Anastasia K. Leonheart

[Anastastia was sitting alone in her room at the children's home, lights dimmed and curled in a ball on her bed and communicator in her hands. She was quietly waiting for any good news about recent events. She was quietly hoping that she did not just lose two dear friends. She wanted to believe that Koishi and Mamoru were still out there somewhere.

Every once in  a while, she would flip the device on to read some old texts from  Mamoru, but it only served to give her a fragile hope that are only dashed just by the passing of time as no news of either his or Koishi's whereabouts comes through on the public network.

Anastasia sighed deeply, almost a whimper while still curled in her little ball of fragile emotional safety, refusing to move until made to or until she gets the news she was longing for. She was finally getting used to living in Genessia thanks to all the support she got from her friends, and losing two of them at almost the exact same moment was simply too much for her.]

[Anon Text, Open]

[Izanami was fed up. With the problems in Everglade, being chucked out the Subarchway whilst they fixed themselves, the new Guardian, and random people teleporting into Castlvania at will, it all left her feeling rather frustrated.

So naturally, she decided to send one of her ambiguous, anonymous messages. At least this would take her mind off things for the time being. It was something she knew would resonate with anyone from Inaba who was here, but maybe smoke out other people with similar powers. Besides, if anyone else had thoughts on the subject, that was something she was interested in hearing too.]

There's a concept in psychology I have been reading about a great deal, lately. Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist, proposed that there were multiple pieces to a person's true self.

An individual has a side of themselves -- a mask, if you will -- that they present to the world around them. This is the impression they wish to make on other people, and conceals that which they do not want known. It reflects the role that they play in life, and thus, allows them to adapt to the demands society makes of them.

On the other hand, people also possess a subconscious part that they cannot acknowledge. An undesirable piece they reject, that they are ashamed of within themselves. It is the counterpart of the conscious ego, the mask I mentioned before. Despite it's nature, as much harm can come from denying it's existence as from becoming consumed by it.

The mask, 'Persona', and the subconscious 'Shadow Self'.

I wonder, how much can we hope to understand about the way people think...and how much of their true selves we can really see?

[That done, there was one more point of business she had to deal with: The new Guardian of Everglade. He seemed competent enough. An eternally calm man with a pleasant smile.

Yet, the Goddess was not convinced this would last. Fai couldn't really be as unphased as he appeared now, could he? In the end, he would prove as much of a coward as Ted had been, and Izanami was determined to prove this.

cw for Izanami's true form )

So you are Everglade's new Guardian... Who is it that you intend to protect here, and why? Can you really claim to care for the wellbeing of all this town's citizens?

WHO: Lopez, his coworkers, and anyone in Nova City who needs something fixed.
WHAT: Lopez at his job at "Sunfire Repair Shop"
WHEN: February 3rd
WHERE: Throughout Sunfire Repair Shop
WARNINGS: Unintelligible and Snarky Spanish Robot

[A]

[Anyone coming into the Sunfire Repair Shop today is going to be met by a new face, er, visor that is. Lopez, the newest employee of the shop, is currently stocking some shelves with things like motor oil and headlight fluid, taking advantage of his height (about six feet) to reach the higher shelves with ease.

Considering any type of uniform would be an issue for Lopez, who is permanently built into his armor, he's simply wearing an electronic name tag with the words "Hello, my name is: Lopez" inscribed on it. Anyone seeking help or guidance should feel free to stop by and ask him.]

[B]

[Admittedly Lopez wasn't exactly the type who needed a break: unlike humans he didn't need nearly as much rest time, taking longer to actually start running out of energy and need to refuel, and only slept when it was convenient and necessary. He doesn't really have any interests to pass the time either, so he just works to pass the time usually. However, he was still assigned a break, and he did in fact have something to work with currently.

Currently he's sitting at a table in the breakroom near the back, where he's currently messing around with his communicator. To be exact, he's carefully taking it apart and looking at the inside, probably to see if the translation issue was caused by an internal error. It looks a little odd when the device is taken apart, due to the glassy and clear design leaving little to the imagine as to whats inside, though Lopez seems to be seeing the inner functions somehow, since he keeps ranging it close to his visor to get a better look.

Admittedly fumbling with such a small device feels a bit awkward to Lopez, due to the gloves of his suit/body making it sort of hard at times to interact with the device without damaging something important. Sarge had made him largely for the purpose repairing large machines and vehicles much larger than this, allowing for Lopez to be a little rougher. Yet he still knows his fair share about this stuff, having been in charge of repairing nearly anything his team of idiots ended up breaking, including things like radios.]
