[Neptune is walking through the city, with a large bag and an ornate trident over one shoulder. With his free hand, he's got his communicator out to address ~~his adoring fans~~ everyone.]

Well, it wasn't too hard to find a job. I'll be working at the library. It doesn't pay that much, but I figure if I've got to work while I'm here, I might as well work where I plan on spending a lot of time. So Blake, I'll be putting aside anything I find that might have something useful in it.

And I've never heard of this "Halloween" thing before, but it sounds like a lot of fun. I'm always down for some that. Especially if it means I get to dress up. I picked out a costume for it, but I have no idea what it's supposed to be. I just chose it for the sweet trident it came with. I'm going to wear it to my first day of work. I probably should have asked if that was okay... Oh well!

[And with that, he'll cut off the feed and head into his apartment building. It's been a long day, and all he wants to do is sprawl out on the couch for a bit.]

Yes well, there's a bit of importance in finding a secure job now. Seems we're all hoping to move in to a bigger place. A house, actually, given that our apartment's getting a little too crowded.

That makes sense. You guys do have a lot of people crammed in there. Plus a house will give the dog somewhere to go.

I guess it's kind of like a merman. The clothes have a scale pattern.

That does sum up this costume pretty well.

[ Well, it turns out that Neptune is in for some disappointment, among other things. Because just as he opens the door, he'll hear the tv and when he's able to see the couch he'll notice that it's not as empty as he had hoped.

In fact it's currently being occupied by Nora, who is lying out with a bowl balanced on her stomach while she's watching TV. Something along the lines of Kung Fu action movie. She hears the door open, and turns her head in that direction. Although when she sees Neptune, her reaction isn't at all what one might expect. ]

Oh, good! You're here! [ Lifting the bowl in his direction. Besides a few specks of crumbs, the bowl is empty. ] You're all out of popcorn. [ And in case he didn't pick up on what she was implying, she gives the bowl a little shake in his general direction. ]

[Well, there goes his plan for sprawling out...]

You're right. I'm pretty sure that was the last bag.

[Setting his costume stuff down, he flops into the chair near the couch.]

What are you doing here, anyway?

[ She frowns when he doesn't seem to get her subtle cues, and with a small disappointed huff, she sets the bowl down on the ground beside her. ]

I'm watching a movie.

[ Turning her eyes back to the screen, she pulls out her device and begins flicking her eyes between it and the action on the screen. ]

You missed out on a pretty cool scene where they fought each other with swords in the trees.

[Hey, she can get her own popcorn.]

That does sound pretty awesome. But I meant, why are you in our apartment?

Oh. That. [ She starts typing something into her videophone, sending a message to someone that takes just as long as it does for her to answer Neptune's question. ]

I followed Sun home the other day, because I thought to myself, hey, you know Nora, you should stick around people that know what's up with Grimm. That way if they show up and everything starts going crazy you'll at least be around people that won't be freaking out all over the place. And, at first I was going to stay with the girls, but then I thought they probably wouldn't have any room for me... and besides this is only going to be temporary anyway until my teammates show up, so I don't want to stay with anyone that I might get attached to, you know. So that's why I followed him here, because I thought I could just stay here for awhile. I didn't know that you lived here until you walked in the door, but that's cool, it's just you and Sun here, right?

[ Her attention goes onto Neptune and she doesn't at all seem to think anything strange about that tangent just there, because... it's just how she do. ]

Oh. [He'd also assumed that Nora would end up with the girls. But yeah, they were a little full up next door.]

Yeah, it's just us. You're more than welcome to stay with us. I'm sure Sun won't mind. I would have offered to let you stay with us, but I'd assumed you'd stay with RWBY.

Yeah... I know... but ... [ How to explain. ] I think this would be better for right now. [ But that isn't to say that she doesn't plan to poke over there a lot to hang out with them! Cause she's totally going to do that! ]

Have you ran into anybody else from Remnant? [ Just in case she's missing out on anybody important hanging out around here... ]

[A few minutes after Nora sent that message, a young man swings the door open and walks in. He's taking small steps in though because he's currently wearing rollerblades.]

Hey Nora, y'know I don't have any money. So can I borrow some if I'm going to go and get you popcorn?

[He'll then look over at Neptune.]

Hey, aren't you the nerd who works at the library. Sup?

[The most "intelligent" looking person in Genessia has something to say about this.]

You work at a library?

[He bursts out laughing.]

Wooooooow, What a nerd job for nerds.

[It's alright, he's used to getting this kind of a reaction from his best friend.]

Yeah, I work at a library. It's the kind of work that intellectuals do.

I have met two people like that. One was a mutant turtle and the other was probably the most amazing girl I have ever met.

Uh... It's something called Aquaman? Whatever it is, it came with a pretty sweet trident, and that's the main reason I picked it. Have you gotten a costume at all?

At first it seems that nothing is really amiss. His apartment is cozy and relaxed and there isn't much of anything going on. Though it's not five minutes after he gets home that he may notice a strange smell... Toast?

In the kitchen, hovering next to the toaster, was a small green haired girl with a black hat strange looping blue cords floating around her body. She was staring quite attentively at the toaster waiting patiently for her toast to pop up. It seemed that she had nabbed a piece or two from a loaf that was now sitting next to the toaster...

At least she had the decency to close the bag back up after taking the bread out.
