Hi everyone, it's Weiss. I'm just giving everyone a heads up that I put in for some days off at work so I can go to the Dream Docks. I'll be back in time for Halloween, but I need someone to watch Frost while I'm gone.

Zuko, I know you were upset about Charizard, do you want to take him? That way I'll still get to see him and since you're Deputy Guardian now, you probably have more space to take care of him openly if you think that's better.

I'm going in a couple of hours and I'll be gone for a week, so does anyone need anything reasonable from me before I leave?

[ he slides on in, shutting the window behind him and pushing his hood back. ]

I am good at stealing.

[ Weiss folds her hands behind her back, walking backward into the room so she can still face Zuko. ]

There's this girl, she's going to go asleep for a while. You should go steal her lips when it's time for her to wake up in seven day's time. It might even work to steal her heart, if you really wanted to.

[ like he's tethered to her, zuko follows. he catches up, and although her raises his hands to cheeks, he asks: ] Anyone I know?

Well, you might. Long white hair, bright blue eyes, always wears heels and combat skirts. I'm sure you'll recognize her.

[ zuko rose up on his toes for a moment, peer over her head for someone else unseen in the room like making himself taller was necessary for this task. ]

Don't see her. [ his fingertips trace the contour of one of her ears. ] All I see is you. All I want to see is you.

[ Weiss moves one of her hands to put it over Zuko's, turning her head to kiss his wrist. ]

It is me, you doof.

Is it? [ the thumb of the hand she's not holding sweeps over her lips and the line of her jaw. ] I never would have guessed.

[ Weiss presses a light kiss to his thumb as it trails over her lips. ]

So are you going to?

Tyrant.

[ that's the only answer he provides her with before he's kissing her squarely on the lips. ]

He-- mm.

[ She had been about to complain that at least she asked this time, but the complaint was forgot with the kiss and she closed her eyes, moving to wrap her arms around his waist as she kissed him back for a moment before pulling back. ]

Even if I'm going to be asleep, I'm going to be miss you.

I think we both know I'm going to miss you, too.

[ weiss has been his constant in genessia. she's been there since day one, berating him for not knowing what video technology was. it's only a week, but a week without her is going to feel out of place.

zuko's lips graze her temple as he pulls her in against his chest and wraps his arms around her. ] When are you heading out?

[ Weiss holds him close, more than content to stay there with him. In fact, she almost doesn't want to let go. ]

Whenever Sun's ready. He said he was planning on going soon too, so we decided to just go together. He had a few things to do though, so we should have some time.

[ the palm he smooths down her back from her shoulder blades to her hips is brimming with heat. hopefully not too hot. zuko means for his touch to be soothing, not scorching. ]

I'll make sure I'm there when you wake up — to steal your lips and your heart.

[ There was a very literal metaphor about melting the Ice Queen here, honestly. She seems to be doing just that in his arms, relaxing far more than most people will ever see her. ]

Good. Though I may have to pretend that you haven't already.

[ leave it to a fire prince to melt an ice queen's heart. ]

I have...?

[ When he asks if he has, she seems to realize more what she was saying. She was just enjoying his presence and saying whatever she wanted, partially her own fault since they'd started going with the silly conversation about stealing her heart with a kiss. ]

You can pretend I didn't say that if you want to.

[ Not because she didn't mean it, but she more than recognized that Zuko hadn't said anything about feeling something besides really liking her. And Weiss doesn't actually want to lose this, even if she's a pretty demanding person most of the time. ]

[ it wasn't that zuko didn't. he did, and has for a while. zuko falls hard and fast, (something he's pretty sure his sister's well aware of and likely already suspects on his end, at least) but has been holding on to how deep his feelings for her run out of fear that he'll scare her off if he said something she wasn't ready to hear. or worse, wasn't ever going to reciprocate. but now— ]

No, it's not that. [ zuko draws back enough to see her face, his hands settling on her sides just above the ruffles of her combat skirt. ] I just wasn't expecting you to feel that way, too. I thought it was just me.

[ Weiss doesn't look him in the eyes for a couple of seconds as she tries to think, mostly because she isn't exactly sure how to express this. Just saying three words didn't seem like the right thing to do, because it felt like more than that. It meant a lot more than that, and thinking this way.. it wasn't like she was just realizing it now, she just hadn't meant to say it. When she finally speaks, she looks him in the eyes directly. ]

I knew that I wanted to spend more time with you the first time I asked if you want to take me out to lunch- I was planning on asking even before that weird situation when you showed up without your scar happened. Since then you... tend to be the last person I think about when I go to sleep each night, and when Ruby came here and started talking about "making the best of a bad situation" when she got here I realized I didn't think it was bad at all. My friends are here, and even when it was just Sun and Yang, I had you. Even if I haven't been able to accomplish my goals with being a huntress here, and I'll still have to go back and do it someday and I know that, this place started feeling like home.. and I'm pretty sure that's because of you, Zuko.

[ a rare, serene look crosses his features as he listens to and absorbs her words. he's not used to being that person in someone's life, the one who fills the voids when he's full of so many voids himself — but then again, weiss is the one who's been unknowingly filling those for him, too. she's grounded him, given him reason when there doesn't seem to be any, and continues to reaffirm his decisions and make him feel like he's done, and is doing, the right thing.

clumsy, unrehearsed words bubble to the surface. ]

I used to think I was bad at being good. I mean, I kind of still am, but you... Sages, Weiss you make me feel like maybe it was the other way around. [ his hands come up and he's cupping her face again. ] You don't know how much that means to me. I've always felt so conflicted; my uncle said it was in my nature to feel that way, to have 'good' and 'evil' at war inside of me. But with you, I don't feel like I'm at war anymore. I feel like I've always been good and it was being bad that I was bad at. [ zuko's buries his fingers in her hair, no mind for how its pinned. ] You believe in me. You know the bad and the good, you know that I'm the Blue Spirit, and you still believe.

Going home... I know that's going to happen someday, and you're the reason why I don't want it to. You're the reason I don't care about what becomes of me back home, because all I care about is what becomes of me here. What becomes of us.

[ maybe she wasn't going to say those three little words, but zuko was. because it's important that he does. the last person he said them to was probably his mother. he should've said them to his uncle. he can only hope that iroh knows, and he's not about to forgo saying them to someone who deserves to hear them. ]

I love you, Weiss Schnee.

[ Weiss hadn't ever felt like this before. As he spoke, there was something in her chest that felt like it was filling up and threatening to overflow. The smile that pulled at her lips wouldn't leave, and when those final words finally came out, she couldn't hold it in anymore. Weiss reached up and pushed his hand out of her hair with a quick swat of her hand, then immediately jumped at him, throwing her arms around his neck and holding him close even if it meant her toes were barely on the ground.

She couldn't think of any more words to say. For now, everything they needed to say to show each other how much they meant to one another had been said. Well, with one exception that Weiss knew how to fix. ]

I love you, too, Zuko.

[ she jumped at him and he hoisted her off the ground, spinning them around in a circle while he laughed merrily into her hair. he was happy. for the first time in a very long time, he was both happy and confident in himself, and it was all thanks to this amazing girl.

when zuko set her down, it wasn't on her feet, but on the edge of her desk to keep them eye-level while he kissed her. ]

[ Weiss didn't so much as complain or fight her new position on the desk, completely contented with kissing him, being close to him, and just revelling in the fact that they both felt the same and it was something as powerful and fulfilling as love. She almost didn't want to go anymore- she just wanted to stay with Zuko, especially since this week was probably going to be terrible for him now that he knew and he couldn't be with her for a whole week. It was a good thing that Sun had wanted to go too so he could drag her away from Zuko later, because at this rate she wasn't going to let go of him unless one of them honestly hadn't to go somewhere. That much was very clear in the kiss they shared, passion and love for one another so obviously apparent within it. Even if they hadn't said the words, Weiss was sure that Zuko would have known after a kiss like this. ]

[ he would've, just as he felt he would have made himself obvious to her in much the same way. he kissed her with pure abandon, with an enthusiasm he didn't realize he possessed until now. his hands were everywhere — framing her face, resting on her shoulders, climbing up and down her arms and sides, one pressing against her lower back to draw her in closer while the other was tangled and lost in the mess he'd made of her hair — and his kisses ardent, even as they leave her lips to be peppered across her cheeks and the bridge of her nose.

zuko buried his face in the crook of her neck, alternating between pressing hot, open-mouthed kisses to her skin and sucking on patches he embarrassed with his tongue. ]

[ His hands were everywhere it felt like, and Weiss couldn't help but make small appreciative sounds, kissing back with as much fervor as he supplied each time. When their lips parted, even though she knew it was probably a good idea to breathe, she nearly made a disappointed sound before she realized he was just kissing elsewhere and it turned into what was nearly an appreciative purr.

Weiss tilted her head back, her hands moving to his chest to grip at the front of his shirt, pulling at him. She was trying to make sure she didn't wrinkle his shirt, but as he kept kissing and sucking and lapping at her skin, it was hard not to. She let it go on for a few moments, then one of her hands tapped his chest where she'd been gripping and she spoke up breathlessly. ]

Okay, if we keep this up I'm going to have the wrong kind of dreams, Zuko.

[ zuko groaned in protest, pulling his lips off her neck with an audible smack. his hands landed on the desk to either side of her legs when he released her. ]

You're no fun. [ he pressed one last, tender kiss to the side of her deck before drawing back. ] Tyrant.
