that sounds weird.

Well, I'd like to think that you marry out of love. But sometimes there are other reasons. Like continuing a lineage or to combine two families' wealth and power.

I don't like those reasons though. I prefer marrying for love.

And its closer to home, and it would probably require the type of healing I'm good at already...And really who cares what people think!

Well, if neither of those work out, maybe you could try a third option? Teach other people how to use healing magic? Might work out well.

I never really thought of that...It could be fun, I guess...

Still, if possible, I'd rather actually heal people myself.

People always walk away better than before. And you can help people with it. As much as I'd love to learn how to use tomes like my brother, I definitely prefer my staves!

Tomes and staves, huh? That's definitely cool... Serious magic vibes from that. But do you need those? You can't just, wave your hand and do the magic?

Is it possible to do magic without them? I thought the only way to do magic was by channeling through things like tomes and staves... Is it different here?

I have no idea. I'm... not very good at magic? I'm sort of self-taught, so I don't even know how it's supposed to work.

I learned from tutors, and Leo. All the healing I learned from tutors. [And pestering the healers in Castle Krakenburg until they agreed to help her learn.]

Ooooh, now I want to learn all different kinds of magic! If you don't need tomes and staves, maybe other people don't either!

Hey. You said you knew some magic, right? And that you wanted to learn healing magic. What if we taught each other?

In mine own searches for work, a magick healer is sought for the hospital. Your abilities would be just as useful, and I am sure they would full welcome you should you be well committed to the study of their other arts.

But there is naught wrong with the idea of working close to family either. T'is a position of high regard, I would suspect he would be proud of you to take up such responsibilities.

Perhaps you could take up the official duties of the Royal Physician, and seek out the Genessia Hospital as a means to study the more unfamiliar remedies.

I'm definitely committed to learning how to be better at healing! I want to be better at other things too, but I love healing the most.

Do you think he would be? I do want to make sure the people of Fayren has a way to get help too...And that position seems to be the only healing one there. And it's empty...but... [The thrill of working in another city around new things and people is tempting.]

I could do that! That could be lots of fun! And I could eventually change where I work to there once I know what I'm doing if I want to!

Why don't you make your own healing place? Genessia and Fayren have places already, right? But the other cities could use you too?

That sounds like it would be fun! Maybe in Everglade? I don't even know if they have a healing place, but I would think that they'd need one.

Oh wait...wouldn't starting my own place be expensive? I just got here, and only have a little bit of the starting money left. If I were to move to another city to heal, it would probably be after a little bit of saving up for it.
