[Chun-Li's face appears on the screen. Her brow is furrowed, but she looks more perplexed than angry or upset.]
Judging by some of the messages already queued up on my videophone, I think it's safe to assume I'm not the first to wake up here in a big silver pod. So I'll dispense with the usual questions...the brochure covered most of it anyway.
[She waves said brochure absently.]
What I'd really like to know is why I'm here, and what the state of affairs happens to be.
[A weary smile turns up the corner of her mouth.]
It would be nice to know if I'm going to have to deal with power-mad dictators if I step out for coffee. I'm Chun-Li, by the way.

As for me, I prefer my tower.

I remember seeing that there were a couple of cities in tact. And each of them has a guardian?
Most will, at any rate. There's currently an election going to pick the guardians. A couple of cities have someone running uncontested, while another pair have two candidates.
[Chun-Li knuckles her chin. Part of her is tempted to volunteer for such a position herself, given her background. But she just got here. She wouldn't even know what she was getting herself into, and if the candidate is decided via democracy, she highly doubts anyone would vote for a person they don't know.]
I see. It's a lot to take in.
[She blows out her breath, frustrated, before her gaze flicks back to the unusual Japanese man.]
And you are...?
If you don't mind me saying so, you're a little more muscular than the average CEO in my world.
[As in, significantly so. It's an oddity, and she's a detective. She can't help noticing.]
He was a firm believer of "might makes right." I was forced to train myself to the peak of my ability simply to survive.
[He shifts in his chair, allowing for the dim lighting of his office to accent the myriad of scars on his face as well.]
And now you're here.
[And likewise, her physique doesn't go unnoticed either.]
Now that you've asked me about my physique, it's only polite to return the favor. You're a fighter yourself, are you not?
[She smiles proudly. Her body and skills took a great deal of work to hone and train, so she sees no need to be modest or dismissive.]
I'm an agent of Interpol...the international police organization.
Yes, I'm well aware of them. Shortly after I took over the Mishima Zaibatsu, close to twenty years ago, Interpol launched an investigation into some of the secret projects my father was conducting.
[Curious as to whether they were indeed from the same world, he decided to make a couple name drops in the hope she would recognize them.]
I don't suppose you have heard of the agents sent to investigate? Lei Wulong and Jun Kazama?
No, sorry. None of those names ring a bell. I think it's safe to say our worlds are not the same.
[Either that or they're from completely different times. That's a possibility too, she supposes.]
Yes... it would seem so. However, the simple fact that our worlds share the concept of Interpol is... intriguing.
What do you mean?
My father is the ultimate example of everything that is wrong with the world. He lusts for power for the sake of power, wields it with impunity against any he deems weak, and he refuses to just die. Of course, the problem does not end with him. After all, the new CEO of the Mishima Zaibatsu - Jin Kazama, my son - used the Zaibatsu's army to initiate World War 3, with G Corporation being the only thing that could mount a resistance.
That's definitely a big difference between our worlds. We're not without problems and corruption ourselves, but nothing so drastic as a third world war.
[Did one of his eyes just glow red? ...Yeah, that's definitely a glowing red eye.]
And what do you intend to do in this world?
[His answer seems honest enough. She can't be too nosy; interpol deals with crimes crossing the boundaries of other nations, not other worlds. Even so, it can't hurt to keep an eye on him. His zealous nature could turn sour.]
Then I wish you luck with that.

[Kira]
Well, if you must know, there's this one overlord-wanna-be, that demands everyone to send him some pudding cups.
Pathetic really.
no subject
[She pushes her fingers through her bangs, baffled. Well. He DID label him as an overlord-wanna-be.]
I suppose that's nothing to worry about, really.
no subject
[It was a good thing Kira barely remembered anything while he was Lucifer. But...] He's a demon after all. He can kill. [A little payback for the brat.]
no subject
[Nonetheless...]
But I will be vigilant just the same. Thank you.
no subject
[Not even a lie. She was pretty.] Just be careful. Lots of people here can spell trouble for you.
no subject
[And much too young for her, but she's flattered at the compliment just the same.]
I will. Thank you for the tip.
[She's not the kind of person to leap before she looks, so right now, she intends to do an AWFUL lot of looking.]
How long have you been here, if you don't mind me asking?
no subject
Half a year. Give or take a few weeks. Awesome, right?
no subject
[She knuckles her chin, her gaze dropping pensively.]
Have there been any clues or indications as to why we're here, or who's responsible?

[Chun-Li gestures with an open palm.]
Kindness, encouragement...even just conversation can go a long way.
no subject
I can't say I'm good with any of those...
[She can do encouragement, though it's usually only half-hearted.]
no subject
[She grins.]
Sometimes the attempt is all it takes.
no subject
[It's not a particularly hard task. It's keeping Kodachi satisfied that's the hard part.]
no subject
[Well. Being employed is...well it's not quite what she meant, but... Chun-Li scratches the side of her head.]
That's a good start!
no subject
[She's afraid of what might happen to her mental state if she trained 24-7.]

"Well, if it isn't the china girl! Seems I can't go anywhere without you pesky Interpol agents getting in the way. How's that father of yours doing?
Of course, I'd so hate for you to go without work in an economy like this. Don't worry, insect! You'll soon be neck deep in more misery and gloom than you can possibly handle! HAHAHAHAHA!"
*static off*

[He's gone before she can even
call him a MONSTERRRRRRRform a proper retort. Looks like she can't relax here, if Bison's around as well. But...how? She saw him just yesterday. She folds her arms, narrowing her eyes at the blank screen of her videophone.][Well. Interpol is meant to pursue criminals beyond national boundaries. Interdimensional boundaries aren't too big a stretch. She taps her lip, then stands and starts striding toward the nearest apartment building. If she's going to pursue him, she's going to need a place to stay. Neither of them are going anywhere for a while.]
