WHO: Sun and Blake
WHEN: 9/30
WHERE: Various places.
WHAT: Going out on a date!
WARNINGS: None so far. Will update if there are any.

Now that Sun was all dressed up in his outfit, he was ready to go. But not before checking himself one final time in the mirror to make sure everything was straight. It felt weird being somewhat dressy. This was more so Neptune’s thing than his own. If he was here, Sun was certain it would have been him dragging Sun out to get some nice looking clothes.

But he hadn’t seen the guy in nearly a year at this point. The same for the rest of his team, which bummed Sun out a lot. But, he had a date with Blake tonight, and this was the high point of his time here. He smoothed his jacket out and then left his apartment and went right next door to knock on Team RWBY’s apartment door.

The butterflies in his stomach just wouldn't settle down. But he tried to remember what Yang said about being his normal self.

"Be cool, Sun. Just be cool."

"Who knows. Perhaps a little Sun light is what's needed to melt the Ice Queen's frozen heart." She said, and as such, it almost did sound like a perfect story. He said he didn't but usually in the end, all men submitted. Eh, it was the way of life for her and Ruby. Ruby had to deal with Yang's many male friends leaving gifts and Blake usually ended up being more of a delivery service to Weiss from her suitors.

"But, to each their own taste and preference." She gave a small shrug and looked at her dress. "I was pretty happy when I found it. I'd hoped you'd like it and it was different than those 'disguises' we had to wear that- really didn't go as planned." A small scoff at just how silly they did end up looking only to be discovered fairly quickly.

Maybe other guys would, but Sun wasn’t like all of the other guys. “I’m pretty sure the heat from Zuko is all that it’s going to take to melt her frozen heart.” Weiss seemed pretty into Zuko, from what Sun could tell. He was still pretty surprised about it. But they seemed happy together, so Sun was happy for her.

“My disguise was great.” He said proudly. “I could have gone up to anyone in that, and they wouldn’t have known it was me.” That’s a complete lie, and he knows it.

"I didn't get to really meet him but at least that's good to know." Meeting him for the first time in 'disguises' probably didn't make the greatest of first impressions, especially when he saw through her lie fairly quickly.

"But your poor tail." She said while reaching down to gently pet the soft fur and fluff that matched his hair color. Idly she wondered if his hair felt the same but she wouldn't push it that far. Last thing she wanted to do was make him uncomfortable.

"It might of been all the glasses everyone else was wearing that gave us away."

"It was fine. Hiding it away definitely isn't an everyday thing for me." For Blake, it was fine. She just had to hide her ears in a bow. For him, he'd have to stuff his tail into his pants or underneath his shirt. Though a long coat probably could have worked pretty well at hiding it too.

"You'll get your chance to properly meet him. I know Weiss will probably be bringing him around a lot."

"I guess I lucked out on the hiding my Faunus parts." Releasing his tail, she reached up and touched one of her cat ears. It still felt strange to have them out so freely for everyone to see and often humans made her feel almost shame for having them. A small part of her reasoning for hiding them away.

"Hopefully it will be one of the days I'm actually there. I've made myself a small comfortable camp sight within the library I just need to work my way through majority of those books."

"You can do that at your place, you know. Me and Weiss were both really sad when you and Ruby left. We missed you both a lot." Though Weiss didn't say she did until Sun said it.

"I'm sure she Weiss and Yang when she gets back would like to spend some time with you three reconnecting as a team. You three should go out and have a girls night."

Averting her gaze to just look down at the table she gave a light heart scoff. A girl's night probably was in the works, at least a night where it doesn't end in a barrage of bullets for once. That would be nice.

"Are you sure it's really me who should be sitting here with you?" She teased with only a hint of truth behind it, mainly because of her own insecurities. "It sounds like she belongs here more than me."

Team RWBY was important to him, so he wanted them to be together and having a good time as a team. He opened his mouth to say something, but then the hostess brought their food over to them and placed it down. Sun nodded his thanks and have her time to leave before he started talking again.

"There is no one else I would rather be here with than you, Blake. You believe me, don't you?"

She at least straightened up and offered a kind thank you for the food that was brought over to them. At least she could tell they used rather fresh ingredients that had her cat side practically purring.

Hearing him, she stared down with a small bite of her lip. "I'm...skeptical." She said quietly before glancing back up at him at her side. "I've had my heart broken once and while my friends have soothed the ache- you just somehow make it feel all better. One look at you as you ran off the boat and you piqued my interest." She explained with her cheeks becoming a bit darker the more she spoke.

"I don't know how you do it. I don't know you made me fall for you so easily."

Sun smiles a bit. “I don’t think there is any secret to it. I didn’t do anything special, as far as I know.” If there was some secret to what he did, then he didn’t know it. He was sure he knew a lot of people that would love to know it if there was.

“I want you to believe me, Blake. I don’t know what more I can do other than tell you that I really mean it when I say that.” If his words and his actions couldn’t prove that to her, then he didn’t really know what would. He picks up some of his sushi and takes a bite of it and it tasted just like Blake said it would.

"I guess you just have that special charm to you." She said quietly while picking the piece of her own food off of her plate. It did indeed smell fresh. She would be playing in to the stereotype of a cat loving fish but she really couldn't help it when it smelled good.

And she took a bite. It even tasted heavenly. So much better than the cans she would get or the trash she would eat out of when she was young with nowhere to go. Never in her dreams would she think she could have something that tasted so good.

Glancing up at him, she offered a small smile after finishing her first piece. "How is it? I hope my description didn't disappoint."

“It tastes even better than you said it would.” Not that she didn’t talk it up enough. He figured by what she said that it would be good, it just exceeded his expectations. He even went as far as to pick up a piece of sushi and held it out for her so she could take a bite out of it. That or she could take it from him if she thought him feeding her might have been a bit too forward.

“Try some yourself.”

A small blush painted her cheeks as he offered her some of his sushi. That's one way to make a cat swoon a bit. "R-Really?"

Leaning forward, she took a bite of it with her cat ears giving the smallest of twitches on the taste and texture. Even talking about it didn't live up to the taste it gave and everything had tasted far too good that she started to give off small purrs.

Sun knew pretty well that he was basically playing with the odds stacked in his favor when he offered her some of his food. It would be like her having a banana or some sort of other fruit and giving it to him. It would always be accepted well. A grin curled onto his lips as he watched her reaction.

“I told you I would get a purr out of you.”

She really couldn't help the blush that tainted her cheeks at that. She knew she was in danger of purring but just how deep, well, that was more a compliment towards him than the food.

Finishing her little bite, she shyly leaned back in her seat with a small smile at his words. "That's not fair. You know my one of my weaknesses already and I've yet to find any of yours."

Mirroring his moves, she raised a piece of hers up for him. "Want to try some of mine?"

“Well you only have your friends to blame for that.” Though they were coming here anyway, so it still really wasn’t fair. But to her question, he gives a nod and leans in. He takes a bite out of her sushi and chews and swallows. Then he lets out his own little purr intentionally. Maybe her getting to hear him purr would make things a little more even in her eyes.

"I'll have to be sure to 'thank' them for that." She teased with a small sigh and playful scoff.

That intentional purr made her brow quirk. Did he really just-- ugh. And with how happy he looked it was almost too precious and cute. Somehow he managed to just be ridiculously adorable.

With a tiny bit of sarcastic roll of her eyes, she moved her finger under his chin to skritch gently, just like one would to a beloved. "You're not fooling me with that. I'll get a genuine one out of you, you'll see."

"Try all you like, but I have my doubts that you will manage it." He sat there enjoying the feeling of what she was doing. It was much easier to get a purr from her than it was to get one from him. Now if she wanted to make his tail stand up straight, there may be some things she could do to get that.

He then returned to eating his sushi. "So I was thinking we could walk around and explore a little more after we eat. Are you fine with that?"

He was probably right. She didn't know the first thing about making him purr or make any other sort of noises. Trying to get his tail to stand on end? That would certainly be fun to try but how to even begin was a mystery to her. He did seem to arc it up when he was happy...

She'd have to experiment a little to see just what made him tick.

Going back to her own plate, happily enjoying the taste of something so delicious as fresh fish, she gave a nod before dabbing her lips clean. "Sounds like a plan. There certainly seemed to be a lot going on around here.

All the colorful lights look almost like brightly glowing dust. It's rather pretty."

He gives a little nod. "Yeah, this place looks and feels really busy. The times that I came here, it was easy to get swept up in it all and lose track of time." He ate a little bit more of his sushi before speaking again.

"Maybe we might spot some other restaurants that we want to try some time." Or find some interesting stores or even a movie theater playing an interesting movie. The thought of discovering some new things with her honestly just made him more excited about this.

That she could understand. Just their short little walk from the Archways to where they are seemed so packed with things like she had never seen in Vale. It seemed a more sophisticated place than to Tokyo but Tokyo did have its charms of getting someone to look everywhere at once.

Taking another bite of her own food, still loving the taste each time. She is indeed eager to find out what other little treasures this city might be hiding. Plus, it helps to make the transition a lot easier than being plopped in some new world all alone. "We should." She agreed with a small smile as she stared down. It was like they were already planning another few dates or even just outings and all without the risk of possibly getting shot at.

"You won't be too tired tomorrow, will you? I know you said you have a job and I'd hate to mess up your schedule by keeping you out so late."

Well Sun hoped that there wasn't a risk of getting shot. He didn't know what the seedier places were like here or what the criminals were like. But he hoped that the place was completely safe, not that the two of them would have had trouble defending themselves should it not be.

"I won't be. I always make sure I get plenty of rest. Plus I make my own hours, so work starts when I want it to start. No need to worry about me at all." He ate a few more pieces of his sushi.

Even if there was, she'd do what she could to protect him. Not that she believed he was unable to, but because he was that important to her to do so.

"I should find a job like that. If not that then in the library to at least get paid for spending so much time in there." She joked before taking another bite of her food happily.

"I don't think you'll have a difficult time finding something that you enjoy doing." He himself though she might end up with a job in the library or maybe even a job selling books. Just something book related since it seemed to be one of her passions.

"Just get out there and look and you'll find something."

"You say that is if I've already made it a second home." She teased as she stared down at her plate, picking another piece of her meal up to eat.

Drawing close to finishing her plate, she noticed that along with the meal they placed a little small organization of fruit as a complimentary.

Picking up a piece of orange, she held it out for Sun. "Would you like my fruit?"
