[Yang slurps up more of her chow mein, poking her chopsticks into the little white box before setting her dinner briefly aside.]

I'll start off with the big one. I think there's enough of us here that we can afford to put a down payment on a house, and stretch out our legs. What do you guys think?

[ Weiss is adjusting her little tray of lemon drop cookies as Yang starts the meeting. ]

Yes. Absolutely.

[ Weiss moves over to the main circle of the group now that she's done making sure there are enough cookies out and it's all neat, even if it's just for them. Weiss has been down with this idea since she heard about it the first time. Mostly because they are getting very crowded and while she's used to the dormitories, that doesn't mean she prefers a cramped area. ]

If we do, can we get locks for the windows? My bedroom window keeps getting mistaken for the front door. Also, I want a backyard and a garage. If we have a backyard, Frost can spend most of the day out there when it isn't too cold so he won't bother Blake and I won't have to change his litter box constantly. Or, if we afford a two story house, we can just put the baby gate in front of the staircase so the entire second story can be dog-free.

[ At least she's aware of the Frost issues. Even if she.. keeps adding amendments onto her requests. Whatever, it's the time to get ideas out there. ]

While we're at it, we should get some kind of security system, and a guest room in case of emergencies. And more than one bathroom in case more than one of us has to get to work at the same time.

[From the kitchen, she leans over and calls out to them since she's back atop the fridge with Weiss' dog circling under her.]

While I agree with some of your demands, we're wanting a home, not a mansion with staff. Remember, we all have to pay for this so it should be somewhat of an even trade off.

But I do agree with the baby gate. If need be I'll get two of them to put in front of my door on top of one another.

[For the record, she wouldn't have ate all of the desert.... While she's listening, she'll just be eating her food.]

There is a fair amount of us here. I still need to find a job, but I'll definitely find something.

[She really couldn't say much since she just got here, so she just listened to the things that were thrown out there.]

A backyard would be nice.

[Looking back to Blake, she set down her food and went to grab Frost. Holding Frost in her arms, she made her way back to where she was sitting, petting him in her lap.]

[Yang winks at Ruby. They're both pretty mechanically minded.]

You could also apprentice with the blacksmith in Fayren. They're not as technologically advanced as we're used to, but I bet you could customize some killer weapons that would knock their medieval socks off!

[She looks at Weiss, bracing herself for what she suspects might be a list of very unaffordable items. But, to her surprise, the requirements are pretty modest!]

Well, we could probably get a four-bedroom house if we each want our own room. But if we double up, we could get a three-bedroom and make the third room into a guest room. What do you guys think?

[ Blake complaining about her demands not being affordable makes Weiss reconsider while the others talk, so at least when Yang brings that up, she knows her answer already. ]

If I can't have all of that, I at least want a backyard and two bathrooms. And separate rooms. At least two of us have boyfriends so I think privacy will probably eventually become a necessity.

[ At least she's pretty sure. She just assumes Sun and Blake will be going full boyfriend-girlfriend without even asking..

Either way, Weiss is going to lean over to pet Frost while Ruby holds him. ]

A backyard does sound like a unanimously agreed upon thing. As well as privacy.

I don't mind bunk beds or the dorm life but if we're all working different hours or up at different times it makes sense to not try to disturb the other housemates. [Better to be quiet than making a ruckus when others are trying to sleep.]

Any idea where to begin even looking for a house? It's not exactly something they teach us at Beacon.

[Because anything to do with weapons, she's totally all for.]

I don't know... As much as I liked being roommates with you guys -- not like we still aren't housemates -- It would be nice to have our own rooms. Two bathrooms sounds good to me, too.

[She really didn't want to have to fight over the bathroom all the time.]

We should just look. That doesn't seem hard.

If we want a yard, we probably don't want to look around Nova City. Everglade isn't exactly ideal if we actually want guests who won't get harassed by ghosts and whatever on the way.

[She absently skritches Frost before she takes a crisp bite of her fried shrimp.]

I think Attleton might be our best bet. The prices are generally lower out there, and neighbors are likely to be more friendly. Just be aware that a four bedroom house is going to either be really small, or really pricey. Have you guys been saving up? Because we're going to have to cough up a pretty big chunk of cash for the deposit.

We can't stay in Genessia? I mean, somewhere near Hamete Strip Mall would be nice and Fayren-adjacent, which would mean easy-access to Vale. Attleton is small, boring, and basically has nothing around it- that's why it costs less.

[ Weiss finally decided to eat some food. Dandan noodles even, though her mouth looks a little red from eating something so spicy. But she's determined! ]

I've been saving since I got here, barring a few.. monetary complications. [ Like her party and attempting to help bail Zuko out of what he put into bidding on her. ] But I do have some savings, and I was recently promoted to Manager at work, so I can put in my fair share.

Neptune's hoping to help get a job for me at the library. With the money from that I should have a good savings on it. Until then, little jobs can help with any down payments.

[Slides off of the fridge after a moment but still keeps her distance from Frost, even if he's tiny.]

Second jobs shouldn't be too complicated. There's-- not really much to do here now that we're kind of stuck here rather than training and classes.

[She puts down her food, grinning from ear to ear.]

Why don't we take down a couple of bounties? We should be able to save up more than enough that way. And it'll be good training besides!

You have vast experience with libraries and books and probably already have the catalog memorized. Just go in there and tell them that, Blake. Using Neptune as a reference will help, but not if you don't get in their face about it.

[ But Yang did have a point. ]

I can.. probably ask Azula to hold onto a couple of big ones for us. Now that she's Fayren's Guardian, I'm sure they go through her first. I know Nova City's Guardian too.

Don't worry, Ruby. You really did just arrive but I'm sure we can help cover you until we get in the routine of life here. [They can't let their leader down after all.]

[Half rolls her eye in a 'well- that's true' manner.] Apparently he just charmed his way there but I'll do just that. And- maybe I do have all those things cataloged.

A few bounties shouldn't be too hard for us in the least bit.

There are always bounties to pull in. Sometimes it's criminals, sometimes it's monsters. They're not always posted by the guardians, either. We can split up into teams, or we can each tackle one of the outlying cities to grab whatever bounty they've got up. The first way is safer, the second ensures we earn money faster.

[Yang's pretty proud of herself for thinking this up, you can see it in the width of her grin.]

My vote is on the faster method. Sun, Neptune, and Nora are fine to live next to, but the sooner I don't have to see Casey Jones when I leave the house, the better. If we're going to do multiples and any of us have trouble, we can just come back into pairs instead of the whole team, too. If the guardians don't put them up, is there some way to tell how difficult they are ahead of time?

[ Weiss wants to move fast, but not if it means killing one of them. Not that she thinks most of them will be more difficult than Grimm. ]
