[Anastastia was sitting alone in her room at the children's home, lights dimmed and curled in a ball on her bed and communicator in her hands. She was quietly waiting for any good news about recent events. She was quietly hoping that she did not just lose two dear friends. She wanted to believe that Koishi and Mamoru were still out there somewhere.

Every once in a while, she would flip the device on to read some old texts from Mamoru, but it only served to give her a fragile hope that are only dashed just by the passing of time as no news of either his or Koishi's whereabouts comes through on the public network.

Anastasia sighed deeply, almost a whimper while still curled in her little ball of fragile emotional safety, refusing to move until made to or until she gets the news she was longing for. She was finally getting used to living in Genessia thanks to all the support she got from her friends, and losing two of them at almost the exact same moment was simply too much for her.]

[There is a soft knock on the door, her fingers tapping lightly against the solid piece of wood.]

Anastasia? Are you there?

[Levy promised to look after the young girl in Mamoru's place and she isn't about to break that promise now.]

Anastasia? It's me. Levy.

[She looks down at the knob wondering if it's locked.]

Can I come in?

[Anastasia had not responded. She was facing the the dior before, but upon hearing Levy, she managed to muster enough energy to get out of bed and move to unlock her door.

Once that was done, she moved back to her bed to once more curl up into a ball on it.]

"...come in..."

[Levy carefully turns the knob of the door and pushes it open. When the slit is small enough she slips inside and closes the door behind her. Her expression is worried as she walks over and sits at the edge of Anastasia's bed.]

How are you?

[She's clearly not doing well.]

[Anastasia was quiet, very quiet. One might be able to hear just her breathing. She was indeed not doing well at all. She still wouldn't move though, even when she felt the bed dip slightly from Levy's weight on the edge.]

"...is there...any news...?"

[Levy lightly began to brush Anastasia's hair with her fingers as she spoke. She doesn't know if it's comforting or not but she hopes so.]

No, I'm sorry but I think he's gone.

[This isn't the first time she's seen someone leave.]

[Having her hair brushed helped a little, but it did nothing for the pain to come.

The moment it was confirmed that Mamoru was gone, Anastasia flung her communicator off her bed, curling up into a tighter ball as she began to weep through her hands and words.]

"Ma...Mamoru's gone... K-Ko-ishi's dead... Why? Why am I lo-sing all of my f-friends so fast?! Who's n-next?!"

[Levy attempts to comfort her, her voice is soft and soothing.]

Koishi isn't gone forever Anastasia.

[She can't say where Mamoru is but...]

Mamoru is probably back home. I'm sure he's safe and happy.

[Anastasia's sobbing steadily slows, but her tears still flowed. She understands Koishi might be back, as she saw that with Fai. But that doesn't stop the fact from being any less painful.]

"...But what about me...? He promised to protect me... Who's going to do that now?"

[Levy shifts her weight and pulls Anastasia into her arms. It's a little difficult and a little awkward as she holds the girl close considering Levy isn't very big. Her head rests lightly against Anastasia's.]

I already promised him. [Her voice is soft speaking into Anastasia's ear like a secret.] I will protect you.

[Her voice is steady and confident while remaining soft and gentle.]

I promise.

[Anastasia didn't protest as she is pulled into Levy's arms. She even shifted her own position to make it less difficult. She didn't know what Levy can do, but she trusts her. One thing Levy might notice was how cold the girl felt.]

"What am I going to do, Levy?"

We will keep moving forward.

[She smiles sadly.]

He wouldn't want you to give up.

"But I don't know what to do, how I should think, or how I should feel..."

[Anastasia nuzzled against Levy, but really she was shaking her head in distress.]

"I don't know how to move on..."

[Levy exhales a soft breath.]

For now, be sad. You'll never stop missing him but tomorrow...

[She smiles a little bit.]

Tomorrow we start the first step. You get up and try your best. It won't be overnight, and it might take longer than you want but you will be able to keep going.

[She looks down at the cold girl in her arms.]

Your stronger than you think.

[Anastasia simply went quiet. She didn't know what else to say or do at the moment. She didn't know what she will do tonight, tomorrow of the days ahead.

She eventually did mutter something.]

"...if only Noah were here... He would never leave me."

[Levy doesn't know who that is and so she just continues to comfort Anastasia to the best of her abilities.]

He didn't leave you knowingly.

[She might explain who Noah is if asked.]

"...Is there anywhere I can go? To try to get my mind off this...?"

Where do you want to go?

[Levy asks softly.]

[Anastasia's own tone of voice was starting to get monotonous.]

"Somewhere. Anywhere. I don't care."

[Levy isn't sure what to do.]

Why don't we have a sleep over at my house?

[Anastasia considers it for a moment. She has reservations, but she was desperate for a reason to get out of the Home for Children.]

"...Okay. ...Your housemate will stay in his own room, won't he?"

Of course.

[David is good about personal space.]

[Anastasia sits upright, letting her legs hang over the edge.]

"...Can we go now? After I get dressed and packed, of course."

Yeah.

[Levy smiles brightly and moves out of Anastasia's way so that she can collect her things.]

[Anastasia moved to her closet and quicky slipped out of her bunny-print night gown, switching into an outfit more casual than her usual. A puffy short sleeved collared top and lightly frilled skirt shows how comfortable she is in cold weather.

She then gathered up more clothes for following days plus sleep wear into a back pack. Anastasia turned to Levy when she was ready to go.]

"I'm ready now. Thank you for taking me away from this place."

[Levy nods and then guides Anastasia from the depressing building. She actually lives only a few blocks away so it isn't so hard to get back to Levy's house. She looks over at Anastasia with a smile.]

What do you want for dinner?

[Anastasia picks up the pace to remain close to Levy. She was quiet the entire time until she was asked about dinner preference.]

"Umm... What do you have?"

A lot of things.

[She smiles at the question.]

Sometimes I like having breakfast for dinner.

[What's better than bacon, eggs and pancakes for breakfast.]

"You can actually do that?"

[She can only ask that question when she had no say on what she's allowed to eat.]

[Levy looks at Anastasia curiously.]

Why not?

[Anastasia gathered her long hair to gently stroke while she thinks of simple explanation of her routine.]

"I was only giving very specific foods at certain times. Like, foods that give you energy in the morning and then foods to help you sleep after dinner."

[Levy simply smiles at the young girl.]

I'm not used to that. We had Master to look after us but we mostly ate what we wanted.

[They learned quickly that candy isn't a breakfast.]

"Who is Master?"

[Speaking as if it was the person's name. Anastasia certainly learned that Genessia has a lot of names that aren't common in her world.]

The Master of my guild Fairy Tail. He looked after me when I was little.

[She never knew her family.]

"Guilds still exist in your world? What is Fairy Tale? Do you tell stories and write fairy tales for children?"

Fairy Tail is a mage guild.

[She smiles.]

It's the one I'm apart of.

[Levy pauses as they reach the front of her door. She opens it up only to be greeted by her over eager pokemon.]

[Anastasia was about to ask more about the guild until they reached Levy's house. Seeing the familiar fire piglet show up made the girl back off in fear.

Anything hot is still dangerous to her health.]
