I'd like to make a comprehensive list of important holidays from as many worlds as possible. After Halloween, I realized that many of us probably don't have the same holidays but I don't think we should lose our cultural practices. I'd like to learn the ones popular in Genessia and the associated cities as well, but I don't think we should lose ourselves because of it.

I would like to request information on any holidays, particularly upcoming ones, from any and all worlds. At least that way we can have the information in one public area for everyone's access. Feel free to include as much detail as you'd like.

[ Ruby may notice that her shoes are all missing. Except for those heels she came in. Which is probably a terrifying thought for her, but Weiss didn't do it just because she thought she should work on her balance. That was part of it, but mostly Frost wouldn't stay out of her bed since she got back and she's absolutely certain it's Ruby's fault.

So this is both about improving Ruby's ability to walk in heels (which she's sure Ruby will thank her for later if she has to attend a fancy event at any point so she isn't miserable all the time) and getting Frost to stay out of her bed, since Frost seems to adore climbing around in Ruby's boots. Either way, Weiss is playing with her nails while she waits for Ruby to notice. The loud sounds of their distraught leader will be there any minute now.. ]

Okay, on the exception of those demon heels that she wore to the dance. And then a thought came to her. Weiss. She made comments about how Ruby needed to learn how to walk in heels and suddenly all of her normal shoes are mysteriously missing.

Loud sounds indead.... Because suddenly your door is being slammed open.]

[Have you noticed that she's barefoot right now? Yeah.... Not wearing them...]

[ She doesn't seem remotely thrown by this sudden action! Mostly because she fully expected it. The shoes are actually under her bed, deep enough down there that they're not immediately visible. Weiss looks up. ]

And I told you not to left Frost sleep in your bed while I was gone, but since neither of us are listening to each other? I think it's time we work on your balance.

Oh my god! He doesn't have to sleep in your bed! He can sleep with me if he wants to. This isn't fair! Are you trying to kill me?

[ Weiss stood up and started heading over to Ruby's closet now. ] Besides, you'll improve your fighting quite a bit if you learn to balance in a non-combative situation. Also, you won't have to stand on the sidelines any time there's a party.

[Ozpin just sits in silence for a few seconds, sipping his coffee as he studies Weiss' face. The way she's throwing herself into studying other cultures, the tone of her voice, small things about her face and body language... they all pointed to something being up.]

[ So many things. Professor Ozpin somehow spotted that something was bothering her. She wondered if it was that easy to tell or if he'd honestly spent time trying to decide. She wasn't even sure what gave it away. ]

It's... I had an argument with someone that got out of hand and I can't change anything because I don't think I'm the one in the wrong this time. It won't affect anyone else, Professor, I promise.

[Ozpin sighs. Weiss was a bit more difficult to read than Glynda, but he kind of figured she probably had more practice in that regard, considering the Schnee family, and the pressures that came with it.]

That's just it though, Weiss. Being a part of a team means being part of something that doesn't end with just you. What effects you, effects your team. You may be good at hiding your emotions but... somehow I doubt that it's something as simple or innocuous as an argument with "someone."

No, it really-- it was a stupid argument. He said something that I didn't like, I got a little touchy because I already didn't feel good that day, then he started making fun of what I said instead of just realizing that I wasn't okay with what he'd said, so I told him as much and said I was going home. Then he yelled at me and stormed off.

I can't just apologize and take the blame for something I'm not wrong about just because I want this to stop. Which means all I can do is wait.

Holidays, hm...

[Well, it had been a while since Bridget had thought to celebrate anything. Like... a thousand years. It's going to take a moment or five.]

The Bloodline always viewed the moon in a very special way since we're normally nocturnal. Winter solstice was perhaps the most celebrated followed by summer solstice. There were smaller festivals around the other moon cycles but on the occasions when a full moon fell on winter solstice there tended to be parties throughout the month.

What sorts of things did you do at the festivals?

I...I found we have a few that I've found are similar. Like the...Halloween here was the same as Nightmare Night. So I wonder what holidays you have and what they mean because I'm curious to know if they are the same.

But to help I know of an upcoming holiday known in my world as Hearth's Warming Eve. it's a day all about friendship.

In my world, the most important event is the Vytal Festival. It's a festival to celebrate the various cultures of the world and people from all four kingdoms come together to celebrate it. Hunters and huntresses also participate in the tournament to represent their kingdom. We alternate which kingdom hosts the festival each year since everyone has to travel to attend it.

How do you celebrate Hearth's Warming Eve? [ Though she can't for the life of her figure out why you need a holiday to celebrate friendship. ]

Oh wow, that sounds like a very lovely festival, but...Is that the only one?

[That sounded like she was a little more curious because to her it did sound nice.]

Oh, usually we put on a play about how Equestria. was founded. As I mentioned it's a play about how friendship could help defeat a creature. it's a lovely story and at the end we all sing a song.

I come from an area that uses a lunar calendar, so getting exact dates is kinda tough.

Nowruz is celebrated at the start of spring. It's the new year in my culture. People try to start the year off positively, like letting go of grudges and visiting friends and family.

[ She says it a little slowly, repeating the word so that she at least pronounces it right since it doesn't sound like it's in her native tongue. ]

Well, there's a New Year celebration, but I suppose we could try to pick a day in spring. How do you usually celebrate it?

Whatever marks the first day of spring.
People clean and decorate their homes and pay back their debts right before. Vessels in the home are filled with milk, airan, that's a kind of yogurt, grain and spring water. That's in hopes of plenty of rain for the land, and milk from the livestock.

It's good luck to visit as many friends and relatives as possible. There's games and horse racing, and you can get away with goofing off.

I heard in some places folk jump over fires.

[ He goes into more detail about the food] There's Nowruz Kozhe, not everyone makes it exactly the same way beyond it having seven ingredients. It's like porridge or soup depending on what you use. There's usually some kind of meat like horse or mutton...

There's kok samsa, pastries filled with spring greens and grass sprouts ...

[It took Azula a few seconds before answering. She had to wrap her mind around a love-sick brother being a jerk to said love interest. But she easily shrugs it - because in her opinion, she was nicer one.]

Those are certainly interesting. But those holidays afforded to the royal family are much more relevant.

[She's had her hands full, what with the attack the previous week, and the annoying broadcasts against her.]

Heya! Gotta love holidays. Some important ones on my world are Christmas and Valentine's Day. Christmas is kinda religious. Celebrates the birth of the Jesus, the son of God. Lots of presents and family stuff. Valentine's Day celebrates romantic love. Lotsa flowers and chocolate for that one.
