[Whitney woke up slowly. Did she oversleep? Maybe she spent too much time training for the upcoming PokeAthlon that she signed up for yesterday? That always made her extra tired. Except...This wasn't her bed...She shot up and looked around, knocking the box into her lap. She wasn't at home at all! Or inside...She looked down at the box in her lap. What was that? A present? Opening it, she skimmed the contents, not really paying attention to the brochure. She immediately put on the pendant, and looked at the key and cash. She put everything back in the box, but the communication device, and put the box in her pocket. It looked like a weird pokegear to be honest. She got out of her pod, and checked that she had her pokemon with her. She sighed in relief when she felt her pokeballs. She listened to the hologram sort of. She probably couldn't tell you what was said if she asked. Her mind was racing though. Where was she? How did she get here? What would happen to her gym? She tuned back in to hear the end of what was said.]

Wait! Don't go! I didn't catch what you said!

[She could feel herself tear up. She let herself just start bawling loudly at the edge of the bay for awhile.]

[A pink haired girl with puffy eyes showed up on the screen.]

Sniff...I-I uhm don't know what to do...I think I'm l-lost? But can I be lost if I uhm don't know where I'm supposed to be? [She wiped at her eyes.] Can someone help me please?

New technology that he had to figure out and the lack of anyone he actually knows here, which was bothersome to ay the least. But it didn't stop him from going back to the place he had stepped out of just in case the others were just still asleep and instead came across someone crying. A woman to be precise...

[Whitney looked up to the stranger and sniffled.]

Y-yeah...I-I'm lost? And scared... This isn't fair! I h-have a gym to run and-and things to do, and I-I wanna go hoooome! Waaaah!

[It was a moment before she calmed down long enough to talk again.]

B-but...We're all stuck here right? You too?

[He used to think he was a pokemon, till he got beaned with a master ball to no effect. A dream died that day.]

[The reply on this screen is much less unexpected for anyone not Kukui. It was a fiery bipedal lion-man who looks like it was trying to cheer her up with a show of boisterous flexing that's borderline comical. It seems to be enjoying it himself until the camera is taken away.]

[Whitney was stunned by the display for a second. At least she didn't look like she was about to cry anymore. She rarely left Johto, but she was pretty sure Incineroar was a pokemon. Which was great!]

I uhm...I just woke up here, and uhm...By the time I noticed the hologram was there, it was uhm done talking...I think I heard this place was called Genessia? And uhm...that's... it really...

But yes, this world is Genessia. And unfortunately, there is no known way for us to leave. But, hear me out on this, Cousin... Think of it as like a new Region! While we can't just pack up and Roll-out outta here, everything this world has to offer is certainly worth a Tackle with all our Strength, yeah!

[A triple pun-a-whammy. Might need to Constrict his mouth to keep anymore from spilling out.]

A new region? That sounds like it uhm could be fun...I haven't had much of a chance to explore other regions since uh becoming gym leader so...

[Also...A new world means new trends to sniff out and follow!]

Alright! I've had a good cry, and now uhm I'm going to uhm make the most of this place...totally!

...I'm not really sure how to uh do that though... You wouldn't happen to know uhm any cool places to check out, would you?

A gym leader? Sweet, cousin! From where? What's your specialty?

As for cool places, it's really all comes down to what you're into. A Safari Zone has recently been set up, so you can go see all the cool Pokémon from across all regions, yeah! Or if you're feeling more adventurous, you can visit the cities that are way different from Alola, or Kanto or anywhere! Like Nova City or Fayren, yeah!
