[What a pain, to wake up in a strange place. With any luck, at least there wouldn't be any of those damn Joestars around.

Dio glanced over the pamphlet momentarily before tossing it away, pocketing the money and phone. Announcing his presence to all before he'd had a chance to explore and gather new servants wouldn't do him any good.]

I, Dio, will take this town and become its new god! But first to find a comfortable coffin to doze away the day... [EDIT: ofc. NOT broadcast. Soliloquys yo! (EDIT EDIT: but you can overhear if you just happen to be right there at the Bay at the right time)]

[And with that the vampire stalks off into the shadows. You might run across him searching the streets of Genessia city for anything or anyone of interest.]

[OOC EDIT: despite the post title, I am in fact taking Dio from (early-mid) Stardust Crusaders]

[Luke had been unfortunate enough to run into Dio. Literally. The man may have not even felt the boy bump him--Luke is approximately the size of Dio's left calf at best--though Luke is now squarely on his butt, hat askew and otherwise startled. The map he was reading is on the ground beside him.]

O-oh! I'm sorry sir! I didn't see--

[OH GOSH THIS GUY IS HUGE. He stops midsentance and stares.]

[Dio looms over the boy, turning to stare down at him with glowing red eyes, his face shrouded in shadow.]

Ooohh~? Have I met meager morsel to assuage my appetite?

[Literally what the heck was this guy going on about? People aren't food and he doesn't have anything with him. Honestly. And he'd apologized, too. What did he--

No. No way. Vampires aren't real. There had to be some sort of rational explanation for the statement. For Luke, however, all rational thought is gone because only vampires talk about eating people.]

W...what?

[Luke scoots away on his bum and then pops to his feet, eyes wide and terrified.]

[Dio advances on Luke, hissing a menacing "wryyyy" under his breath. In the moonlight glinting off Dio's grin, Luke might be able to make out a pretty obvious set of fangs. ~~Why do jojopires have fangs anyway if they feed through their fingers?~~]

[What is going on?

Luke spends approximately two seconds pondering this before he starts to bolt because forget that nonsense, honestly. This guy is scary as all get out and he has pointy teeth and is hissing like an angry cat and is definitely a vampire. Nope.

Noooope.

At least he's fast! ~~Faster than a jojo probably not but hey, he's trying.~~]

[Abdul flashback reenactment go!]

[Dio's hairs twist together, extending in length and revealing strange polyp-like... things with thin, pointy spikes on the ends. The strands of hair, almost like tentacles, shoot toward Luke! ~~Oh no! Don't get brainstabbed little guy D:~~]

[A THOUSAND SHADES OF NOPE. MAYBE EVEN A MILLION.

Luke does what any rational child in his situation would do: book it and scream.]

Auughhh!! HELP!!

WRYYYYYYY!! [Dio obviously wouldn't have any problem catching an ordinary little boy if he was really trying, but luckily for Luke his pursuit is rather half-hearted, only closing in slowly... hopefully someone can come rescue him in time or he can find some way to get the vampire off his trail!]

[Mikasa thought she was lucky to be close enough, because to hear Luke yelling out for help... That struck a nerve in her. This was the boy who'd been so kind to her and behaved so well. There was no way she could let him get hurt. Luckily she's been carrying her 3D Maneuvering Gear on her for a while just in case something did happen, so it doesn't take long with her zipping around to find them.

Stopping in front of them, she immediately unsheathed her blades. Pushing Luke behind her protectively. With a dangerous glint in her eyes...]

I suggest you leave this boy alone. I assure you these blades are meant to slay titans, but they can just as easily cut through humans.

[Hiding behind a lady is definitely not gentlemanly and he does not care. He grabs Mikasa's coat and shudders, one eye just able to peer out at Dio.]

M-Miss M-Mikasa...

[Dio looms menacingly over the pair, continuing to approach, undeterred by Mikasa's threats]

I, Dio, am not readily rent by razors! Indeed a human might be harried by such a hazardous harpy, however I, Dio, merely hunger! [~~for hemoglobin! Help I can't stop alliterating XD~~]

[The vicious vampire lunges at the pair. Those hairtentacle-brainpolyp-things are pointed right at Mikasa's forehead! Even Speedwagon is afraid!]

[Mikasa didn't mind him clinging. All that mattered was that he was safe. Ducking from his attack, she quickly grabbed Luke and used her gear to maneuver her way up on a rooftop. Setting him down]

I don't know what happened, but you need to get to safety.

I just b-bumped into him!

[She may have settled him down on the rooftop, but that does not mean he's keen on going anywhere: one hand firmly grips the fabric of her jacket. If Mikasa took a second look, she'd notice he was shaking ~~because Luke is terrified of all things supernatural~~]

Prey may perch past the purview of average arms and yet perish pitiably to porphyric puissance! [Dio slams a foot through the wall and begins walking up the side of the building toward the pair, heedless of the structural damage his climb causes.] Wryyyyy!

[She didn't particularly need to look to notice. She was far too busy keeping an eye out for the strange guy. Strange or not, he was obviously a danger.]

And why are you so determined to hurt Luke? He said he was sorry, didn't he?

[Protectively shielding him behind her.]

Man, this Dio guy is scary as all get out. And he's not sure what to do other than hide behind Mikasa because. Yeah. That's all he's got.]

C-can't you leave us alone? I w-won't bother you ever again!

[Dio pays no attention to Mikasa's words, nearing the rooftop with surprising speed.]

The quarry questions! What queer and quaint conduct! You've no more right to question me, Dio, than a monkey could make out the motivations of a man!

[As Dio explores the city he will undoubtedly come across a large black wolf with crimson eyes ostensibly doing the same. What do?]

[This mangy mutt would dare demand a detour from Dio's desired direction? Have a KIIIIICK!]

[And as soon as the kick connects, the wolf seems to explode into mist, only to reform behind Dio.]

You would do well to avoid such blatant acts of senseless violence, vampire. After all, what you think to be a dog might actually be... me.

Any vampire should be capable of sensing the aura of another of their kind. To claim that as a special talent only paints you as a fool.

[Yuuki walked happily with shopping in hand. She was kind of grateful that she didn't buy a lot this time and managed to keep a small amount to one bag. She soon stopped, turning her head slightly as she spotted someone out of the corner of her eye. They... seemed kind of big and rather creepy. One should know not to speak, but somehow she still managed to.]

Wryyyyy... [Dio stares down his nose at the girl with crimson-glowing eyes. She's probably no more than chest-high to him, if that.]

What daring damsel desires to address me, Dio?

[She really couldn't help but feel a tiny bit intimidated.]

Is Dio your name? [She couldn't help but wonder a tiny bit. Otherwise saying it at the end of a sentence would seem...well odd.]

But, uh... My name is Yuuki.

[ooc: yup, "I/me, Dio" is a way of conveying in English Dio's frequent use of "kono DIO" in place of "watashi" or "ore" pronouns]

[He was still creepy never the less. She should maybe keep walking and hope he doesn't try anything.]

Okay, Dio... Um... I guess welcome.

[Dio has decided to make a meal out of the mouthwatering maiden! When he speaks again, there's a hypnotic quality about his voice, and Yuuki will find it difficult to avert her gaze from maintaining eye contact.]

Stay. I, Dio, desire a delectable dinner. Come closer and feed my famishment.

[Yuuki had wanted to reach towards her thigh and take out her Anti-Vampire weapon but try as she might she found herself unable too and instead kept eye contact on him. She didn't understand by she found she just couldn't help it. Without thinking she took a step, her eyes still looking at the others and there wasn't much she could do about it now.]

[Dio slides his fingers smoothly through the flesh of Yuuki's neck, draining a snack of about a liter of blood from her before withdrawing his hand; her skin closes cleanly in the wake of the vampire's receding fingers.

Before letting her go, Dio inserts a flesh bud through her skull. Until someone discovers and manages to safely remove it, the polyp-like thing will alter her brain to make her loyal to Dio.]

The great gift I've given you must remain our special secret. Keep it hidden under hair.

When your redness is replenished, return rapidly to Dio's domain, won't you? If you spot a sanguine snack, bring them back too.

[She didn't speak, all she did was nod in understanding. She felt like she had to follow no matter what and she understood this.]

I can do that. Is that all?

Indeed, for now, farewell. Ensure your friends find naught but normalcy. I, Dio, do not desire discovery.

[She only over ears the end of his sentence and stops curiously.]

Sleep the day away?

[Her tone is its usual soft sweet melody. Terra's bright green eyes look over towards the unknown voice curiously.]

My oration was overheard by a dashing dame! [jojopose goes here] Might I, Dio, make your acquaintance, madame?

I'm Terra.

[She stops and stares curiously at the man.]

Are you alright?

[Terra is pretty sure your suppose to sleep at night.]

[Dio wonders if Terra might make a savory snack...]

Your acquaintance is appreciated, Miss Terra. I, Dio, am more than merely alright, although frankly famished. [He approaches closer to her.]

[Something feels off and Terra tenses at the mans approach.]

Famished?

[Her tone is soft and sweet but she has never been good at talking to people and her nervousness shows.]

I'm sorry. I don't understand.

[An otherworldly, almost irresistable hypnotic quality infuses Dio's voice, while at the same time it becomes unreasonably difficult to break eye contact...]

Come closer... I, Dio, would find so fine a feast favorable. [~~gdi even the actual gg fansubs didn't alliterate this much but I can't stop why is it so fun XD~~]

[Terra feels herself move forward, though the thought never entered her mind. It is a strange feeling but not all unfamiliar. She stops in few inches in front of him, her eyes still looking up into his. She doesn't say anything. She doesn't know what to say so instead she waits, unsure of what was going on.]

[Dio flashes a fanged grin and brings a hand up to the obedient girl's neck, sliding his fingers easily through skin and flesh in the manner peculiar to Jojo vampires to tap into an artery and drink his fill.]

[Dio has yet to recruit any servants in this new place, and so decides to leave Terra enough blood to survive. But before letting her go, he implants a flesh bud into her brain to alter her thoughts and feelings into those of a loyal servant of Dio.]

What a delectable damsel. You'll return to me in a week, won't you?

In the meantime, make sure no one notices that nub on your forehead. [its placement naturally obscured by hair should make that not too difficult.] And look out for any suitable servants to similarly sway to my side.

[Terra feels dizzy a moment as the blood moves through her body. What was happening doesn't make sense to her but she suddenly doesn't care. Her eyes stay locked with his as he continues to speak.

She gives him a slow nod.]

I'll return.

[Her hand reaches for her forehead, her fingers gently tracing the blemish. She doesn't know many people in the city but if he asks she will try.]
