Prince Takumi of Hoshido
13 March 2019 @ 01:59 am
[Down along the roads from Lakendell to Fayren, green bolts fly which emit strong gusts of wind, striking huge, hulking humanoids, the impacts of arrows making them erupt in globs of shadows and disappear.

The Hoshidan Prince is not fooling around. Were his suspicions founded after all? Was he right all along? Did they really betray them all? The fear and hatred in his eyes and movements guide him on a rampage as more of these things become victims of Fujin Yumi.]

Those damned Nohrians! How could they just go off and do this? Damn them all! I trusted you!

Damn you, Xander! [Flash!] Damn you, Camilla! [Flash!] Damn you, Elise! [Flash!] Damn you, Leo! [Flash!]

Come at me, you faceless filth! Come face the might of Hoshido!

[In the midst of his rampage, more Faceless were appearing and were steadily beginning to surround him.]

(Later she finds the strength to send out a message.)

Do not believe the visions. We must rise above them. We must...

(But her eyes are red-rimmed and a few tears roll down her cheeks.)

How might I be rid of him?

黒値辜 ♥ 砂糖 { kuroneko  satou }

Good afternoon, everyone! This is Guardian Satou of Genessia speaking.

It has come to my attention that there is something unusual happening in the cities of Everglade and Fayren. For those of you who have encountered something, please consider giving me a report. We'll be able to get to the bottom of this faster if we have more information.

The Genessia Training Center will be closed until this issue is resolved. Shota, Toshinori, Hizashi: You're on paid vacation. I will be turning the center into a temporary shelter for anyone displaced by the events in their cities. If you need a place to stay, please inform me. I'll do what I can.

[Filtered to Guardians]
How are things looking in your cities? Genessia seems to be unaffected: I'm not sensing any distress out of the ordinary.

How should we proceed? It seems the issue is fairly large-scaled.

[Filtered to Deputies of Genessia]
Bulla, Allen, Rogers, Lea. I'd like for you to tighten patrol around the Archways. The problem seems localized to Everglade and Fayren right now. We absolutely cannot allow for it to breach Genessia, and potentially spread to the other cities.

Bulla: Nova. Allen: Fayren. Lea: Attleton. Rogers: Everglade.

If you notice any suspicious activity, let me know.

Allen Walker
13 March 2019 @ 12:55 pm
[Allen had been feeling at peace being here, like the last world he didn't feel the need to always be fighting, or as of the more recent memories that he got back running away from a certain someone.

That, someone, happened to be the guy he was currently running away from in Fayren. Though for some people he probably doesn't look as terrifying as some of the other things going around, but to Allen he was a nightmare.

He knew back at home what he had been trying to do and he honestly thought he had been safe here in Genessia, but as he turned around the corner he pressed his back again the wall lok=oking down at his right hand. It didn't appear to be reacting, calling out to the other as it had done previously.

It was frankly... odd, but he shook his head as he soon peered around the corner to check everything out, spotting someone he soon spoke up.]

Video;
[Allen had soon reached the Genessia he switched on the device.]

I need to ask for a favor for anyone in Fayren. It's just basically to check on Link Jr, my pokemon friend. I kind of left him behind without warning and I worry he will worry and try and look for me and get lost. Timcampy should be fine as he can track me down, but the other cannot.

[He paused for a moment as he was walking through the gate to Genessia.]

Action; Genessia
[Allen hadn't seen the other since he came through the gate, but he knew to still keep moving just in case, which meant... Bulla wasn't going to be too happy with him having to go back to the lifestyle he had picked when he first arrived here. But he had his reasons and he was sure she would understand them if he told her.

A) But Allen can soon be found on patrol near the Fayren gate, moving away whenever someone was coming through just in case he was.

B) When he wasn't working on patrol he was gambling in various bars with a smug look on his face as he won his next hand.]

Call!

[His hand was royal flush and was a pretty good hand compared to the others who seemed annoyed.]

Do you want to go for another round or do you give up? [Allen asked as it seemed like the others were calling it quits as he soon started to collect his winnings and looking through them.]

Remilia Scarlet
Well. Thanks to a certain someone showing up and drawing her attention from the general goings on in Everglade and beyond, she comes back to find everything sliding into complete and utter chaos. Few, though, are willing to be in Everglade at night, herself being one of them.

Genessia is soon greeted by a very annoyed Remilia... who almost looks like she's Grumpy Cat in the form of a small vampire girl.

"I look away for a few moments and next thing I know, all the 'cities' have gone into a state of pandemonium...! The worst enemies of several people and bogeymen show up, and all at once?" She had been fine... mostly because her fears are heard to really personify.

There was a sudden noise behind her as a boogyman tries to get her from behind... only to get 'backhanded' by one of Remilia's wings and sent crashing into a heap several feet behind her. "...Irritating creatures."

Theodore (Ted) Satchel
[Wasting no time, Ted's voice is urgent and rings with authority. The format's video, but a text accompaniment follows soon after for permanence's sake.]

Some notes on Genessia's current trouble!
  • If you're in danger, press the emergency button on the upper-right of your phone. This will broadcast your location to the Guardians, then everyone else if they're no help.
  • Hereon, I'll refer to the foes attacking everyone as "phantoms." They seem exclusive to Fayren and Everglade.
  • Phantoms are specially linked to their targets, appearing as something particularly horrifying or painful to them. They will attack that person and only that person whenever possible. Use this to your advantage if you're rescuing one so-attacked. You must be in the middle between the phantom and your target if you wish to defend the target.
  • They're emotionally linked to their targets as well. The more afraid and anxious you are, the stronger they become. Keep a level head.
  • I've not heard any casualties, or even hospitalizations, thus far.
  • Phantoms appear to have no interest in fakes; just ourselves.
  • Physical destruction will defeat them. If you can, strike hard and fast; some know when they're outmatched and will flee.
  • Trying to restrain or disable them doesn't seem to work for very long; they've broken free from my attempts, forcing more permanent means.
  • There's no discernible pattern to their forms, abilities, or number. Stay flexible.
  • If you've beaten yours, as I have, you'll not be accosted again, and are free to aid others.
  • It's probable that they're formed from the minds of their targets. In which case, if you'd like to provide aid and have not entered Fayren or Everglade, I recommend staying out. You might end up creating more of the same trouble you sought to solve. If you wish to help from afar, the best method--as always--is prayer.

I'll update more as more's discovered. Go under the Protection.

[Boring responsibilities discharged, Ted lets down his serious face and voice to have some fun. Paradoxically, levity was more important now than ever. Silliness may be the world's salvation, and he's an expert.]

Or you might as well skip the middleman and contact me directly; I'll be there in a blink. I'm a bounty hunter, so I'm used to doing the Guardians' jobs for them. And how well I do it! I've encountered a handful of phantoms--creatures whose very lifeblood is the dread of their targets--and they ran from me! Apparently I'm what monsters fear when they have nightmares. You can't ask for higher praise.

Hopefully yours aren't the talkative type. They're born from your minds, you see, so if you get one with a mind to monologue, prepare to suffer a mawkish, maudlin melodrama. A fate worse than death.

As to whoever's behind it, know that I relish the thought of bringing you to justice. However, in all sincerity and charity...

Thank you. I learned an invaluable lesson. What's more, blasting these illusions to oblivion is supremely cathartic, especially in a world like this. Oh! Can't forget gratitude for Everglade's half. The knock-on benefits there are much appreciated.

[He ended with a warm, sunny smile, hoping his good mood's infectious.]

[OOC: This is all based on Ted's personal experiences and over-confidence in his own rightness. It's a problem. I'm not running the event; they're just his IC deductions, nothing more~]
