Dates are complicated things [Closed]
Who: Falan and Zelos
Where: Their home
When: A few days after the date auction was wrapped up.
Warnings: Fluff?
Falan didn't know what exactly made her want to bid on the date auction. Sure she knew what it was meant for, but there was something that made her want to bid on Zelos. He made her feel embarrassed with his constant flirting and she felt shy around him, but he was a housemate and he was a sweet guy after getting to know him a little better. Besides, somebody had to bid on him, right? Or at least that's what she was telling herself.
They didn't particularly have much bills to actually go out and do something, but that was fine with Falan. It may have been easier this way anyways. With Duzell and Ishtar out of the house (shooed out by Falan), she had already gone grocery shopping to get food to make dinner. Falan wasn't the best cook around, but she was slowly improving. It wasn't anything amazing, but she'd finally finished dinner. Realizing what time it was, she started to worry a little. She'd gotten dinner done, but she hadn't gotten herself ready yet. Perhaps living in the same household was a bad time at times like this then?
Taking her apron off and setting it off to the side, she hurried off to her room to get changed. What did you even wear for a date? She hadn't exactly been on a date before, but she did know that she was extremely nervous. Flipping through her outfits (which mostly consisted of long dresses because old habits die hard), she finally settled on a more modern dress -- that Ishtar insisted was perfect for her -- and a pair of white pumps. Once she was done, she hoped that this would be okay. She didn't know if it was suitable enough for a date or even what to wear, but there wasn't more to do. Leaving her room finally, she hoped that everything would turn out okay.

He had felt a little awkward around his housemates since who-knows-what lead him to being turned into a vulnerable child, but for the most part, that seemed to have been forgotten, much to his relief. It was also a relief that none of them had worked out what he really was - in status, in race, and in the bitter hall of self-loathing he was beneath the playful smiles.
All thing's considered, Falan voting for him in the date auction had definitely been something of a surprise. She was definitely a sweet girl, who always seemed flustered by his friendly advances, but she seemed genuinely kind. To say that he wasn't sure what to expect from this date was something of an understatement, but he'd made sure to get a large bunch of brightly coloured tulips for her.
He'd dressed up for many noble parties back home, but here he had happily picked something a little more casual to what he was used to, a pink suit jacket covering a white shirt and black trousers, and no obnoxious bow-tie. He was so glad to be rid of all the frills, but...nevertheless, Zelos had still done his hair in an elegant braid down his back.
Zelos was hanging around outside his room, leaning on the door, when Falan emerged. "Hey, beautiful~" he called, heading over and smoothly slipping his arm around her waist as he presented the flowers. "Wow, you look gorgeous in that dress."

Oh gosh. Falan was always a pretty nervous/worried girl. She worried enough to worry for everyone in the household. Now she just felt butterflies. She didn't exactly expect the tulips, but they were beautiful. Cheeks flushing a light red as she took the flowers, taking note of his arm.
"T-Thank you... You really pull off that color," she said smiling to him shyly. Not many guys could pull of that pink, but he pulled it off just well.

"Thanks, I'm glad you like it," he said, giving her a bright smile. She was blushing already? No harm in a little teasing, then; "No need to be so nervous, I don't bite."

"N-No I'm okay! Uhm.. Were you hungry?" she asked, changing the subject.

Zelos grinned at the question. "I sure am. Does this mean you've got a surprise planned for me, beautiful?"
Truth be told, he had probably smelt the cooking from his room, and he was certainly looking forward to it. There was something so much nicer about homemade cooking than the fancy parties he was used to. Not that he'd told any of them that he was a noble back home - if asked, he always just claimed that he was a 'swordsman', nothing more.

"Well I... I didn't know how many bills you had or even if I had much, so I figured I could just cook something here. I mean, if that's okay enough with you," she said. Without really waiting for an answer, she reached for his hand and tugged him along lightly towards the kitchen.

He chuckled playfully as she led him to the kitchen. "You cooked something specially for me? I'm touched~"

Not that Zelos really minded what she cooked, he was looking forward to trying it regardless.

"I hope that's okay," she said and then realizing, "Oh! Did you want something to drink?"
no subject
"Smells good, beautiful~ Looks pretty tasty too," he replied, smiling. "Sure. Anything's cool with me."
no subject
"Well, go ahead and eat," she said, giving him a bright smile. Getting up to grab a few glasses she just got some water for the time being. IF he wanted anything else, she was happy to get it for him. Setting it down near him, she took a seat again.

"Hey...this is pretty good," he said, before offering her a small smile and adding: "Thanks." For once, his tone sounded a little more genuine than his usual flirtatious remarks.
no subject
"I-It's no problem," she said, clearly happy that he was. And then after a few more minutes, "I-if you'd like... I could... cook for you more often."
no subject
"You serious?" he asked, "You're too nice, Falan-hunny~"
