One of the holidays that was mentioned to me is coming up. It's called Christmas, and while it's traditionally a religious holiday, I've found that the majority of people celebrate it more as a friends-and-family togetherness and year-end celebration. There's a lot of music, winter themes, gift-giving, parties, traditional food, and significant abuse of the colors red, green, and gold.

Since Team RWBY (Ruby, me- Weiss, Blake, and Yang) is getting our own house soon, I figured we should have a Christmas-slash-Housewarming party on Christmas Eve, December 24th. There will be a Secret Santa, so make sure you bring a gift. Secret Santa is a game named after a fictional overweight man in a red suit who brings gifts to good children every year, except in Secret Santa you're only in charge of getting a gift for one randomized person at the party. That said, it will be taken out of the list of RSVPs so make sure that if you want a gift or to give one, you RSVP. Rules regarding gifts include a price ceiling of $100, no living creatures, no gifts that would cost more money in the long run for upkeep, nothing that is going to make a mess if someone opens it at the party, nothing illegal, and nothing that's going to cause more harm than good. The last rule is that you absolutely cannot tell anyone whose Secret Santa you are. It is called "Secret" Santa for a reason. And if you don't follow the rules, you're not getting invited to the next party.

The location will be announced officially in a few days. If you aren't RSVPing, make sure that you know someone who is so you get the directions. Expected attire is dress but not formal. There's no need to show up in a tuxedo, but please don't show up in jeans and a t-shirt either.

We're going to have soundproofed walls now, so it isn't going to matter if we're louder or quieter or if we get into very loud situations involving games or food fights or anything along those lines. See? There are some benefits to losing us as neighbors. Even if you'll actually have to get your own dinnerware from now on.

[ If Neptune could return all the stuff Sun borrows and doesn't give back that would be great but she won't specifically ask. ]

So what you're saying is that you're going to have a lot of loud parties?

I guess we'll have to now, with you guys leaving.

With how much he was fighting for it, there really is.

[ there's a slight indignance to her tone. ]

We aren't going to have a lot. We just happen to have a place to do that now when we want to.

Well, don't thank me until he gets to the party properly dressed.

Oh, c'mon. Where's the fun in that?

Oh, I'm sure it'll show up very well when we aren't starving because we spend all of our money on parties.

That's why you tell people to bring food and drinks. Actually, now that I think about it... Should I bring anything to the party?

I did that at the last party I threw. Christmas seems to be a more formal event, so I'm going to be doing a lot of the cooking either here or ordering it from a store. Are you any good at cooking?

I'm... Okay at cooking. But I can always help with getting things from a store. Or just pick up the drinks.

I'll leave you in charge of the drinks then.

Now... I should go shopping. I need to find clothes for me and Sun. I'll catch ya later, Weiss.
