[Video] 'Tis the Season for the Flu...
[Another day, another training session in the Holodeck'd. Only today, Karla found herself ending it sooner than normal. She felt her muscles aching and burning, her chest congested. At least this time she was better able to recognize what was happening.]
I'm getting sick again, aren't I...?
[So she made her way home, questioning whether she would even make it. Thankfully she did, and she got into bed, taking a brief glance at her device. Just for any friends or strangers who might be curious, she broadcasts a brief message.]
Looks like I won't be able to train for a while...

Uh-oh... don't tell me you caught the bug that's been going around too?
[Karla's in the middle of a rather violent coughing fit when she hears a voice coming through her device. She picks it up to see who was calling.]
Hello, Lea...it would seem so.
...Were other people getting sick, too?
Re: [video]
And you sound like you've got it bad too. You have anybody to come help you out?
[Cause if there was anything that sucked more than being sick, it was being sick and not having anybody to help take care of you.]
Yes...I believe I was sick at about this time last year as well...but I don't think it felt this bad...
[She thinks about it for a moment.]
Not really. I do have my Pokemon, but I don't think they know how to do house chores...
Re: [video]
[He considers for just a moment. People were being advised to just hunker down if they were sick, but Karla was his friend. That trumps any other concerns in his mind.]
Alright then... I'm gonna come over and help you out. I'll even bring over some of the soup my mom used to make for me; it's good stuff, and easy to reheat for meals later. That OK with you?
[She looks surprised for a moment, but then manages a weak smile.]
I...all right...
Re: [video]
[And while he's at it, maybe he'll see if they have anything else she might need while she's recovering too. There's plenty of stuff in the penthouse's pantry, after all.]
All right...I'll wait for you...
[Although staying awake might prove to be a challenge. Against her better judgment, she does take her Mightyena out of its Pokeball. It sits by her bedside, looking worried, while she gently strokes its fur.]
[Lea end the feed there, and goes about making the promised soup, as well as gathering a few other items that he thinks might be needed or just nice to have for a sick person.
A little while later, there's a knock on Karla's door.]
Karla? It's Lea. I brought the soup and some other stuff. If the door's unlocked, you dn't need to get up; I'll just come in. Alright?
[Action]
[Crap, she'd forgotten to unlock the door. When the knock comes to the door, Mightyena instantly starts growling and barking. Karla pets its head again to calm it down.]
Shh...it's okay. It's just Lea...
[She struggles out of bed and drags herself to the door, her muscles protesting every step of the way. Just a little more... she thinks as she reaches for the doorknob and pulls the door open.]
Hey...
Re: [Action]
Sorry to make you get up like that. Just a second...
[He set the items he was carrying down once inside, then offered a shoulder for Karla to lean on, since he frankly wasn't sure she'd make it back to where she'd been unassisted.]
Let's get you settled again first, before we do anything else. You prefer the couch or the bed?
[Action]
Let's...head to the bed.
Re: [Action]
[Lea wrapped an arm around Karla's side to support her as they headed for her bed, allowing her to lean as much of her weight as she needed to on him. If necessary, he was perfectly willing to carry her, but would spare her dignity, if possible.
Thankfully it was, and they reached her bed largely without incident. Lea helped her settle back onto it as comfortably as he could.]
There; safe and sound. I'll go get the stuff I left by the door, then be right back OK?
[Action]
Thanks...
[She reaches out, resuming petting Mightyena. It's a decent distraction from her pain, weakness, and overall uncomfortable feeling.]
Re: [Action]
The rest of the soup he put in the refrigerator before taking the bowl into her room.]
This should help make up for having to come let me in.
[He set the soup on the bedside table.]
Think you can sit up by yourself, or would you like me to lend a hand? Hate to ask you to, but it'll be hard to eat anything lying down.

[Karla takes a deep breath, causing a dull ache in her chest.]
I have a friend coming over...
