[It doesn't matter where you live. It doesn't matter if you have a chimney, or an active security alert system. With a twinkle and a jingle, his sleigh soars through the air, landing on the most precarious of rooftops or sloped sheds...anywhere. Those reindeer are freaking magical. He appears in your home with a large sack slung over his shoulder, leaving a very special selection of presents.]

[For those who are awake, and if you left out milk and cookies (even if you didn't originally intend it to be for him), he'll even talk to you. Otherwise, the situation is the same.]

[There are three beautifully wrapped gifts, all the same size. The paper is red, green, or white. Each gift contains something of value, so choose without fear of being punished!]

[UNLESS. If you've been very bad (and if you want this option OOCly), there will be a fourth gift as well, and the color of wrapping paper options extends to red, green, white, and gold.]

[OOC: The item contained in each gift has been predetermined randomly for each character, so while a red present might contain a charm for one person, it could be a treasured item from home for another person. Even for people who want a fourth option for their villains, the gold present isn't necessarily the bad one. Of course, if you just want coal straight up, you can elect to get that without having to worry about choosing randomly.

This event runs from the 22nd through the 28th. In order to participate, your character must have been introduced to the community at some point. So Deadpool doesn't get a present. C_C_ Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays!]

[Yang's not so sure they should be leaving out perfectly good cookies and milk overnight. Blake probably did the baking, while Yang did the learning and decorating. She's definitely going to try out that parchment paper trick and see if that helps the cookies any. She's just getting ready to settle down next to her sister for the night when she hears a sound and sits up straight.]

Psst. Ruby. You hear that?

[Sudden unexpected noises in the middle of the night? Ruby wasn't over the ordeals of last week enough to be a little freaked out by that. She'll bolt upright and look between her sister and the door.]

Y-yeah. ...We should go check it out.

[Oh, there's something going on in the next room alright. There's the sound of boots marching around the living room, the humming of Christmas carols and...

is that a faint scent of gingerbread in the air?]

Right! ...Where's Beo, anyway?

[The dog is always hanging around Ruby. Shouldn't he be barking at the intruder? Some guard dog, he's fired! ...Okay, no, he's too cute to be fired. She sidles across the room to pick up a table leg, then sneaks toward the bedroom door. She peeks outside...and gasps.]

Ruby! Come see this!

[That's a very good question, one Ruby shouldn't have to think about. She'll frantically look around the room but doesn't see the dog anywhere. In a last ditch effort she'll look under the bed and breath a sigh of relief when she sees Beo curled up asleep down there.

Crisis averted, now onto the actual crisis. Wait... Why isn't Yang laying a smack down? She'll hop out of bed and creep toward the door to take a look outside.

She'll look at the man in their living room, then back to Yang.]

Do... Do you think that's really him!? Oh man, this is sooooo cool!

[Yes, of course it is! Who else would the jolly rotund man in their living room be? No, it is none other than St. Nick himself standing in front of the fireplace that had just appeared out of nowhere and putting the finishing touches on their new window. Work done, he steps back to take a look at it.]

There, that oughta do it. Now hopefully that rascal Johnny will behave himself this year.

[That comes with a merry chuckle indeed as he hefts his great old sack to start digging through it and then pauses, and looks up toward the bedroom door with a twinkle in his eye.]

Oh ho, I see you two there. Don't be shy now.

[That's all the confirmation Yang needs: he fixed the window, he's more than welcome in ~~the Yangcave~~ their apartment!]

Wooowwww you fixed the window! It's a Christmas miracle!

[She subtly takes a step to the side, as she expects Ruby's going to launch herself straight for the big jolly man.]

[Ruby doesn't actually launch herself at Santa right away, first she dives back into her room to grab an extra Christmas card she had tucked away and then she launches herself right at him!

Hope you like hugs Santa.]

I can't believe it's really you, I thought you didn't come unless we were asleep!? Will you sign my Christmas Card?

[Of course he likes hugs, he's Santa Claus! And Ruby gets an extra great big special Christmas hug!]

Oh ho ho ho ho! Well, usually, but sometimes I'll make a special exception, ho ho!

Of course I'll sign your card, let me see if I have a pen somewhere.

[But you're gonna have to let go first, Ruby.]

Really!? And you chose us!? You're the best!

[This is like a dream come true. She's getting hugged by Santa and getting his autograph.

Ruby will hold the hug for a little while longer, until she realizes that he can't sign the card or get to a pen with her latched onto him.]

Oh! Right, sorry!

[And she'll let go and hold up the card for him.]

[Yang just giggles. Seems like Ruby's back to her old self again. She can't ask for anything more than that.]

We really appreciate it.

[And she does. As Santa signs Ruby's card, she winks at him.]

[Well, he's just fine with Ruby hugging him for as long as she pleases!]

Oh ho, not at all! Now let's see... [he takes Ruby's card with one hand and goes searching through his pockets with the other, and pulling a few items free, listing them off as he goes] hmm, candy cane, no. Carrots for the reindeer, nope. [And then a weird, whirring electronic gizmo that gets a belly laugh from him] Ho ho! My old sleigh navigator, and I thought I'd lost that. Ah, here we go!

[Pen in hand at last, he signs away. As he does, he glances up at Yang and gives her a knowing wink. This might not be just a random Christmas surprise after all.]

Dear Ruby,

I know that this isn't where you expected to find yourself this Christmas, but I hope this reminds you that the unexpected can lead to something very special. I wish you the very merriest of Christmases, for this year and many more to come.

Here you go! [And he hands her back the card with a chuckle, and he'll even let her keep the pen which, naturally, is shaped like a Christmas tree.]

[Ruby is practically vibrating with excitement as Santa searches through his pockets to find his pen. Just how much can he hold in those things anyways!?

She'll take the card back and will even do a little twirl after she reads it. She got Santa Claus' autograph. She is the happiest girl around.]

Yang! Check this out, he signed my card!

[Because it's not like she didn't see it happen.]

Let me see.

[She smiles down at the card, slinging an arm around Ruby's shoulders, and once again, she's moved by Santa's kindness. What a nice guy! Why can't the Ice King take a few pages from this guy's book? Or a few chapters.]

Wow, lucky you! WAY better than any other celebrity's, am I right?

Do you want to stay a while? We can pour you a glass of milk that's actually cold.
