I'd like to make a comprehensive list of important holidays from as many worlds as possible. After Halloween, I realized that many of us probably don't have the same holidays but I don't think we should lose our cultural practices. I'd like to learn the ones popular in Genessia and the associated cities as well, but I don't think we should lose ourselves because of it.

I would like to request information on any holidays, particularly upcoming ones, from any and all worlds. At least that way we can have the information in one public area for everyone's access. Feel free to include as much detail as you'd like.

[ Ruby may notice that her shoes are all missing. Except for those heels she came in. Which is probably a terrifying thought for her, but Weiss didn't do it just because she thought she should work on her balance. That was part of it, but mostly Frost wouldn't stay out of her bed since she got back and she's absolutely certain it's Ruby's fault.

So this is both about improving Ruby's ability to walk in heels (which she's sure Ruby will thank her for later if she has to attend a fancy event at any point so she isn't miserable all the time) and getting Frost to stay out of her bed, since Frost seems to adore climbing around in Ruby's boots. Either way, Weiss is playing with her nails while she waits for Ruby to notice. The loud sounds of their distraught leader will be there any minute now.. ]

[Why are all of her shoes missing...?

WHY. ARE. ALL. OF. HER. SHOES. MISSING?

Okay, on the exception of those demon heels that she wore to the dance. And then a thought came to her. Weiss. She made comments about how Ruby needed to learn how to walk in heels and suddenly all of her normal shoes are mysteriously missing.

Loud sounds indead.... Because suddenly your door is being slammed open.]

Damn it, Weiss! I told you I'm not doing it!

[Have you noticed that she's barefoot right now? Yeah.... Not wearing them...]

[ She doesn't seem remotely thrown by this sudden action! Mostly because she fully expected it. The shoes are actually under her bed, deep enough down there that they're not immediately visible. Weiss looks up. ]

And I told you not to left Frost sleep in your bed while I was gone, but since neither of us are listening to each other? I think it's time we work on your balance.

Oh my god! He doesn't have to sleep in your bed! He can sleep with me if he wants to. This isn't fair! Are you trying to kill me?

[UGH! REALLY WEISS?]

He's my dog and I want him sleeping in my room.

[ Weiss stood up and started heading over to Ruby's closet now. ] Besides, you'll improve your fighting quite a bit if you learn to balance in a non-combative situation. Also, you won't have to stand on the sidelines any time there's a party.

Has it occurred to you that I'm not a party/dance kind of person yet? I'm okay with standing on the sidelines.

[Okay, she'd do parties depending on what it was about]

My fighting is just fine as it is.

You could probably actually participate if you knew how to walk in heels. I'm not saying that you have to go to every one that happens, but it would be nice to be able to dance with a friend.

[ She's fetching the heels and setting them down in front of Ruby. ]

If your fighting was already perfect, you wouldn't still be in school with the rest of us. I would think you'd be eager to learn a new way to improve.

I don't dance, either. [Okay, she did with Yang very slightly, but that was different.] What's so bad about wearing flat shoes at a dance?

And how would learning how to wear heels make my fighting any better...?

Look, I know you're still young but in a couple of years, you might be interested in relationships. And if you are, you're going to want to show off your legs. Heels make them look fantastic.

Like I said, it's about being able to control your balance on a much smaller level than if you need to jump off of something that's falling. You have better control of your feet. Being able to direct your movements from the balls of your feet instead of your whole foot also allows you to change positions more readily and unpredictably in a fight, making it easier to adjust to moves by your opponent more quickly. You could probably even increase your speed even more if you got good at it.

I'm only two years younger than you are.... I'm not that young. Besides, I've never had anyone make me want to be in a relationship with them just yet.

[Are you really having this talk with her, Weiss? She still thinks these heels are demon heels, but what she said made a lot of sense; as much as she didn't want to admit it.]

You're not going to give my shoes back until I do this, are you?

Worse. I'm going to take them out every night from where I have them hidden and let Frost sleep in them if you don't.

[ She sounds so proud of this plan. ]

Why would you let Frost sleep in my shoes?

[Okay, that doesn't seem that bad but... that was weird....]

He actually went right to them when I grabbed them the first time, I think he likes them better than my bed.

[ It was kind of weird but if it keeps him out of her bed and Ruby would have LITTLE TINY PUPPY FURS ALL OVER THEM AND THEY'D PROBABLY ITCH A LITTLE then it's good material to blackmail her into heel training with. Probably. ]

[Not really. She could always just dump the fur out and she'd wear them anyways... She doesn't care because she has Zwei that she looks after at home.]

Fine, I'll wear your stupid shoes if it means it'll get you to leave me alone about this.

Good. Come on, I'll help.

[ Weiss looks like she just won something because Ruby agreed to be honest. Weiss moves in front of her and holds both of her hands out so Ruby can balance. ]

Stand on your toes.

[Only because she knows she won't let her out of this now.]

Fine, fine...

[Doing as instructed.]

[Coming out of her room in her bed time clothes with her book, hoping to make some late night tea, she's greeted with a sight....she didn't expect to see.

For the moment, she stares, her bow twitching curiously from her ears. She's almost contemplating going right back in to her room.]

Uh...having fun?

While you're standing like that, tighten your abdominal muscles to take some of the balancing efforts away from your legs and knees.

[ Weiss looks over at Blake once she finishes her instruction, then lets go of one of Ruby's hands so Blake can come grab it. ]

I'm teaching her how to walk in heels, you help too.

[Ugh... These are annoying already. With her letting go one of her hands, she started to stumble a little, but caught her balance again.]

Oh great... This could be a team bonding time...

[So much sarcasm right there.]

[Sets down her book and heads over to take Ruby's other hand, watching her wobble only a little to catch her balance again.]

Is there- a reason for teaching her to?

She is right though, you have to strengthen your core to hold yourself steady.

You know learning to balance herself on a smaller scale will help improve her fighting. Plus, she'll be able to dance with us at parties and I can't get Frost to stay off of my bed since she babysat him while I was gone.

[ Two out of three are noble reasons that aren't revenge, that counts, right? ]

Ruby already agreed anyway. [ Okay, back to business. ] Since you're just starting, put your heel to the ground first instead of your toes. That'll make your legs take some of the impact so the balls of your feet aren't taking all of your weight.

I don't dance... [As she's pointing out flaws...] All because Frost wanted to sleep in my bed with me while she was gone.

Only because I doubt you'd give my shoes back if I didn't.....

[But whatever they meant about this heel talk, she was barely following. Still, putting her heel down first seems simple enough.]

So it's punishment? And a lesson all in one. [Eh,s he can respect that at least.]

Should of probably started her off on lower heels and worked her up. These ones from the dance are pretty thin in the back.

Just consider this a new kind of training. If you're at a party and in trouble again, then you won't have anything to fear.

Frost is a dog, he wants to do everything everywhere. That's why I told you not to let him and you said sure, then didn't. And now he yips if I don't let him into the bed with me so I can't sleep either. So now you don't get your shoes back until you can walk in heels. I already set up a way for you to earn your shoes back once you can walk too.

[ There may be single ziplocks with one cookie each hidden around the house for Ruby to go looking for once she can walk at an acceptable level.

Weiss looks at Blake, making sure to hold onto Ruby tightly in case Ruby loses balance. ]

The only ones I have are higher than these. I don't exactly have Schnee Company funds here to buy her a bunch of new shoes with and anything cheap is only going to hurt her more.

[See Blake makes more sense than you do, Weiss.]

But I managed just fine.

[Or so she assumes. She didn't actually get to the fighting portion just yet.]

What?! That's not fair and you know it! I'll search your room for my shoes if I have to.

You said once I learned how to walk in heels, I'd get them back. There should be no further test for that!

You also don't want to break your ankle if you stand on them wrong or chase after someone.

[Glances over at Weiss.] I was more so thinking just going to the shopping districts just to try them on.

[Looks at her hand and slowly pulls it back.] Try your balance and- probably try not to fall. Our neighbors might start sending complaints.
