[It's become apparent that Mikasa and Eren would have to eventually go clothing shopping and find other stuff that they needed for their apartment. They could hardly keep wearing the same thing all the time (even if they wash their clothing) and wearing the uniform all the time felt... weird to Mikasa; despite the fact that she'd gotten used to it back home for obvious reasons.

So making the time to go and get some new clothing/other stuff, she found herself walking around Nova City with Eren. At least he'd managed to convince Mikasa that there was no need for her 3D Maneuvering Gear. She nearly brought it along just in case, but it would be a little complicated to try on clothing if she still had it on her.]

[The culture shock had taken a bit of time to wear off. The clothes issue quickly became apparent even from the odd looks MIkasa would get whenever she was out in her full gear. It was rather bulky after all.

But he never thought he'd see the day when he was the one saying they could go out without their 3d Maneuver Gear.]

That mall place shouldn't be far from here.

[Of course Mikasa noticed all of those said weird looks, but she didn't care. It was far better to be prepared for anything than not to be. Even now she was wearing her uniform, but lack of proper clothing would do that for you.]

There's so many new things here... I guess this is as good as it gets as far as exploring outside of the walls.

[A couple of people had even asked if she was doing some sort of Cosplay. whatever that was.]

I guess. Though I'm not sure if it counts since this isn't in our world.

[Needless to say he hadn't given up on his goal to see their world and not this parallel realm.]

No, but it's still new. Apparently there are things called video games... I'm still a little confused about those yet...

[The two of them were probably weirder in the eyes of the locals. If only they knew how right they were at least when it came to Eren.]

Video games? What are those?

A guy named David showed me them. And he told me about cars. They're... sort of like...

Well, they're games essentially. The arcade place he brought me to was filled with giant machines that had them everywhere. Apparently, there's a lot of different kinds.

[Teleporting there wasn't exactly fun for her either.]

[Eren listened though he couldn't quite paint that information into pictures in his mind so he decided to not bother with it for the moment. Maybe if she were to show him? There was likely a small arcade at the mall too so she would get an opportunity after the shopping.]

Sounds...interesting. Did you see anything you liked there?

Well... It wasn't bad but... it was a little weird. I'll have to show you it later.

[Looking around her.]

Oh, this is it. Wow, this is big.

Luke wants to meet Eren!

[Luke was spending some time poking around town as per usual when he spots Mikasa in the crowd.]

Miss Mikasa! Hi!

Oh, Luke. How are you?

I'm doing okay. Just doing some shopping.

[lookprofessor]

[He nods, and then his gaze falls on the stranger with her.]

Is this your friend from home, Miss Mikasa?

[LUKE WANTS TO BE FRIENDS WITH ALL THE PEOPLE.]

Ah, yes. This is Eren. Eren, this is Luke.

[Introducing the two of them.]

[Making new friends is something they both need to get used to again. The survey corp was a very tight nit group and they rarely got new people because of how high risk of a venture it was. That being said Eren flashes a friendly smile before offering his hand towards Luke.]

So you're Luke huh? Mikasa's talked about you. It's nice to meet you.

[lookprofessor]

[Luke peers up and then takes Eren's hand, shaking it. When he had his hand back, however, he tipped his hat. The manners that the Professor had taught him died hard, and he was far more accustomed to that than shaking hands.]

Hi, Mr. Eren. It's nice to meet you, as well. Miss Mikasa's said nice things about you.

[Part of the reasons why Mikasa liked Luke was for how polite and respectful he was.]

So what brings you here, Luke?

Did she now?

[He regards Mikasa briefly. He had to wonder what those nice things were because he couldn't think of anything particularly flattering about himself.]

You know you can just call me Eren. No need to tack on the mister.

/slowly climbs out from beneath piles of old tags. I LIIIIIIVEEE sorry this is so late ;-;

[It isn't his place to say, so you'll have to settle for assuming Luke's being sincere. He is, after all.]

I'm just looking at the shops. I need a light bulb for the kitchen.

Um...I'll try to remember that, M--Eren. I'm used to it from home, really. Professor Layton says you always should address people older than you with respect.

[And she's sheepishly looking away as he turns to look to her. Leave it to Mikasa to find nice things to say about you, Eren.]

That's a nice sentiment. If only more people thought like that.
