[Hikari didn't expect to wind up here of all places. She had been expecting to go to the digital world for the first time and help the others deal with a situation where the world could be seen in the sky. It had been strange to say the least and she knew what she had to do as one of the Chosen Children. However when she found herself waking up in a pod surrounded by water and no sight of the others, she was more than a little concerned.

where was her brother? Where were the others? Did you wake up like she did? She didn't know nor could she tell as she soon found the basic's that everyone gets at Genessia. Okay, so that could be considered a little odd as well why would she need these after all.

It had taken her a while before she finally left the Bay, device in hand and looking around nervously. Her partner and friend wasn't here either so she knew that was troubling. Where was Tailmon? She had to be here somewhere, right? What seemed important now was finding her partner and the others, but she didn't know how to go about it. After all she didn't have a clue where to start and maybe just walking and seeing if anyone had seen them might help. After all she figured in this world she would stand out much like the others.

So taking those first few steps, she started to walk and look around the city. It didn't take her long to look positively puzzled. There were normal looking people wondering around, not creatures like she expected. So she started to wonder if perhaps she was just sent to another part of the world somehow and that if she looked up she might still see the world above her, but when she placed her hand on top of her head and looked up all she could see is sky. That... was pretty normal. She was sure you could see it. Then what was going on.

The more she didn't understand the more she worried. She had no idea where she was or even how she was going to get back to the others. She was lost, confused and didn't have a clue what to do next. All that she could do now was try her best and see if there really was a way.

So with that in mind she walked on over.]

Excuse me? May I ask about where we are?

[That seemed like a good first step at least.]

[ He's only partly normal looking, as far as one-armed cat men goes. He was surprised to be approached, still not used to it after his few months in Somarium, and his week in this new place. Then he crouched down to her level, used to the stature of children. After all, his most precious Mistress had been a little child. ]

Of course you may. However, I'm not certain I can be much of a guide here.

[ Emerald whirled around, looking at eye level at first. She hadn't exactly expected to see a kid there, so it took her a second to turn her eyes a little lower to the ground. Great. ]

Did you wake up in the bay?

[ It could just be a kid from around the town that got lost, but she might as well check. ]

[May not be much of a guide, she wondered if that meant he was not use to being here. But that wasn't what concerned her at all. The fact he only had one arm had her curious and a little concerned. The poor guy.]

What happened to you arm?

[She gave a small nod, so that is what it was called. It was slowly starting t sink in that maybe she wasn't in the Digital world after all. That wasn't good.]

I did. So it means you know about how we got here, right?

[ Nope it really is some kid without supervision who just woke up in the Bay. Emerald briefly wonders if she should just leave her to fend for herself. She definitely doesn't want to end up with some kid following her and the ones who do get left learn to get tough pretty quickly. She knows that more than well enough. ]

I don't know how we got here, but here is Genessia. Just avoid Everglade and Fayren and you probably won't get eaten by anything.

[ There, see? Helping the kid with tips. She's done her good deed for the year. ]

[ Ah, to think someone would focus on that the first thing they did.. No one usually cared about the state of a pet cat like him. ]

Oh, I was shot a little bit, so I lost it.

[That worried her even more, the poor thing got shot and lost an arm as a result. It made her quite sad to say the least.]

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope it didn't hurt too much.

[So there is more than one city. That is something that passed the young girls mind. That means she has a lot to explore honestly with the hopes that there might be someone she knows somewhere around.]

Ah, thank you for letting me know. [She didn't want to be eaten, that she knew anyway. She give a smile as she was rather grateful for the advice.]

If you use that video phone they gave you, you can make an open post to see if there's anyone who knows you. I thought I was alone too until I made one and a couple people I knew came to say hi.

[ Emerald reaches out and ruffles the kid's hair a little with a smile. ]

I'm sure you're not stranded totally alone, but you'll get plenty of offers for somewhere to stay if you are.

You mean this right? [She goes into the envelope and pulls it out holding it up. It was different and had no idea how exactly to use it yet considering.]

I could use it... but I didn't know how.

[ She was pretty sure she was getting her charity for the whole year by helping this kid. ]

[She listened to what the other had to say and couldn't help but be a little amazed at what such a little device could do. It was pretty amazing. But she was also grateful that she found someone who was willing to help her. So with a smile she looked at her.]

Thank you for helping... I don't have much, but I want to repay you somehow.

[ She isn't quite sure what she'd ask of the girl, honestly, but if she wants to pay her back? Emerald isn't inclined to say no. ]

[She smiles giving a nod.]

Okay then, then I'll owe you one whenever you need it.

[She knew she would keep her end of the bargain at least, she needed to repay it after all.]

I guess I should find somewhere to stay first though, so would you know any good places?

Nah, it was no big deal at all. I'm not the slightest bothered by it.

[ Of course, it's a bit harder to acquire food, and get dressed, and do his prostitute job, but that was merely details in the big picture ]

Really?

[She didn't think people wouldn't b bothered by losing something like that? Unless of course they were use to it or something, but she couldn't say if that was the case or not. But it did help her to worry less because of it.]

But how will you survive here, mister?

I'm living in a motel for now. There are a couple I checked out. It's not great. I'm sure you can get a nicer one and see about making some friends with someone who will want you to stick with them. There are a lot of people who'll offer places to live around here.

Really. [She goes quiet for a brief moment. Motels, hotel those seemed okay for now. At least until she could gather her bearings and understand what to do next.]

I'll make sure to do that. after all it doesn't sound like a hard thing to do.

I'll borrow the foot of beds or something. I've always managed somehow.

[ Don't talk about your prostitute ways too openly to a child please, Cat. It's not appropriate. ]

I mean, I'm a cat, so I'll just do whatever comes to mind and deal with the consequences no matter what happens.

[ Mostly by ignoring said consequences but he has a goal and he doesn't care if he hurts people while getting there. ]

They seem pretty lax about asking for any ID here since they have so many newcomers. You'll be fine.

[ Emerald puts her hand on Hikari's shoulder briefly, almost just a light tap, but it's a supportive gesture. ] Good luck, kid.

You don't look like a cat though, so you could just stay in a bed. I mean you have ears, but you look like a human.

[She didn't mean it in a rude way either, but she couldn't really explain it better.]

I wouldn't want you to have just the foot of the bed.

[She gives a small nod and a smile.]

Thank you. I hope we get to speak to each other again.

[After all she still owes her in her mind, so she would have to. After giving a small wave she heads off.]

[ Emerald waves with both hands as the kid goes off, then turns around to go back off to doing her own thing. ]

I might look it, but I definitely am a proper cat. [ Once upon a time, at least. ]

The foot of it is just enough for me though, really. It's quite comfortable.

[She smiled slightly. Even though he doesn't look it she can't help but treat him more like a person than a cat.]

So would you get your own place, share or just go from house to house sometimes? I mean I know cats like a wonder and all.

[ Being treated as someone undesirable was what he was used to, but, ah well. He was getting a little bit used to not having to buy affection. ]

I'll start off wandering, at least. I don't need possessions, anyway.

[She looked at little sad at him saying that.]

While I agree people don't need those types of things, I hope that you'll find friends here and that they'll let you stay. I know I would.

[ Friends? Well, he sort of had some, but not here. And not in Wonderland. They all were people he had only known in a dream. ]

Perhaps. I'll take it at the pace it comes, though.

[She smiles and out her hands behind her back.]

I don't mind at all.

[She gave a small smile, giving a wave.]
