I wanted to apologize for my lack of responsibility for the past month. It seems like there had been a lot happening and I haven't been able to work properly with the hospital.

Needless to say, I'm here if anyone needs me. To everyone new here, my name is Ishtar. I'm a healer and a medic. I work at the Genessia Hospital. I specialize in healing mostly. I also know a bit of things here and there if you want to ask questions. If there's anything you need me to to do, let me know.

[ she replied with a brief smile o her face as she greeted people gently. ]

Otherwise hello old faces and welcome new ones! I hope everyone's doing well.

On top of that, I was wondering if anyone had any spare time to spar with me or cook? I would like to get better at both of them. Of course, I'll repay your help with something! Let me know

[Ishtar's kindness never ceased to surprise him. Considering his utter failure to get his teammates to trust him, though, his ability to trust others in return was clouded. Logic would dictate that complaining about one angel did not mean she saw all of them as selfish, hurtful beings, but he could not see that.

Still...he found that recently, he at least enjoyed Ishtar's company, and didn't really want to see her hurt.]

[Smooth and practiced as always...but truth be told, she was right.]

Yeah, it's definitely not so bad, you know? Been getting along with it pretty well so far. How's your work been treating you?

...Oh yeah? What was that angel like?

[He hoped it wasn't one of Cruxis. Then again, none of the four Seraphim fit the description 'pleasant and friendly', so probably not.]

Will do, but I normally finish about 4 if that's cool with you.

[ Ishtar was a strangely self-sacrificing person and that won’t ever change. Ishtar didn’t seem to look at people’s past as much as others and trust is a hard thing to have. Even for her, she had a hard time trusting some people recently due to her own personal experiences, but she was trying. She would have to prove it to him if he ever brought it up, but for now she would focus on taking care of her house mates to the best of her abilities ]

…Ahaha, you really like to flatter people don’t you?

[ She chuckled a little. ]

I’m just me, really. [ She replied shaking her head. ] I’m happy that it’s been good for you and well I’ve been busy here and there but it’s not too bad. I’m glad the hospital is back and running again. Though, Duzie has an issue of pushing his patients over to me so my work load doubles as the guy lazes around.

[ She made a face at him. ]

He’s kind of sarcastic, friendly and sweet. He was kind of protective in his own right. He’s also really helpful and stuff. Actually, I learned he was an angel recently.

[ Not that she knows of to be honest. ]

That sounds perfect. I’ll be getting off soon myself haha. Well, I’m not quite sure. I just learned enough to protect myself honest.

So everything got cleared up, then? Man, sounds as if he needs to do his own work for a change...you're too nice taking it all of his hands like that~

[Zelos paused as she talked about this other angel. Nope, probably not one of Cruxis. 'Friendly' didn't really fit Yuan, Kratos or Mithos, even on a good day.]

Huh...sounds a bit different to the pissy one who's been throwing a fit lately. That guy doesn't strike me as that helpful from what you've said.

Sounds good to me~ And well, guess I'll have to see for myself.

[He winked.]

[ Ishtar tries. That's all there is to it really and it's fine. He doesn't have to get used to it. Ishtar's just Ishtr is all. ]

[ She laughed. He's a really strange guy all together really. ]

Yeah for the most part. Yeah he does but I can't force him to do what he doesn't want to do. He tries at least sometimes when I give him that look you know~ Haha, I love helping people but you know sometimes I think about if I'm really doing it for everyone else and not to just make me feel better...

[ She mused looking off to the side. ]

Yeah he's tons different. He's kind of sarcastic too. No, he's not. Alright, I suppose so. I'll see you after work then Zelos. Me too!

[Ishtar is Ishtar and Zelos is...well, Zelos. He'll get there, eventually.]

You know, I'd think it was stranger if you just helped for everyone else's sake. Nothing wrong with doing it for selfish reasons too, you know.

[Lighthearted as the comment was, when Zelos' said that his tone sounded more straightforward, perhaps even genuine - his voice not marked by his usual flirtatious banter.

In some ways, the idea that Ishtar was, in part, showing kindness to satisfy herself made him a little more comfortable. That she wasn't an entirely selfless being - something he knew could not exist. It meant he felt less guilty for the kindness that she offered him.]

Sounds interesting...But anyway, my break's nearly over so I'd better get back to work. See you later, Ishtar~

[ That is honestly true and that's all you can really think about really. ]

I want people to be happy and safe. That's more important to me than anything. I really don't have any particular reason to help people, but it's had when people think you have a motive behind it.

[ She shrugged. ]

Maybe that might be true, but I don't really want to be like that.

[ Ishtar takes note of the way he said his words and he lets hi know what she's really thinking. Ishtar doubts herself a lot but she really just wants to make people happy. It's just always hard trying to do that and failing miserably time and time again.

Sometimes it might be that helping others helps fill a void in her own heart, so she thinks about it a lot more differently than others. Still, Zelos is right, maybe she does have thoughts like that. Her kindness to him was because she saw a lot of herself in him when he was stuck as a kid. It reminded her of how lonely she was and how hurtful it must have been to be like that. She was selfless but sometimes she cold be selfish but she had to push that away. ]

[ When Zelos got off of work, Ishtar was sitting there waiting for him. She was prepared for the fun sparring they would be doing since she needed it a lot and on the way here, she had a lot to think about as she made her way to his work.

Ishtar had Sidia strapped at her waist and her hair in a long ponytail. She poked around quietly as she waited for Zelos. ]

[Learning how to tell when Zelos was actually being serious and genuine was an art in itself - if Ishtar could do that, that would probably go a long way. Zelos, for the most part, was primarily a selfish man. At least, that's how he saw himself.

After Zelos' shift was finally over, he slipped into the back room to get changed into a loose pair of trousers and tanktop - much more suitable for a fight than his work uniform. His own shortsword hung at his waist, a small, new-looking shield resting on his arm. Since the vampire incident a few days before, Zelos had come to the conclusion that picking one up again was probably a sensible idea.

Seeing Ishtar waiting, he offered her a bright smile and a wave as he headed over.]

Heeey, Ishtar~ I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long?

[ It was indeed a genuine art, but of course Ishtar would go through with what she's devoted to doing. Even if it's a bit of stranger that she is spending her time with. He's not so much a stranger anymore, but she still doesn't know much about him.

Ishtar smiled as he approached her after his work Good. She didn't get lost miserably this time. ]

Hey there. Not at all. I just got here a few minutes ago. Are you sure you'll be okay to spar?

[It probably didn't help that Zelos had a tendency to avoid discussing much of anything about his life back home, aside from claiming to be a travelling swordsman. Somehow, the subject always got casually brushed off when it came up.]

Yup, totally up for it if you are? I mean, I'm kinda hoping you won't try to kill me outright? If it was Duzell I'd be more worried.

[He laughed cheerfully. Thankfully for him, most of the wounds from the attack had been healed up.

Not that he'd admit to having healing magic himself, of course. ]

[ Yes, but Ishtar doesn't help by asking about it sometimes, but it is what it is. She'll wait patiently to talk with him again when they have a chance to. ]

I am. I really need to practice again or I'll forget everything.

[ She replied getting up from her leaning position. I can't really kill you, since I'm not that skilled, Zelos. I don't intend to hurt anyone. Duzie would be pretty harsh about some things. Really, don't mind the grump guy.

[ She replied stretching now. ] Alright, where's a good place to spar?

[Which may come soon enough, all things considered.]

Aw, come on, give yourself a little more credit~

[He chuckled, before heading over to her.]

I guess the local park'd work, if you're up for that? Not too far from here either.

[ Yeah that is true too. ]

Ah, well I'm pretty confident about a lot of thngs that aren't combat.

[ she laughed nervously. ]
